I have a question hopefully somebody can answer for me. I just flashed Duttys wm 6.1 fixed from April 16th, and then I added the wm7.tsk which is the blue theme for the today screen, does anybody know how I can get the dialer to match it? when I open up the dialer the screen is grey/black along with the buttons but the upper and lower bars are blue. I want the background to match the today screen and I have literally been searching for 2 hours and cant find anything. I have found a couple of cabs that say blue dialer skin but they dont work so any help is appreciated.

You would need to modify the dialer images. You can find one of the dialer cabs & extract it to see the names of all the button & background image files then you'll need to either create new images that match, size wise, or use an editor to modify the images.

I use the following dialer Its the best match I've found so far. Just install the iphone dialer cab and then copy the contents of the zip file into the windows directory.

I modified some of the Windows Mobile 6 dialer skin files to change the appearance. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't look like there are any dialer skins for WM6 yet that works 100%. I tried the PaulyA skins, but some of the hardware buttons didn't work right. Anyway since I was doing this for my phone I thought I would see if anybody would be interested in using these as well. I was able to change the background image and buttons. However I was not able to find how to change the size of any of the buttons. Below are some of the screen shots I grabbed. Plus I can list the appropriate files so anybody else can make their own. The only problem I ran into was that whenever I changed the color of a button it gave me those purple corners. So I just need to spend more time in Photoshop to make sure the corners are the exact color the phone needs to make them transparent. But if you make your own buttons then its easier to make the transparent part the correct color.
Opinions?

These look great... ive actually been looking for some dialer skins that work for WM6 i got mb edition running. So what are the files? and if anyone else knows how to make the buttons bigger that would be cool... if u tell me the files.. i can try to edit them in photoshop also. im not a pro.. but i know a thing or two.
I've attached two skins. The Black.zip is the one pictured above that has the white looking rings around the buttons and the Clear.zip has no border. Also the Clear.zip lacks any background. However you can find it in the Black.zip file or use your own.
These two skins are complete and should work in both portrait and landscape modes. Make sure you back up your existing files before hand. You should be able to simply copy the original files directly from the Windows folder on the phone. To install these files on your phone copy them somewhere like your memory card and then use a file utility like Resco File Explorer to overwrite the files in the \Windows\ folder and soft reset.
Here is the list of the files. The naming convention seems to be fairly intuitive. "Port" and "land" designations are obvious. The "up" images are what you see all the time and the "dwn" are what you see when you press them.

*One trick I used for the dialer background was to take the Default_stwater_240_320.gif and Default_stwater_320_240.gif image files from the Windows folder (when using the default theme). Then take them into Photoshop and adjust the color to match your theme. When done save them as dlrback_land.png and dlrback_port.png.
**These dlrbtndef buttons are the ones on the right side that give you your arrow back and speed dial buttons.

Clear and Black CABS
I took the liberty of putting these in a CAB file. You can uninstall these if you don't like them.
I have tested these cabs and they work finr. But I am NOT liable for anything that might happen by using these cabs.

Flat Black Theme and Dialer
This is one CAB file that has the ALLBlack theme and the black dialer from raceit. You are able to uninstall this if you don't like it and a soft reset thereafter will set it back to default.
If you have installed the CAB file for the DIALERS from the ABOVE POST, PLEASE UNINSTALL IT BEFORE INSTALLING THIS CAB.
This is a BETA release as I still have to figure out why the black background won't set on the reset the first time. The FIX is to select the Allblack theme on "settings/today". You might have to select another theme and and select the AllBlack.
The Dialer graphics are from Raceit and the AllBlack theme is from somewhere in this forum I forget where.
No warranties or guarantees given for anything and I am NOT liable for anything that might happen to you device or should you have a flat tire after installing this CAB.
I wanted to throw up a few more complete dialer skins. Please check the post below for the zip files. (I seriously need to learn to make cab files.)

Here's my personal modification that's similar to the blue one Raceit pictured in his first post (4th picture). I wanted a dialer skin that matched the rest of WM6. I tried to match the buttons as close to the taskbar as I could.
Looks nice BBowermaster! What do you guys think of this one? It seemed like a good idea, but I think it still needs something more.
WM6 Theme/Dailer (Wizards/HERMES)
I have created these a Theme & Dailer cab. I am going to do somemore dark themes as I am into them. Any ideas or requests are welcome. Raceit, you're a BAD BAD person as you've got me started on this and it is taking away from a couple of apps (business related) I was working on for myself.

The main dailer graphics I used to create this were Raceit's clear dailer files. The main reason I turned this into a cab was for it to be able to uninstallable in case you want to.
I still have to figure out why the theme won't set on the reset the first time. The FIX is to select the cyberdrakula theme on "settings/today". You might have to select another theme click OK go back & re-select the cyberdrakula theme again.

White Background
Any idea why my background is staying white, I have tried several different cabs and even copied the black background, but it stays white. The background files are black, dlrback_land.png and dlrback_port.png, so I don't know what is going on.

Couple questions... Is it also white when you switch the phone to landscape mode? Also if you browse to your Windows folder and open up those two files are they the correct looking images or all white?

I did it using TF3D Config and though I really like this teme, I have 3 issues I would much appreciate help in solving so the skin is perfect for me.
1) Start Menue Colour Mis-match. After loading your theme the start menu background colour has not changed to black to match the rest of the theme. Instead it has remained O2 blue. Is there a way to change this? If so can anyone tell me how please?

I will have to look at the files for the weather editor to see if it can be changed for sure. I can change your sliders from blue to green pretty easy. The font I will see what I can do. Probably be tomorrow before I can post the cab though.
Do you want the black icons in comm manager? The stock one had black icons.
The background in the comm manager is the stock one. Do you want the squares to come clear to the front?
This will fix the sliders and hopefully the text. If you can find me that background I can make a cab. I dont have the white with black squares clear to the front
I used this theme which seems to change all pages and work well with one small problem...The Windows Mobile Start Menu is black text on a dark grey background making items nearly impossible to read. If someone fixed that, it would be perfect!

Many thanks with your help on this.
I installed your second .cab file and can report that the colour of the sliders was correctly changed to green.
However the last two options disappeared all together from the screen. Not sure if this is because the font was changed to white or something like that.
Also after installing your second .cab file I found that if I clicked on any option in the Communications screen the device went pearshaped and started selecting various other communication options I had not previously selected.
I am a newbie at this so could not figure out how to uninstall your .cab file so did a hard reset and am back to everything OK except for the blue Communications screen.
So I was wondering if you could make me a .cab file to change the screen colour to white with correct background for my theme as well as fonts and icons to black and highlight colours to green so that I can have the stock settings working properly?
You said that if I could get a copy of the background with black squares to front for you, that you would add this to the cab so backgrounds all match. I of course will do this if you can explain to me how to extract the background from my phone? Is that possible? If so I will copy the background file and send to you on here to add to the .cab file and then we can have just one file to make all changes.

The background you are talking about is a manila file. It is a pretty in depth job to extract it. Best bet is to do some web surfing for the white diamond BG

I am not sure why the cab I made would have any effect on those other screens. The reg settings in it are exclusive to the comm manager. Before installing the cab are the backgrounds on those screens black?

You were right your .cab file did not affect the fonts on the other screens. Instead it was a problem with the original theme. I removed the theme with TF3D Config and the reinstalled it and applied your .cab and all is great. thank you for your help.

Personally I don't like that flame-theme wich comes with it. So I tried to restore the theme to default. So basically I have the exact same request as NCU1980 had a few days ago.
Anyway.. I see NCU1980's problem had been solved, but could one of you guys post something about wich .CAB files should be downloaded from this thread and in wich order they should be installed? (as in a short tutorial os something)

You need to use tf3d config to install the HTC black theme first. Once you do let me know whats not right for you and Ill give you a hand
You can find that theme in the Diamond theme forum.
color issue
i have a color issue in the start drop down background it's light black little square's mixed with dark black square's colors are uneven any help with that i tried unistalling that custom manila fix but that didn't work and i think that is the source of the problem plz help.

I tried a number of black themes and found some to result in slowing down the touchflo interface considerably. I am a newbie but from what I gather after some reading is that the themes that affected performance over write .exe files and not just manilla .jpg files.
The theme I ended up using which I found did not affect performance can be found in the following post #561 by NisseDILLIGAF:

As aruppenthal says you have to download the file from this post and unzip the .theme file. Then using activesync copy the file over to a folder on your device/SD card and install it using TF3D config.
You might find that once installed you do not have the colour mismatch that I had, hope that helps.

Daft question I know (newbe), but how do you install the cab file over the existing theme, as I've tried to do this and still have the o2 start menu as first described.

You can get rid of the O2 coloured Start Menu by going to Start->Settings->System->TouchFlo
And within that options pane you need to disable (remove tick) from the Enable Enlarged Menu Opiton.
Once applied you should see a start menu that corresonds with your theme's colour. For some reason most themes I have tried do not as of yet support the finger friendly enlarged start menu.

hello all, first new topic so go easy on me. anyway, i read through a lot of ppl not being able to figure out the transparency slider, but that is not my issue. my issue is i cannot change the today background image period. i can select it, but the today screen never changes. i know it worked the day i bought it, but it does not work now. the only things i have done to it so far was to unlock it and change from the sprint clock to the flip clock. would either of those mess up my ability to change the background image?
It depends if you're doing the today background or the touch flow 3D background. If you have TF3D running it covers the traditional background that is changed in Start->Settings->Today. Instead scroll to the settings tab in TF3D and look for the wallpaper setting there.
I think there is a CAB floating around here that will push the TF3D wallpaper to all tabs.

slyng1 found the cab that I used. I have NATF's 1.1 ROM (basically the ATT ROM minus the bloatware) and the Black Touch Pro theme installed through Diamond TF3D Config and the cab works great.

I have tried some themes i found here but i have a problem;
when i used a theme named "wabbit" i got the rabbit-background in all menus,
like home,mail,settings etc...
BUT when i use others like ohyeahar`s theme or other themes i only get to choose background for the frontpage Home..
When i scroll to mail,weather,settings etc,i get the default black screen.
WHY?
It don`t look nice when i scroll from colorful background in HOME to a black screen on settings.
I also noticed the thumbnails on ohyeahar`s theme is different than mine,cause he has the transparent look in the hole menu.
I have tried go to settings-background,but for some reason only the front page is changing..
This also is for the default theme that came with the phone,if i want to use a yellow flower-background,the front is flower but when i use the slider to the rest,it the default blackscreen...

What ROM do you have? it says "For stock rom with manila 1.3.x u could use mun_background4allpages.cab only".

I was wondering what i takes to change the text color in the startmenu in a WinMo 6.5.x installation.
The registry method with color 39 does not seem to work anymore. I also tried a SK tool but no success either.

I have a HTC Touch Pro II which i have upgraded from the Touch Pro and its a far better phone, but i keep having menu text colour problems...
Basically, i created a theme for my old phone and installed it on my new one and it worked for a few days, then the menu text which started as all white, stated changing to black for some of the icons - not all, but a few days later they are all black, and on my black background its impossible to read...
So i changed the theme, all text again 2 different colours! different theme same thing :S
So went to the MS theme maker software which to cut a very long story short, finally managed to get a theme from the site and saved on my phone!
Success! untill the phone was reset and now its 2 colours again! this really doesn't make any sence...
So 1) why are there 2 different colours setup for the menu text? and is there any software which will let me edit all the colours for themes on my laptop then upload to the phone?

I Know This Thread Is Dead But This Will Help People Like Me Looking For A Fix
Here's how to change the Start Menu Text color:
*SAVE A COPY OF THE FILE YOU'RE EDITING SOMEWHERE IN CASE YOU SCREW SOMETHING UP!
1. Extract the file StartMenu_GridScene_480x800.cpr from your Windows directory to your desktop.
Mine includes 480x800 at the end because that's my devices resolution(Touch Pro II). If you have a different resolution, I'm pretty sure it will have that at the end of the file name.
2. Open the file on your PC with Notepad.
3. Find every occurrence of ForeColor="#00FFFFFF". Mine had two.
It might not be 00FFFFFF, but that's hex code for white so it probably will be.
4. Replace 00FFFFFF with whatever color hex code you want.
You can find any color's hex code online through Google.
5. Copy the edited file back into the Windows directory of your phone. Click yes when it asks if you want to overwrite the file.
6. I soft reset, though I don't know if it's necessary. I figure it can't hurt.
7. Check and see if it worked.
I've attached my .cpr in a ZIP file for BLACK Start Menu text. It works on my Sprint Touch Pro II, and it should work for others but it's still not my fault if something goes wrong. If you use mine, STILL SAVE A COPY OF YOUR .CPR IN CASE IT DOES SOMETHING FUNKY!
