I have tried 4 different versions of WM6 from here...Some of them after the upgrade do not run at all.The device hungs up at the splash screen, i reset the device ,hard reset the device ,remove the battery but nothing happens.
This lately occured after installing faria's rom.
Other roms after entering the main screen ,start menu etc, they crash which after each reset happens over and over again...
I'm starting to wonder...is something wrong with my device?
Many times this happens even with the official qtek rom.
Just a question, have you unlocked your phone?
How do i tell if its unlocked or not?
I never had a single problem during an upgrade...but crashes keep on happening right after or in the proccess of a hard reset, i repeat , even with the official ROM, which took me today 2 hours to make it install and run smoothly at last! (unexpected resets , not loading after hard or soft reset)
The device now works fine but it took me so much time to bring it to that condition that i wont be flashing it again unless something very bad happens.
put your device on bootloader then downgrade it to your official rom then after running you have to unlock before reupgrade to any other WM6.0 rom
I recently installed PDAViet's 4.0.0.5a ROM. I thought all was working smooth and fast until I recently tried to soft reset the device.
What happened is that the phone never booted. It was just stuck at the green Windows Mobile splash screen.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you solve the problem?
All help is appreciated

Just reboot the system one more time or two more times, by Soft Reset. It will always come back. There must be some 3rd party software that made some changes to the ROM. It might not be reproducible later.
I tried it to no avail.. I haven't even installed any 3rd party software. It sucks but a hard reset did the trick.. lost all my new contacts and stuff though

Don't give up. Try update once again. But remember to follow exactly each step. and it is often worthwhile to do a couple of Hard Resets before and between and after each step.
I have the same problem before, in my initial attempts in upgrading, but once the machine is clean after a couple of HR (actually once is enough), I never had the same problem now.

Thanks anyway, however.. That's the thing, I was able to successfully flash the ROM to PDAViet. However after using the device for some time, it fails. It vibrates non-stop all of a sudden. Then if I reset, it won't boot anymore (stuck in the Windows Mobile splash screen. I think it may be a hardware problem already..
I was trying to update my C500/Typhoon to a WM6 Rom. I got it running for a while, but after a sooft reset, something happened. For some reason, it is now stuck at the first splashscreen.
If I try the hard reset, it doesn't do much. Just tries to boot the phone as normal. So I am pretty much stuck.
Any ideas?
Hmm.. I can also get it into Bootloader? Where to go from here?
You didn't brick your phone because bootloader is still there. You need to hard reset your phone. I am not sure how to do it on typhoon but you can find it somewhere. Or you can try to flash different ROM on your phone.
........................
My phone keeps resetting all the time so I can't sync to PC using Active Sync.
I can however start bootloader.
Is there any way to flash HARD SPL via flash card?
(my phone hasn't flashed yet to hard spl or any other rom unsupported by HTC)
Tried to flash phone using official rom update from bootloader.
Updated succesfully unfortunately same restarts after update.
Also tried to flash HARD SPL from bootloader and it detects phone, even starts flashing and stops on 0% then shows connection error. After this restarts as before.
If your phone is messed up and it's never been flashed/hacked, the best thing is to return it for warranty/repair (although it may be too late for that).
You can't flash hard spl from the sd card, so don't bother trying. You may just brick the phone doing it. Read the hard spl thread for instructions and tips on flashing. Make sure that you flash the proper hard spl (and roms/radios) for your device. Its sounds like you may have flashed the wrong firmware, although you haven't really told us what you've done. Constant re-booting is pretty typical when cdma is flashed to gsm, or vice versa. If you flashed the wrong bootloader, then you might as well throw the phone away.
Actually I DIDN'T flashed anything before it happened. At least I didn't.
I bought phone one week ago on auction. Phone worked smoothly. There was a problem with photo camera taking negative like photos. It wasn't important for me so I didn't even tried to flash new rom. That's all. Phone worked fine until todays morning. I woke up hearing reapeated welcome sound over and over. So I just removed battery to turn phone off. During the day tried to update official rom (from htc site) succesfully. But it didn't changed anything.
Try hard resetting the phone. Also, try removing the sim and sd cards. If it continues to re-boot, you may be in trouble. It could already have hard spl on it, so put it in bootloader and see if it's there or not.
Well, now I'm sure I'm in trouble.
In bootloader mode screen doesn't show "1.90.OliNex". I assume, there's no HardSPL.
Hard reset is not possible since I can't start windows mobile. It stops in phase: "Preparing your device for first use...".
It started working unexpectedly!
I've just tried to flash one of original roms available and after rejection, phone restarted and logged to windows succesfully.
Of course I've flashed HARD SPL and now everthing is working fine.
Unfortunately, after a week phone gone into "loop of restarts" again.
Ive been running a GTN7000 on rooted ICS for some time without any errors however today I decided to remove Chainfire 3D, after the compulsory reboot my phone shows no display after the initial logo. The normal jingles and vibrations take place and the buttons are lit but there is no screen output.
Does anyone know how to fix this without wiping my phone? thanks
It seems like you have a soft brick. Try a reset via Samsung Kies or look for a soft brick undo guide or something.
I am sorry I cannot help any further as I do not own a note myself and therefore have minimal experience with the device.
Would like to hope you can fix it.
Hit thanks if I helped.
i think you should try to soft reset it. you can use any reset method you already know....
sorry if i couldnt help you any further too. but as for me, when i face some error like that, i've always reset my phone (coz i already backup my data with titanium backup)
Hi guys, sorry for the delay.
I've finally managed to fix it.
After fighting through a whole heap of errors and reflashing the device at least 10 times I now have my phone back to a fully working rooted ICS state. I did however loose all my data.
