I'm no kidding.. I've tried all ROMS available in this forum and finally got this one (nncuong's) that works blazingly fast plus an ~21MB flash disk! Try and see the difference!
Hmmm... nncuong's is good but I feel it's a little TOO clean. I still prefer Beasty's and Laurentius's

I agree That this is the most stable, has the max RAM and is as fast as anyones out there.
I totally dislike the Leo/Beast Rom because of the low RAM and needless apps.
Jwrights new 0.5 ROM is the only 0.5 ROM todate that hangs at reset.

What do you mean with 0.5 ROM is the only 0.5 ROM? Beast&Leo's latest ROM has an older built and is AKU 0.7. Isn't that right?
Of course there isn't a perfect ROM that suites everyone. We all have different need and tastes.
I'm also tried all Roms, and now I'm using JW's latest ROM. Much more satisfied.
It still have some little bugs (are being solved almost live) and doesn't have videocall but it works (VC Out) with maniware's .cab.

For me, the most stable roms were Jwright's roms and his last one, the 0.7 not 0.5, is the most stable. His previous version, 0.3 if I'm not mistaken, had lock up problems but are solved in his last release.
Leo/Beast roms are good but not as stable as Jwright's roms.
Cheers
i've tried other wm6 roms, leo and beast is also good but jwrights latest rom is the best for me right now. stable and fast for me.
nncuong's WM6 ROM all the way!!!!!!
i tried several WM6 roms i was even thinking about going back to WM5 since there is a rom where you can get up to 30 mb free of RAM but after i tried nncuong's WM6 ROM im more than happy plus it has flashlite already installed so i can try the byka touchflo-like cube (now working with the universal)
i would say try several ROMs until you find the one that suits your needs (i found the one i was looking for and that is nncuong's WM6 ROM)
thanks nncuong. great job, i know it will have bugs and whatnot but the speed i get with my universal its finally up to what i was expecting when i got the uni thinking it had 520mhz.

Hi z0d1ak,
I confirm that the links are working and they are posted on this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333998
If you Universal is G3, than I will definitely suggest to download the ROM for G3 devices only. It gives you an extra Flash Disk with 21.75MB storage.
The total storage after flashing the ROM is:
Main storage: 40.90MB
Flask Disk: 21.75 MB
Ext_ROM: 9.6 MB
KOR!
It's a beautiful ROM, but i have a problem with the bluetooth part of it ... if I try to connect to wireless headset, it connects, but after 1 min the device freezes, the same happens if I try to send to somebody a file, for ex. today I tried to send a small jpg file of 45,9k and the device freezed at different time (45%, 75% etc.) but I couldn't send the file.
Solution?
Thx!
I Agree

I Have tried many, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. Although nncuong's is superfast, Jwrights is super stable, and only losing a little speed for that. So atthe moment with functionality and speed Jwright wins IMHO.

JW's last WM6 ROM (2.12) is one of the worst performer ROM ever installed in my uni. Initial RAM available to use only 24MB.. I used to advocate JW's 2.0.2 but since I got my hand on nncuong's and flashed it.. Since then I'm still a happy user of his ROM... kudos to nncuong for his good work!

Hmm.. haven't tried WIFI with WPA TSK enabled but judging from a posting here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333998&page=8.. seems it still has a bug. I saw a WIFI fix available from one of the thread... perhaps you should try it out!..
Here's the thread:

You can download fix (WiFiService.cab) from following link:

Just wondering if anybody has managed to get one of the leaked Alpha/Beta versions of Opera Mobile 9.5 (or is that 9.33) working on a WM6 universal.
I have tried a number of different versions from other threads on this site and they all seem to install fine but the application does not load. After showing the Opera splash screen it then comes up with an error message saying "Could not initilize DirectDraw".
Any ideas? Is this just a bug with the pre-beta leaked version of should we be worried that the eventual release version will not run on our Universals?

i.m just using it on my universal (last ranju rom) and it works ,but in my opinion it,s a very beta version ,if you have the opera8,65 take it ,more stable .

In that case i am guessing it must be something to do with the ROM I am using:
Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.08 WWE
Oh well, hopefully the beta once it is released will work on this ROM. Otherwise I guess it is time to change ROMs
I tried it on Ranju's 7.1 and its very beta indeed. Could be a great browser but isnt yet.
how do i remove this beta?

Try to change your cache to the SD card It improves a lot.
I believe most of the crashes are a low memory issue, but some users with 128Mb RAM could feedback me on this.
Try netfront 3.5 test, it's beta or alfa, i dont know, but it's worth trying, i'm actually using it + opera 8.65 for internet bank accounts. Never seen before browser fast as this netfront

Well I tried the Alpha of Opera 9.5 with the latest ranju rom and indeed it does work (well sort of, I could not get it or Opera 8.65 to actually download files using that ROM) so it must be something missing in the ROM I have been mainly using (Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.08 WWE), I wonder what and whether it will be a problem when the official beta is released. If so then It looks like it is going to be time to change ROM.
Hi
i had pdacorner ultimate-x v4 without major problems.
then i wanted to install v7. After installing mobile shell the first time, s2u2 the second time and thumbcal the third time, the phone stuck and after soft-reset, it made a hard reset!!
the same with v8 and (!) ultimate-x2 v4 (wm 6.5)
i also updated hard spl to 3.34 and radio to 1.71 version...
What am I doing wrong???
Go HTC.com, click on support, download the latest official ROM for you phone, flash it, then flash to whatever ROM you want to from xda. Why this makes a difference, I don't know. Flash official ROM first, then flash whatever you like. Will fix it.
well, i have a mda vario 3, so i cannot download it from htc...
can i also take the update from t-mobile?
http://www.t-mobile.de/fremdcontent/1,2790,123254,00.html
it's wm6.1
thanks a lot! hope it helps!
I would think any official ROM would work, but I don't know, to be honest. Try it out. If it flashes, then just re-flash whatever ROM you want from here. (BTW, I really do recommend TPC's 5.1 He does incredible work!)

hi. I have a htc topaz (touch diamond 2) with official rom 6.5 WWE. so can i install manilla 2.5 on my rom??? and if yes , can you please give me the link for manilla 2.5 for htc topaz wvga?
thank you
Yes it can be done.
Just read the FAQ in the rom-section of the topaz...
Just pick the rom you want from the rom-section.
i think what vijaysapkota asked is for a .cab that will do that inside his rom, not other rom. as far as i know, it cannot be done. the only way is to flash a manilla 2.5 rom.
You have to installe a new 6.5 Rom with Sense (manilla) 2.5, and they only comes as Unofficial Rom.
It's not possible to only installe Sense 2.5 on a Rom.
All the above is right but beware, 2.5 is quite slow on topaz

its very easy... mostly follow instructions & search xda if solution needed...
first install hardspl > just follow onscreen instructions
then download rom and flash from sd card method it means you just rename the file & reset the phone in special way.

Not according to latest benchmarking results (cannot post link, sure you can find them). Same ROM TESS, one with 2.5 is faster than with 2.1. Haven't tested TESS pride III, but TESS Leo II sure feels fast, faster than other Sense 2.1 ROMs.

it may not be necessary, depends on ROM (the fix might be already included). just play a while with your new rom and you'll notice. if needed, then you should search the forum (the thread started by the author of your ROM is a good place to start).

Not yet . I'm currently testing the other ROM he ported. WG-Build Y-2.6. It's running fine so far.
Seems to work well. Flashed no problem, phone works, wifi works. Well done.
Thanks a whole bunch for this port! I installed The official Rogers 1.5 ROM to get my 3G connection back and I tried cursorsense (which is a fine ROM but I just hate the Sense UI... I don't know it just feels gimmicky! and let's be honest 1.5 looks kind of dated) So I'm glad there's a port for the 6.35 radio, that way I don't have to revert back to the older radio.
will be flashing it soon! Thanks again!
What makes this port different from a 32A port like ahmgsk's ones? I know they are for different radios. What is different in the code?
