Hi Developers.
Anyone can cook up an App to enable the LGKS20's Camera light?
The LGKS20's LED is extremely bright and it will be great if it can be used as a Torch Light.
Thanks !
just hold down the decrease volume button for a while and you get it ! no need to add a program

Actually it does work. But the screen has to be off (suspend mode).

Yea.. we need to fully utilise this baby hd2...
That'd be well useful.
we better map one of the buttons to act like the bing button so we can enjoy WP7
i doubt our hd2 can run win7! btw, i dun think win7 is cool at all..
Due to the power button issues with the Nexus One I would like to see an app developed for adding a power button widget to limit the amount of abuse our physical power buttons must endure.
With all the great devs here on XDA, I am sure that someone will be able to get this app up and running for all of us Nexus One owners. (Tmo, AT&T, Verizon, etc.)
Launch Market. Search for "reboot control" and there you have it: a widget that lets you reboot, power down, reboot into recovery, wipe handset, reboot into bootloader.
and an app to turn off your screen instead of hitting the power button or waiting for it to go into standby?

Are there any reboot apps that don't require ROOT?

Thanks for the tip! I do like a software solution though as well. My question still stands, is there a power button widget that doesn't require rooting my new phone?

I don't think there is. If you can't run reboot in a terminal without root access then I doubt there is an app that can do it.
I would love a widget that would allow you to cut off the screen.
After trackball wakeup trick we only need widget to put phone in sleep and i'll surely forget about power button who is very hard to reach one handed
Anybody?

I tried my best, but hopelessly
You can have a tiny bit of variance, maybe 1/10 second or so between Power and VolumeDown. If the volume toast appears, you weren't quick enough, and need to wait until it disappears. If you still can't do it, try with your other hand or a different pair of fingers.

Hi,
In my previous phones I could just hold the volume - button and the volume would reduced till the phone was on Vibrate mode. Then if I pressed the Volume - one more time, it would've gone to Silent mode. But I can't do the same with my Huawei Mate 8. Is there any way to have shortcut for switching between vibrate/silent ?
Thanks,

Hmmm, I always simply use the quicksettings to put the phone on sound/silent/vibrate, and for easy access put do not disturb under that as well. Click, click, done :good:
In the second screenshot you can also see the silent switch after pressing down till volume zero using the side buttons. But the first method is the quickest of the two
