so i jsut got my vox today love it and flashed it with dr. gonzos rom which is amazing but i cant get my 5.99 t zones to work ive tried all the normal stuff for the proxy and nothing seems to work i can either have email or internet not both and i cant seem to find where to configure my mms so that i can use oz for iming so any help with these issues would be amazing thanks guys
T-Zones working fine for me. I've used it for a couple of days and Internet and exchange mail work great. I have set up MMS but haven't tested. You can get to MMS settings by going to Start, Messaging, highlight MMS, press menu then settings. There may be an easier way but that worked for me.
ok thanks what were the exact settings you used for your internet possibly
im not setting something right and thanks for the tip with mms
doesn't the connection setup wizard do all of that?
it did for me on my network.

I'm running TNT 5.0 touch flo rom (loving it) and when i first flashed it onto my device, mms worked for the first time since wm5, even with all server settings correct. i have since flashed it on again and have the same server settings but upon hitting send/receiver or an mms showing up ready for download, i get an immediate "error synchronizing" at the bottom. can someone shed some light on this? thanks.
I have read many places that this notice occurs, even though your MMS is setup and working properly. You may want to try sending an MMS to a friend, and then asking a friend to send one to you, to test if you can actually send/receive.

I am having this issue/problem too. Has anyone posted a solution yet?
This problem is bit similar to mine i had after i bought wizard from T-Mobile. And the problem was in MMS settings. The MMS settings should be propper set in connections and Arcsoft MMS Composer too. I had this problem when i used settings preconfigured from my operator after a while someone released cab file to configure MMS and Internet connection direct for my operator needs and it started to work. So check your settings carefuly in Settings/Connections and in Arcsoft MMS Composer too
I updated my Kaiser to Dutty's Dual Touch V3 Final ROM and so far I'm very pleased (slightly more lag than Schap's 4.30 ROM but at least the camera works now flawlessly). Unfortunately I just found out half an hour ago that the SMS/text messaging isn't working. I tried everything, even tried different Radio ROMs (currently working with 1.27.12.17) but nothing helped.
Everything works fine, internet, data connection, everything. Just SMS/text messaging doesn't work, I'm desperate. I don't want to do a hard reset because I already installed most of my applications (took me over 2 hours!) and it would be a pain in the a.. to go through this again.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Does anybody else have the same problem?
I already used the HTC Connection Setup utility (V 1.0) after each and every Radio change and it works (T-Mobile internet works fine) but I still can't send SMS/text messages. Any way to manually enter the SMS/text messaging access number without using the HTC Connection Setup utility?
SMS Service (Settings) is set to "SMS over GPRS preferred", I also tried "GSM preferred" with no result.
Please help! Thanks.
Have you called your carrier to make sure the service is active on the network? Doesn't sound like a ROM issue to me, I'm running Dutty's v3 and SMS works perfectly...
I've just updated to Dutty's v3 rom and text messaging works fine for me too.
I use dutty's roms since the begining, and all of them worked.
I'm actually having this issue with multiple ROMs with my AT&T Tilt. SMS messages worked up until a few weeks ago.
I'm going to have to call support to find out what's going on, since my phone will state that the SMS successfully sent, but they are never received & my data plan shows 0 text messages used...

Actually this is not a "problem" but a registry hack that has been implemented. If you want that feature back, the simplest way would be to run something like Kaiser Tweak to re-enable it, and tweak some other components while you're at it.
i've never flashed a ROM in my life. however, many people say that after you flash a ROM you should do a hard reset, which for whatever reason, tends to work out kinks like that.
no problems here. Man dutty's V3 ROM ROCKS!
^^^^ That is exactly what i do everytime i flash a new rom. Once its done flashing and loading i do a clear storage and then run thru it make sure things work and then load up my programs.
Maybe I should have added that I'm not a newbie.
I did a hard reset before I flashed Dutty's new ROM and I did a hard reset after the flash. Everything works fine, I installed all my programs.
Just found out that SMS receiving works, I assumed this doesn't work either because sending SMS wasn't working.
So there is only ONE problem: SENDING SMS doesn't work.
There is no problem with my provider (T-Mobile Germany), SMS is a standard service with them and doesn't have to be activated.
Anybody having a clue? Why can I receive SMS but not send it? GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA data receiving/sending is working fine.
Oops: I might have an idea why sending SMS may not work, I'll check it out if it fixes my problem, stay tuned. I still appreciate all kind of hints if somebody has the same issue.
My problem was carrier related. They screwed up the features assigned to my phone when my wife upgraded her phone...
Hope you figure out your texting issue.
Hi all,
i have a xda trion all set up with correct settings for sending and receiving Multimedia messages ,but for some reason my internet explorer opens to try and get the message , instead of arcsoft and pocket outlook. As my o2 is a payg sim PIE cant connect ,page cannot be displayed message appears. Yet i can send MMS messages with no problems.
I know i can change the settings to allow PIE internet access and get the message but i want it to show in my MMS inbox. I have tried reflashing the latest o2 rom more than once ,to rectify this but it still doesnt work, can anybody tell me why it is doing this, or better still tell me how to fix it. It was working fine till i hard reset
Any help is appreciated
nobody can help. Oh well no more sexy pics of my girlfriend for me
What's happening guys? I've searched through forum after forum trying to figure out why my Boost EVO won't send picture messages and have yet to find a solution to my problem. I did the ##3282# thing, went to Advanced & changed the MMS Server URL to http ://mm.myboostmobile.com (I put the space between the http & the ://mm.myboostmobile.com because I'm a new poster so this site wouldn't allow me to post it due to possible spamming) & still haven't had any luck at all. I can receive picture messages with no problem, but when I go to send them, it appears as if they've been sent out, but the phone that they're sent to never receives them. I've tested this out myself by sending a few picture messages from my Boost EVO to my Cricket EVO, which has no problem sending or receiving mms, and it never receives the picture messages from the Boost EVO. Anybody have any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanx
i have same exact problem
Yea im frustrated it seems nobody knows how to fix this im running ultimate droid 3.3 and everything works flawless except i can not send mms can recieve sms and send but no matter what ive tried as far as apps deleting file and other fixes somebody with more experince please help htc evo on boost mobile oh and the data fix ##data#does nothing wont even ask for msl which i have i hit send and everything nothing /
I tried for 2 weeks to get mms on my new Evo (flashed to Boost). I finally found a solution! I had to post because 1) xda-developers is awesome and 2) I'm so grateful to the original author of the solution (sorry I don't have the name or link for credit) I wanted to pass it along.
Sounds like you guys are running CM ROMs...##3282# doesn't work with CM, but don't worry, you don't need it! OK, ready for the crazy simple fix?? Here goes:
Download and install GoSmsPro from Market
Open the app and go to Menu>Settings>MMS Settings>APN Configuration
Check the Fill APN Configuration Manually box
MMSC = mm.myboostmobile (you know the rest)
Leave MMS Proxy blank
MMS Port = 80
Reboot your phone
That's it! You should now be able to send mms. Still trying to find a fix to receive mms directly instead of having to use web browser. If anyone has a solution please post!

There are just 5 posts in this thread and the first post spells out the mm.myboostmobile.com. I can't verify whether setting this in GO SMS Pro is sufficient or not. I did go and get GO SMS but I also did the ##DATA# >Edit>Advanced thing and changed the MMS from the sprint one.
I am getting MMS messages working in BOTH directions. IMPORTANT: At first I was having failures in sending. That was because I forgot to use the whole 10 digit number to send to. They appeared to be sent but they didn't go anywhere. Then I tried sending one to my own number which happened to be complete with area code. A couple seconds later I received it back. Shortly after that I got a message from Boost Mobile telling me that my Media Mail account was activated. So, it may be that simple. Half-working is not good enough.

I dont think boost will be willing to help if I tell them that I have an evo on their network... it sucks on the stock rom that my evo was flashed, mms works fine, and my data wont drop... but if i go with cm7 my mms will not send although it says it was sent and I can receive mms... ohhh and my data goes out every 10 min, so I have to turn 3g on and off to get it working again... but I dont want a sense rom, I love cm7...

OK so its a CM based problem. Make sure you don't turn background data off or mms will not send on CM based roms. The fact that your data keeps swiping is my mms won't send.
I am trying to solve this problem too. I have changed the address in the advanced ##DATA# menu but that doesn't do anything.
I have the 1/11/2012 Energy ROM installed, fresh install actually. Any suggestions?
EDIT: This seems to be related to the ROM, I nandroided back to my original rom and outgoing MMS works.
Not sure where that leaves me now though
if u would like to know the easiest way to do this message me and I will give the instructions. it doesnt require any other apps just your meid.

I think you solved this without knowing.
I just flashed my EVO 4G LTE to boost and everything was good short of being unable to send MMS over 3g (wifi was fine)
You posted to leave the MMS Proxy blank.
So I went into EPST and made sure that mms destination address as correct and then wnet nad set the mms proxy to blank and now I can send mms over 3G.
NOt sure if this is the right place to post this but I am going super crazy trying to get incoming mms to work, I got an htc EVO on the boost network and everything works perfect except for incoming mms this started when i updated to a GB rom "OMJ" I was on 2.2 before this with out any issue.
I can send mms and text, data and phone working perfect just cannot recieve mms, I have tried reflashing every with tons of different 2.2 and 2.3 roms that I can find with out any luck of recieving mms!!
I have access to hash codes ##3282# mms server, sending is not a problem it is only recieving...
If someone can help me out would be greatley appreciated or lead me in the right direction would also be grea thanks again for reading....
Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I can send mms but no receive..... happens on froyo as well this happend after I flashed gb rooted.....
Sounds like an APN (Access Point Name) problem. Your EVO may be using your Internet APN to send MMS (my Incredible S does), but requires a second APN to receive them.
I had this problem trying to run one APN to cover both things. Setting up two APNs, one for Internet and one for MMS specifically, cleared it up fine. You should be able to find APN settings for your carrier using Google, or just searching the EVO forum.
Let me know how you get on!
Good luck!
