Please ask this in the appropro ROM thread. Thank You.
Check your Button Assignments Maybe they got changed.

i didnt think it was a rom related issue thats why i asked. i just flashed my rom with no thrills rom thinking that would fix it, but still the same issue!

Hmmm Well then. Did you Hard Reset After either Flash?
Otherwise you may have a warranty issue.

hard reset is when i hold the 2 soft keys and then press the reset button with the stylus?

Once the flash has completed and you get to screen that says “Tap the screen to begin to set up your windows-mobile device” perform a hard reset. To do this press & hold your left and right soft keys. Those are the keys that are just above the Internet and Message button and then push your stylus into the reset button while holding both the soft keys. Hold this for about 3-5 seconds. A screen will appear that says “This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press send to restore manufacturer default or press other keys to cancel” If you want to continue hit the green call button.
Once the restore is complete press the green call button again and this will reboot your phone. If you want to cancel out of this press any other button. This reason behind doing this is quite significant. If you do this you will have far less problems then if you do not do it. Trust me on this. This is a proven solution to a lot of problems that many users will face.

That's awesome that never works for me. Grats Bro!

I had hardware issues with my wizard before. buttons crapped out on me. I had to press the buttons in an angle so the sensors can detect me pressing the buttons. It's possible the buttons are out of place. My warranty was over so I had to pay for repair charges. didn't want to deal with that. Now I have a Tilt.

How can I reset my touch pro ??
THANKS!!!!!!!
The above is a HARD reset, which equates to restoring the device to defaults, so you will lose any software you installed and settings.
What are you trying to do? There's a HARD reset, which you have the procedure for or just a SOFT reset, which will just reboot the device...
I would like to set the device to defaults, but i can't reset it.
I don't know what's wrong of it?

and the device ask u if u want to hard reset, it will delete all bla bla bla then press the VOLUME UP button..

While holding those two, push and HOLD the power button until you see the message that says to push the up volume to hard reset.

No, same was with mine Touch Pro (O2 XDA Diamond Pro). No Hard reset possible via button-method (or I was just not clever enough )
Only possibility is to do it like pensador wrote:

Do it like this Vincent, same result^^
the hard reset comination is keyed into every tp and will work as specified unless there is a hardware problem with any of the keys involved.
Just make sure u r not fat thumbing any of the keys.. if necessary use chopsticks to hold down the keys.
Aaaaaaaaaaaahhh now I got it!
The important thing is "[enter] buttons"! Damn manual...
Thx!

I had a lot of trouble when trying to hard reset the touch pro. I have a fuze as well and never an issue. When I followed these instructions exactly the touch pro preformed a hard reset. Thanks for the help! I looked everywhere on ppcgeeks.

One last thing to try,
Press soft reset, then immediately after hold Volume down and OK (round button), this method is fool proof.
Silly question, I am sure but... Will a hard reset take me back to the original WM6.1 OS? I installed one ROM I found here, but wants to go back to "normal" 6.1 (don't ask why )
This might be useless but my phone goes through phrases where the power button does not work at all and when it's not working I cannot hard reset at all. This phone is just weird.

Nope, u have to flash the phone back to the original rom.

fuze frozen...please help!

I'm using NATF's 4.0 rom. I was having sme random issues after flashing it, so I did a hard reset. I had some CAB's on my memory card that I set to install using UC. after everything was installed, the phone turns on, the splash screen comes up, but then I just get a white screen...nothing comes up. I deicded to hard reset it again w/out the memory card, but then it stays frozen at the green, red, and blue screen
try reflashing:
keep volume down pressed, reset with stylus and you should enter tricolor bootloader. Then you can flash via USB, or using your memory stick.
?
Try a hard reset....or like the other post says ....try to put device in bootloader mode
Peace
Mike
Hold the bottom volume buttom and enter key (Round button below htc logo) and soft reset while holding both buttons. A white screen will come up then press volume up buttom. This will format and reload rom.

or if you need basic functions such a copy and paste and mms.... Try to get it in to boot loader and reflashing. Also make sure that you do a hard reset after reflashing the rom (when it gets to the screen calibrating screen) as it gets rid of all traces of the last ROM that you had on that could have caused problems.

OMFG I bricked my Touch Pro, need help ASAP please!!

Okay so i updated to Energy's build 21885 for the HTC Touch Pro and everything works fine like usual, and i began to start installing my apps etc.
It all went fine until i started installing some new apps (which might be the reason why it bricked my phone), i think one of the new app i installed was nueUSBKeyboard which is for the CDMA (i didn't read it properly at the start), and my Touch Pro is a GSM, so maybe that's the reason that bricked my fone.
I still don't know what bricked it, but right now when i turn on the fone, it shows the boot information at the very start of the startup, i.e it shows:
R 1. 14. 25. 35 (which is the radio i believe)
G 52. 64c. 25 35
D 5nergy ROM
and it just gets stuck there FOREVER.
I took out my battery and memory card and nothing changes, how do i solve this?? Please help.
Okay after doing some Google & XDA searches, i found a solution which i'm trying out right now. Since my phone could get to the screen with the boot information, and that i can get into the bootloader fine, it seems i can still connect my phone and update the rom.
To get to the bootloader, you press and hold the volume down button, and then you turn on the phone while pressing it. You should get a screen showing you some information and the screen looks red, blue & green.
Then, just plugin your USB and even though it doesn't say it's syncing with your PC (because you need to in order to update the ROM), but just go ahead and update the ROM anyway, it will connect and work.
Right now it's installing and I pray to god this will fix my problem, i will post back and update this, but hopefully anyone who had this problem can give me some other advice in case this doesn't work and hopefully anyone that might have this problem can try this out for themselves. This is the first time i've had a bricked phone.
Just wondering, what are the possible ways that you can brick your phone?? I didn't update the radio or anything, and updating roms is easy and plain as hell, i do that all the time so it can't be it since nothing went wrong, like EVER, and i restarted my fone several times after updating the rom, so it must be one of the new apps i installed for my fone but those are just .cab files that are safe because i got them from XDA itself, and those are very recent released apps too and are for WM 6.5 so i dunno what might have caused it other than nueUSBKeyboard......
EDIT:
Holy crap, it worked! Damn i almost pissed in my pants, god i can't live without a fone. But i would like anyone to give me some advice on what could've bricked my fone in case this happens again, coz i really dunno wot bricked it....
A hard reset would've done the trick.

Did you guys read properly? I said my fone got bricked because it gets stuck at the booting screen.
That's the screen that shows a black background and the word "Touch Pro" in the middle, and it shows your radio & rom information at the bottom right and they're in red colour.
I.E, I'm STUCK at that screen, i can't boot into the rom at all, so how can i even use hard reset? I can't even connect my fone to PC to access the memory card, nor can i use ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre to sync with my device so that i can upgrade the rom, which is why i found the solution is to boot into your bootloader screen and then connect the USB, that's the only way it seems.
Edit:
Here, i took a picture showing you guys what i mean, sorry for the quality but you guys get the point, it gets stuck at that screen:

Is it fixed or not? Anyway, performing a hard reset and going into bootloader are pretty much the same thing (hold vol down + OK and soft reset). You can probably hard reset from the bootloader screen, although I've never done it myself.
do a hard reset may resolve this problem by pressing and hold volume down + center button then using stylus to press reset button, when hard reset screen is shown, press vol up button to accept hard reset, do again when done
ya guys, it's solved. I stated that in my 2nd post.....
anyway i didn't know u can hard reset from bootloader screen, now i can try that next time when this happens.
Hard Reset FTW
Hi all,
Just wanted to share that today, after a year of pleasant use on my Fuze, it 'bricked' after I disabled the performance upgrade options in TF3Dconfig and rebooted.
A quick search for "brick" in the Raphael forum led me to do a hard reset. All my texts and customizations are wiped out, but my phone is back up and running. Definitely glad I didn't just accept it as bricked, as I'm not due for an upgrade for 6ish months, and AT&T hasn't got anything for Android phones released yet, so I'd be back on my Wizard (with an english rom flashed onto a T-Mobile Germany-branded device, so funky keyboard action here).
+1 for the hard reset!

Screen shot problem? After tmo update

Anyone with a tmo sensation having a screen shot problem?! Like everytime I hit the home it would take a screen shot, I thought if you press home and power, then it would take the shot?.. anyone else have a problem with that?
my brother was having that problem. if it happens, try hitting the back button & see if it stops after that. apparently the phone is thinking that home is still being held down or something like that.
Same thing is happening here...super annoying. Any ideas on a fix anybody?
I just used the screenshot feature (hold power down and then tap home) for the second time tonight without any problems. Yes, I do have the T-Mobile update too.

The problem is sometimes when we press the home button it takes a screen shot and doesn't go home unless we press back and then home again :/
Ah, I see. Reading comprehension fail. -_-"
i have that problem on revolution hd 3.0 rom, (based on the new update.)
usually just go to my lockscreen and come back to fix it, but its annoying. it happened about 5 times in the last week or so.
I was just about to post this issue. Good thing i found it.
This keeps happening to me all the time.
I keep having to delete 20 screenshot a day.

Haven't found one yet :S
Yeah, sometimes the phone takes a screenshot for no reason. It only happened to me 2-3 times though.
Glad that I'm not the only one with this problem. Good feature but So annoying to keep taking screenshots every time you press home..
My wife is having the same problem. She applied the OTA update and it will now randomly take screenshots when she presses Home. Not sure what the setting is to disable the feature, but if anyone knows where it is that would be of great assistance. She has no need for this.

A buddy at work asked me about this today to, wanted to subscribe and keep this thread going. Hopefully the culprit will be found and dealt a swift fair well
Temporary Fix
I found a way to temporarily fix the screenshot problem once it suddenly starts doing it. Note, this doesn't SOLVE the problem, it's simply a work around for each time it happens:
Press the Home button and Lock button at the same time and it somehow tricks the phone back to recognizing you're not pressing both when you are only pressing the Home button.
If it doesn't work after doing it once, try doing it again a couple times and it should make it stop taking Screenshots each time you only press the Home button.
Simply just pressing the back button a bunch of times didn't do the trick for me.
Hope this helped someone? It definitely saved me the stress of restarting my phone about once an hour...
^ I have done that to.. just annoying and makes my phone feel like s**t.. hope there's a fix soon..
Ok so I found a solution to it. You can do the power+home to take a screenshot, but don't lock your phone with the power button, seems to work ok!!

Having the same problem. So very annoying! Also related to the issue whereby the screen lights up again a few seconds after turning it off with the power button. Very annoying and never happened in 2.3.3.

You still lock your phone with the lock button, you just press Lock + Home button a couple times to get your phone to stop taking screenshots. Once you do that, you don't need to continually press them at the same time to lock your phone. It just stops your phone from taking the screenshots when you happen to only be pressing the Home button.
The only "fix" I've found is to delete the screenshot line from the build.prop and use drocap for screenshots. no biggie.

[Q] How to contact Samsung

I've wasted an hour at the Samsung website. When the chat turned out to be broken the send button didn't,t work, I tried email. After answering all the same questions, model etc, the drop down for model wouldn't work. It's a required field so again, i'm stuck. Does anyone know how to reach them?
i received a galaxy note 10.1 16 gig wi-fi only for Christmas. it was terrific until yesterday morning. I took it from my padded brief case, pressed the start button and nothing happpened. I assumed I'd left it on overnight and rrun the battery down. I just put it away until i went home to charge it. I left it on the charger for a couple of hours. When i again pressed the start buttton, still nothiing. What do i do next?
Try leaving it charging for 6+ hours. Make sure it's plugged in all the way on both ends of the usb cable.

I found 1-800-SAMSUNG somewhere. It's seven digits I thought so, what the heck. Well a very nice woman talked me through all the trouble shooting steps I'd already tried. But, then she gave me an RMA and emailed me a shipping label. So far so good then. More to follow.
Before you write it off as dead, may I make a suggestion. Keep a finger on the touch screen while pessing the power button. This solution works for me when I've experienced the "sleep of death" after upgrading my GN 8013 to JB. Holding down the power button on mine didn't do anything. I found the solution I mentioned when I began googling in a panic. After removing one offending app, this awful sleep mode that resembles a dead device hasn't occurred again. Maybe you have an app that's triggered this. Good luck.

It was Sipdroid. (Knock on wood) deleting it has stopped my note from going into the sleep of death. Fortunately, the voip app csipsimple is very stable on JB 4.1.2 and has no audio or registreation issues so I've still got voip on my note.
