Hey everyone,
When I enable the "Fixed Dialing", I can 't connect to the GPRS/3G network anymore. Turning off this fixed dialing solves the problem, but it's not what I want.
The device must be restricted to 10 fixed phone numbers, but must have the ability to connect to the internet.
Anyone has some ideas to solve this?
Thanx!
Oh, yeah, and I tried it on an TyTN II, a Qtek 9000 and an Intermec CN3 (ruggedized PDA, WM2005). Tried it with WM 2005 and WM 2006, all the same problem. My service provider says all settings and posibilities on my subscription are open and ok... Pulling my (few) hairs out...!!!
Ok, fixed the problem: had to add *#09# in the fixed dialing numbers...

i have an spv e650 with s710 firmware (wm6.0) and it auto answers any call i receive. i've searched through the entire menu tree but didn't find anything to disable this function. i'm not using headphones or anything else.
Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Auto Answer -> select "Never".
Have you tryed this?
that setting is for handsfree operation.
anghelush said he's not using headphones.
i updated to the wm6.1 dr. gonzo's rom v1.1 and solved the autoanswer problem... ... but.. now... i cant connect to gprs. i receive an error "the remote party has ended this connection" and the gprs connection is well created (i'm sure of this)
... not perfect but the second problem is less annoyng than the autoanswer one..
Have you tryed the connection setup wizard? I had the same problem when I inputed manually the informations from my mobile operator, but since I'm using the connection setup wizard, everything is great.
the connection setup wizard only has Orange as a mobile network operator and i'm using Cosmote. it doesn't help me too much. i'll try setting up the orange connections and then edit them.
it's the same...
Hey there...
I'm new here so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place....I hope to become an active member of this community in the future hopefully.
Anyways I have a HTC P4350 (Herald) and tried to configure the VOIP Program Vbuzzer on it. I installed WM6VoIP.cab and SipConfigTool_2_0_1.CAB
and configured the SipConfig tool with the server as vbuzzer.com and port as 80. Then I configured "Sip Over 3g/GSM" & "Enable via Reg."
The problem is that now I'm getting the notification that Internet calling is available ("Internet Calling Available" is displayed on the home screen) but when I open the dialer, it still shows my GSM operator instead of VBuzzer....Is my GSM operator blocking Vbuzzer? Is there a way to go around this problem? I would really appreciate your assistance...
similar problem here
same problem, I did get my hands on a vbuzzer for windows mobile but I'm yet to get an account with them. Does anyone else use vbuzzer here on their phones. wing, herald, p4350 ?
I have a bothersome issue, the sim card "refreshes" at irregular intervals when the phone is in standby, making me have to choose a new operator each time using a "operator config" program also accessible under settings. My operator (Network of Norway) isn't even listed, and If I select one of the others all my GPRS and MMS settings are replaced.
Any way to stop the phone form doing this? (Samsung i780, cooked wm 6.1). I had a similar problem with my TYTN, but then I didn't have to change the operator, It just gave me some cryptic setting that I could abort when I started the phone..
Cheers,
Johan
Hi,
I tried to use Skype on my VDA V (Vodafone branding / SDA appl. unlock). Installing is no problem, but if I try to call (Echo and Sound test) then Skype tell "connecting", then ringing (rings one time) and then Skype switch of.
Under Menu Settings / Telephone / Internettelefonie (german/ means Voip) I have switch on "ever if available".
Is it a special Vodaphone problem, that Vodaphone ROM is not allowing Voip (I think Vodaphone would like that user call about Vodaphone net) ???
Can you help me ?
Regards Odiad
GPRS settings maybe?

I'm using the same config as you do, but in the Netherlands Vodafone.
Did you run the Vodafone setup (downloadable .exe) for provider configuration? (or do it manually thru the information on the Vodafone website).
When connected thru WIFI I have no problems. Using GPRS I sometimes first need to "create" the connection manually (by opening a page in IE or other internet needing program)
Make sure you downloaded the latest skype mobile for the S710. The "general" version doesn't work for me, probably 'cause of the firmware.
Hopefully these were the things you were looking for.
HI Syserror,
I ve just downloaded newest version of skype (2.5 Beta). But when I try to use skype I see same behavior. I see my Skype contacts (that means I am connected with skype and with my account) and I tried calling echo/sound test service and there was stiil the same probelm (connecting, one times ringing, and then Skype switches off.
So version of skype is not the reason why it doesn't work. I am connected with wifi (my home WLAN router, I can go into internet without problems, or get my Emails - so WLAN is okay). Any other ideas??
regards Odiad

HTC 710/ VDA V (Vodafon) with branding, bujt with sda appl. unlock
Hi,
it's me again. I googled a little bit and found a link to skype 2.2.0.18 which should run on VDA V. I tried and yes it runs. Or I hope so - I tried only echo/sound test service because I have no money on my skye account. But echo and sound test runs well, I think it is okay now.

Hi,
I'm Using the HTC Touch Pro on the Dutch "Telfort" network, but because this is actually the KPN network the Touch pro, is always using roaming options.
When using activesync to connect to exchange server for direct push (3G), the phone will not stay connected. Selecting "Use above settings when roaming" On the activesync schedule page doesn't seem to work.
I tried some registry options, to never ask roaming questions but I think those are for regular mail accounts.
is there a way to:
*) Trick the phone into thinking it isn't roaming
or
*) have the phone not disconnect or use EXACT settings when roaming.
When I switch simcard with a dutch T-mobile or Vodafone, Activesync will work just fine.
If your sim-card is an old Telfort card, requesting a new sim-card may solve your problem.
I could try
I could try and see if that will solve my problem.
But I really doubt it. I just signed for this contract 2 months ago. (only active for a couple of days now)
If there are any dutch Telfort users here with a raphael (touch pro) and can confirm that their phone isn't thinking it's roaming I would like to hear that. maybe there is still some hope left
