Hi all, apologies if this is a repeat post but I cant find this anywhere; is there any way of disabling windows mobile 6 devices from auto-displaying any received text? It's starting to bug me... Any ideas anyone, perhaps a registry hack?
Answers on a postcode, many thanks!
Ignore this.
Problem solved, I just didn't spot the option to turn this off under start/settings/sounds/notifications.
d'oh.

I'm facing a strange problem. I cannot connect to internet through IE. I mean the GPRS connection is not detected by IE. But I can surf through Opera, I can check mails, send mails. But IE is not detecting GPRS connection
Anyone knows this problem and a possible solution for it?

Are you getting a error message like "Cannot load webpage" or something similar? If so, do a reg search for enableautodetect. There may be two in your registry - one in your HKCU>Software>HTC>ConnectionSetup, and one somewhere else . Delete the one that is somewhere else and see if that helps.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific about where the other enableautodetect is - I deleted mine.

Hey brother. Thanks for answering. I searched for the "EnableAutoDetect" and it came up with this location (I guess the ConnectionSetup didnt come up coz I dont have Connection setup installed ) Made the Dword "1" and tried connecting, although had a bad signal but will try again and reconfirm
Thanks once again brother
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"EnableAutoDetect"=dword:00000001
Hey brother. Thanks for the heads up It worked. Enabling the reg entry did the trick
@Tweakman. You may go ahead and delete this thread if you wish since the problem is now resolved
Please do not delete this post as others may have the same problem.
Why does my phone (details in sig) connect to the Internet after all my phone calls? I see the EDGE symbol notify me its connecting every time i hang up. Did i acquire some type of virus or spyware?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I attached the fix I got from HTC. Hope this helps.
I found a Link that might help this. I'm still looking through the Internet but just in case anyone else is having this problem i just wanted to let you know. Btw good google search term is "fuze edge after call" or "fuze edge hang up"

I email HTC. I'll tell you guys what they say in case anyone else is struggling with this. From my interpretation this is only happening to some people after doing the ROM update ( http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=198&cat=2&dl_id=553 ) and is a problem with the dialer and not the ROM. So if anyone know how to fix please post it. I'll keep you updated with what I come up with.
Still no reply from HTC
Well i was the only one this thread but....
I eventually did get a reply and they emailed me the hotfix for this. I'll post it on XDA if someone asks. (im not sure how so i wont waste my time if no one wants it)
Would you please post the hotfix for the automatic data connection after a phone call?
Thanks.
Finally someone else who needs this.

Hello to all!
I am new here and my english is not the best. (I´m from Austria)
I have tryed do find answers for my problems, but i cant find the solution.
I will tell you my problems and hope sombody can and will help me - thanks!
Since 2 weeks I´m an Samsung SGH I 900 - owner.
One of the first application was S2U2.
It works realy fine and with the faq´s in this forum very easy to handle but when i change the registry-settings, it don´t work as it should.
I wrote in Data-field from 0File \Windows\CallLog.exe and when I had a missed call and I slide to view, nothing happens...
I can´t finde the right 0Parameter-Entry...
When I set this in the S2U2Settings - Others - Run other app when unlock it works fine, but when nobody is missed, i wnt to go to TodayScreen...
This problem is done!
I installed the previous version of s2u2 and now the missed calls will be shown!!
How is it possible to show the missed calls on the locked screen like in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341926)
I can not find the right settings... only sms is shown!
Please help me to get a solution for my problems.
If you don´t want to get me the right settings directly it´s no problem to look on the right place for the reason...
Thank you very much!

All my problems are gone...
If the Phone is locked and you had a missed call you must push on the "missed calls icon" and then slide to view and s2u2 change to CallLog.exe....
Is this possible without pushing to the icon before??
Thank you for answer!
I´ll hope this can help someone with the same problems...
Maybe this a bug in s2u2 newest version to show the missed calls on locked-display???!!!
King regards

Sorry for the "1 Post Wonder" thread, but I have an issue with my HTC Trophy 7 running Mango.
I updated using the "plug pull" method, and pretty much everything works as I expected, except I don't have turn by turn voice navigation.
I still get the old turn by turn interface, but the voice navigation option is missing from the settings panel.
Has anyone else encountered this and is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks in advance..
P.s. I searched the forums for this issue, but didn't see any other helpful threads, so if I missed it, sorry >.>
EDIT:: Just read the pinned thread at the top about device specific queries.. If a mod could move this thread to the Q&A section, that would be much appreciated.
What version of Mango are you running? Make sure you updated to version 7720.68. You might have to perform the disconnect trick again.

Thanks for the reply albertleao,
I am running 7.10.7720.68 - So that would appear to be in order >.<
I have been using text to speed for messages and such, so all of those features are working
Having read around some more, I also tried changing my country in Hotmail to UK, tried changing all my phone settings to English (UK) etc, still no joy :\
Is there anything else I can try, or does my phone just not have it?
I guess the next question is, are there any official help contacts I can use.. I.e. HTC?
Bump!
Anyone got any information on this issue >.<
Hi
flash a unlocked rom an install the patched Navigon
you can find it in this forum.
There is also a way to use it with Australian maps.
And you will have a good offline Navi with all functions you need
I hoped this post helped
