Available Memory Pola100 and Pola200 (st: 119 pr: 100 MB) - Touch Cruise General

Hi
I was surprised to see the following figures on my Pola200
Storage Memory:
Total: 119.17 MB
In Use: 30.39 MB
Free: 88.78
Program Memory:
Total: 100.77 MB
In Use: 41.17 MB
Free: 59.60 MB
These figures seem *very* low for a 256/128MB device
are they similar for the POLA100? or is this the cruddy O2 ROM I have that I am about to ditch?
Yours
Leon

These values seems to be ok. I have the same values on startup with the old orginal firmware.
I use Bebe´s Rom and have much more memory.

I am sure this question has been asked somewhere in this forum, trust me I have searched alot before posting this question here, the only reason that I am asking this question because there are so many threads and so many pages to it. I am confused like anything.
i installed wm2005 after a long long time.
installed Rom Version : 2.01a00
when i click on memory it shows 120 and storage shows 14 something mb's
my device is XDA II, which as far as i know has 128 + 32 for rom + 32 for storage (please correct me if am wrong)
is there a way to increase 14mb storage ?
when i install Ramdisk i get 64mb more, where does that come from ?
when i install extended rom unlocker i get another chunk of mb, dont remember the size. where does all this come from ? the 128 mb i mentioned above, or is this hidden and the mentioned tools make it available ? and how can 14mb storage be increased for program installations.
a quick response would really be appreciated.
jeetz..
ramdisk is ram and is taken from the 128MB application ram

thanks rudegar for an early reply.
install them on the ramdisk

WM 5 Rom, storage question

Hi people!
I pops this question here, use i know someone will know!
i want to change the storage allocation on my WM5 device. My device "storage" is full, but i still have storage left at "program".
Is there anyway that one can tweak etc that so i can have equal store=program??
My current allocation looks like this:
Storage: 14.5 MB, free 2.16 MB
Program: 61.0MB free 37.00MB
Wich makes it difficult to install programs on my device!!
Thanks in advance guys!!
Cheers!

you can browse on the subject called persistent storage or ramdisk.
May I just suggest that after you successfully managed your ramdisk which means that a ramdisk folder appears and your storage total becomes 30+ (by the way, I think ramdisk and storage are the same) please do not install an upgrade for higher ramdisk as it becomes a problem of mine and the other user.
But if you insist to upgrade more and encountered a problem, please read below:
I don't know what happened to your storage card but I think I know for the ramdisk.
Well, I suggest that you hard reset your xdaII and do not install ramdisk software to increase ramdisk size. Based on my experience, after I installed the ramdisk 64, the size increased to 90+ but everytime I soft reset, the data I saved in it gets lost.
After hard resetting, the ramdisk came back to normal 30+, I found the lost previous data intact though.

No ExtRom = "wasted" space? - figured out, stupid question :-)

I have the following question:
On my Uni (G4) i have now under settings- memory the following reading:
Storage: Total: 39,59 MB; Free: 24,86 MB - Program: Total: 49,95 MB, Free: 29,37 MB. I am using Thingonaspring's v3.2 ROM, from wich i have kicked out a few things, unnecessary for me (PowerPoint, arcsoftMMS, Windows Live, Real VGA, Remote Desktop, HTC Home, GoogleMaps). Now my question is, that if i don't use any ExtRom, it is a wasted space? If yes, i can flash only an ExtRom to the device, without harming the rest, or i have to flash the ER toigether with the normal ROM? I know that i can do this separate flashing with the radio and OS ROM, but how about the ExtRom?
BTW, the nk.nbf I flashed to my device had 40 MB.

Oficial Rom with 3.05.401.3 HTC Europe (If you installed please read)

Hello everyone. Recently i've updated my HTC magic 32A to version 3.05.401.3 HTC Europe with ENG Hboot, and i noticed we had a dramaticly change of internal memory . As you may know before we had 288MB and now we have 165MB. I would like to ask everyone, if happened exacly like this, or diferently.
If happened diferently i would kindly request to ask you what you done in order to keep 288MB of free memory.
If you have diferent free internal memory size please do state. Please state wich tutorial you've followed.
I'm doing this study in order we XDA community be aware of how to counter this memory drop, in order to help ourselfs on installing more apps hehe.
Thank you everyone!
I've followed this tutorial:

Dude, don't frighten people. What exactly memory did you tell?
RAM (It's constant. 32A Magic has 288 Mb RAM, 32B - 192 Mb)
Size of /data (Various according official ROMs)?
btw. ROM is constant too. It contains /data, /system, /cache, etc....
In old ROMs you have /data - 288 Mb, so /system was about 96 Mb
New ROMs contain /system about 172 Mb and /data about 165 Mb, because SenseUI (framework, libraries, system apps) need more space than vanila Android
The SPL changes the size of both /system and /data.
On the old SPL (1.33.xxxx) it's something around 90MB for /system, and 256MB for /data
On the new SPL (1.76.xxxx) it's 160MB for /system and 159MB for /data
This is the same partitioning as in the Hero, and it's done so that SenseUI can fit in the /system partition.
ahhh ok. I had a theory had something to do with the hboot Thank you very much for the replyes. Is there any way of getting this with more space? perhaps APP2SD?
But the strange part is if i had 288 MB and system 96MB there is a total of 384 MB.
Then if the system should have around: /system about 172 Mb for data should be 208 MB around that level. But problably they gave up more space Still i'll be stying in order to fully understand hehe
hello. i'm restarting this post for another thing, anyone having any connectivity issues? As the network freezing and to start again you must restart the phone? Thank you

[Q] problems ram acura v3 full final

I write here because I do not respond in the post of the rom, I have some problems with this rom ram, because I like free ram always remains below 50 mb, I created a swap partition of 140 MB, this will help the device to be more responsive ?
