Hello ! I've bought my Polaris one week ago. I was very pleased with it, until today, i took some photos last night, and when i tried to view them from my pc, they were all corrupted, i haven't succeeded to open the pictures with anything. I searched the forums, and some posts (on other sites) came out. Somehow, after rebooting the device and taking more pictures with the camera, i managed to obtain pictures that were readable on the PC.
Can anyone help me figure this out ?
Another question..i've bought this phone from Vodafone Romania , i understand that if i upgrade the phone's ROM or Radio Rom, my warranty will be lost. Is there a way to back-up the phone's Rom so i can benefit of the warranty in case of malfunction?
I would gladly want to upgrade to a newer ROM and Radio Rom.
I have present now the following versions :
R = 1.58.21.23
G = 25.65.30.04 h
D = 1.25.00.00

Well, I've got the exact same photo problem during the first 2 weeks of my time with my TC.
I had to reset the device before I could take proper pics.
I was monitoring this problem, trying to find out what was causing the problem. Before I knew it, the problem disappeared. Having the device for abt 4 months now..
I know I aint helping much, but just letting U that youre not alone.

Same issue here. Thought it was due to all the additional software & tweakage i have loaded. I had to hard reset to get the camera pics to work. Did this to me 3 times when I had Ultimate Launcher loaded & few "enhancement"tweaks. Very strange. Back up your phone OFTEN.
Are u using Tweaks2k2?
I got the same problem when I enabled "Increase SD/MMC Transfer Speed".
If disabled, everything is OK.

Ha-ha, really happy that it works on your Polaris.
Actually, some photos took on my wedding party were corrupted. It is really depressing.
So I just tried all the possible settings on Polaris.
Luckily, I found it…
same problem here. Lost some value photos on the TC.
If you can't view them on th device (blank screen) they are corrupted.
Looks as a temp problem for the device, as when you approve the photo just taken (ie, by selecting the magnifying glass icon), it's there for good, if not - it shows as if the picture is there (thumbs) but not really.
Sounds (to me) like the device is not handling the temporary picture taken right, and instead of burning it in (=approved), it is left in a temp location (to be erased by following pics).
As I had the problem with email (messaging disappeared), where I discovered in this forum it had to do with inbox/attachments folder path failure in the SD card, I may suspect the photo problem is the same, as most of us use the SD for such storage.

Sorry to bother anyone. But can anyone please post the fix (Whether registry or .cab or even written) for the bug that prevents e-mail account modication/Creation of new account once you have used the camera. I'm using Lt. Ivans Last Release (It's amazing, only thing left for me is this bug.) Thought it was fixed but i have experienced it twice on this rom.
I really love this rom and would very much appriciate any help in regards to this matter.

Took me 10 seconds to find, using the 'SEARCH' feature of the forum. Handy tool that, people should use it. In case this isnt what you are looking for, maybe you should give it a try?

Did do a couple of searches but just brought up rom updates that included the fix as part of the rom. Maybe i could get some lessons in using it effectively using principled key words.
Very much appreciated that there are people out there who still care and enjoy to put us down at every turn.
Hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me and show some compassion.

Not Completely worked, I installed then reset and then took a pic and recorded a short video and now i cant edit email setting and create a new e-mail account. Not even re-installing the .cab and resetting helps..

I apologize in advance if this is something that is well known to all the people who can use the search engine on the forum, but I haven't seen anything like that in the postings i have read so far.
Some time today, I have got this problem that I am eager to solve. I just got my Fuze on Tuesday, so over the last couple of days I have installed a large numbers of .cab files. Apparently, after one of this installations something have changed, and on my Today page there is a white shade of the man's head (if you go to Contacts tab, for the contacts, for which you have no picture, you will see a smaller version of it)
So, my question is whether there is a way to remove it from my Today page

Looks like a regular wallpaper to me. Try to change it in TouchFlo: Settings->Wallpaper and choose something different... or restore it to default.

Thanks, guys. Indeed the problem was solved by setting the wallpaper to default. Once again thanks a lot for your help - it is my first WM phone, so I am still learning

So from my experience the GPS is sucking on this device. I have tried all the fixes I could find in this forum and all over the internet! What I am going to try to do is to find out if there is a software fix for this problem.
At the minute I have a knowledge problem I would like some devs to see this post and if they know the answer to any questions I would LOVE help
My first problem has been the "standard" settings for the GPS.conf file. I have changed mine so much and basically a number of questions have hit me.
1) What are they when the phone comes fresh from the factory? - this is because even the "stock" roms seem to have modified files in the system folder.
2) Some of the mods change the agps server to supl.google.com. I noticed that when the phone is newly flashed the angry GPS server is set to www.spirent-...... (I can't remember the exact server). The newly flashed server comes with an ATT certificate, is there one for supl.google.com?
3) What the hell is "agpsd" file located in the system folder. I can't find anything about this on the web.

Just to add ANY information people have for this effort will be gratefully recieved ... any observations of noobies like me regarding file permissions, files that they notice all that good jazz ... all that stuff. It is easier to fix something when more people help because often one person may make a random observation and another will think ... well that can be fixed, thanks again

Thanks man, but there are a lot of people having this issue. When I started having this issue I did a few searches and I was really surprised about the volume of people having issues!
I'll just add to this by saying I was locking in a short time until I flashed some of the new ports last week. Then I returned to stock and the problem persisted, I have done hard reset etc and it still hasn't fixed anything. I was going to open her up but I chickened out lol...

I bought my Samsung Galaxy S 4g when they first came out. I rooted because I heard I could delete the "bloat" and regain disk space. I had no trouble rooting, but my phone has never worked right and I'm ALWAYS getting out of disk space messages, even though I've moved every possible app to the SD card. At some point I lost the ability to send or receive picture text messages so I went hunting online. I don't remember the steps I took or how I took them, but somehow I changed the model of my phone to say HTC Vision. It was on recommendation from someone somewhere, but it was over a year ago and I can't find the thread I originally read.
Fast forward to now. I got the out of disk space error AGAIN, so I used Titanium Backup to delete some stuff. Yes, I'm a dumbass and I must have deleted something that looked unimportant, but WAS. Now both email and text messaging crashes. I can receive a text, but messaging crashes before I can reply. I can make and receive calls.
I've been looking for a day and a half to try to find a stock rom with instructions to "flash" back to factory settings. (I put these terms in quotes because, while I've seen them everywhere, I really don't know what they mean). I've downloaded the updated Kies program, but it won't recognize my phone. Possibly because it thinks it's an HTC Vision? I've also installed Odin in preparation for reinstalling the stock rom. I keep hitting a wall whenever I find a link to what I think is a stock rom - I get a stupid ilivid link and nothing else. I've avoided installing ilivid, but I went ahead and installed it to try to get the rom. I don't know what else to do.
I'm sorry this is so long. My level of proficiency is just enough to get myself into a lot of trouble with no knowledge to get myself out. Can anyone help in a "for dummies" answer? Thanks in advance.
one click back to stock should do the trick. I believe you do it twice for bootloader.

and download the one click. All you have to do is open it up and click flash and everything is done for you. When its done, your phone will be just as it was when you opened the box it came in. As a word of advice though, don't use titanium backup to move apps to the SD card. It does more harm than is justified for saving a few MB's, because system apps aren't meant to be used from the SD card. If you don't use them, just delete them.

You all are amazing. I now successfully have Gingerbread stock (when I used to have Froyo) and everything seems to be working just like it should. I think I'll leave my phone alone now. I tried to swim in the deep end, but I belong in the kiddie pool! This is all above my head. Thank you again! MWAH!!!

Hi there! I'm having some doubts about the phone, switching between apps forces app refresh, even if I switch only for a couple of seconds. If I was filling up a form and had to check something in another app (let's say a bank app), everything I completed resets itself. If I was using a browser, leave it for a couple of seconds, come back, it refreshes the website (spending data and time). Any way to make it better? A really fast phone but this is bothering me.

Hi, yes I thought about it but I also created a thread at the phone forum and no one replied, it's a Leeco Le Max 2, don't think many people have it, perhaps someone could put me in the right direction as to what I'm looking for.
