If you want mediaplayer skin to be vistalike, use attached files:
To use this skin just drag the Folder poorlyduck's vista media Player skin to
\program Files\windows Media Player\ open media player and go to Menu>Options then
choose the skin tab and wait for the skins to load and press next to pick the vista
skin, do the same thing when you are in landscape mode.

Changed the base, started with a new fresh official htc rom ad cleaned it out from scratch (huge ****load of timeconsuming work, lol) and I need to do alot more to it before its a "final" rom

If you have time try creating something that can be used by fingers only (without stylus). I always use icontact and slide2unlock. For me these two progz with a finger frindly mediaplayer skin and qicklaunch buttons for Desktop would be the ideal rom. I hate using the stylus...

SOLVEDsmall bug guys, when i cooked the beta of this, I had some graphics open in photoshop, and somehow the bootscreen went blank, but just wait for the "beep" from the device after booting up, then press the stylus (or finger) then u will see the alligning screen....
I will up a fixed one a bit later. But please test it anyway SOLVED

wm6.1 acts diffrent with themes on flash, I have not had the time to set it up properly. Use my theme or any of your liking

advanced config can not be opened
no mms setting or options anywhere
tsk files are listed in settings, but none of them show a background image
dialer pad does not apper only lettering for connected and last call show
settings has listing for htc home but htc home does not apper on main screen
can not open com manager
random access in contacts does not apper
audio manager graphics glitch out, can't be used...
hopefully this give u an idea of my testing lol

Definately on my want list, unfortunately since it's my primary work phone i'll wait flashing till the small bugs are ironed out...

you can not have testet the second, cause thats the bugs from the first rom, none of them are present in second...errr, well not true there is no MMS, cause there is no sollution as I know of to the issues with wm6.1 and mms with herald. but then again, I have not been catching up latly, so it might be a sollution right in fron of my nose

You may want to check with ivan. I think he may have solved the mms issue.

after toying with this for about 2 hours... i can't find anything wrong with this rom... i love the new layout and theme... it looks so clean and feels so much faster then what i have seen in the past for wm6.1. as always i will be doing more testing... but i think this would get a clean bill of health... minus the mms issue but that is an easy fix with a cab download anyway..

Well its my time to give back to the wizard community with the release of my first cooked rom. This is my attempt of creating a "clean" ROM only incorporating things that I actually use (and hopefully you to). I am branding this release as SNN edition of wm6.1. The base rom is email123's vanilla edition of 6.1. It is a stable release with a good mix of apps/utilites cooked in. I didn't make any major tweaks to the rom so some of the known bugs of 6.1 may still be present. Please leave comments about this rom so we can improve it together.

Known Issues
These issues are existant only upon initial boot/flashing.
During the flashing process the RUU may hang around 99% or 100%. Just give it time, it takes about 10 mins for flash to finish from start to end.
Upon initial boot, 2nd and 3rd splash screens seem to "freeze". As with any other rom, the initial boot always takes longer. Just give it time.
An error for S2U2 may pop up during first boot, just click ok then open and close iLock located in the S2U2 folder in start menu>programs.
Network wizard will configure your network settings. This may take some time.

Newbie1221's SNN edition of wm6.1
Final Note:
I accept no responsibility for any damages that maybe done onto your phone by using/attemping to use this ROM. This ROM has been flashed succesfully onto my CID & SIM locked G4 using SoftSPL.The nk.nbf file only contains OS and splash screens. No IPL/SPL. So it is G4 safe. If you are new to flashing I strongly recommend reading the stickies in regards to flashing a new rom onto your device in order to avoid any damages.

lol, this rom on a cold boot has about 30 MB free. The reason why it shows only 25 MB free is because i had a program running to take the screen shots and i had all the other programs i took pics of still running before i got to the memory screen. There's a pic of free MB with the program i use to take the screen shot and nothing else running in 2nd post.
The average of MB free is usually between 25-30, depends on what you got running in the background. If you want 30 MB free you should try a lighter rom like Merlin's slim edition, it comes as close to vanilla while having only necessary apps cooked in.

I dont have a bluetooth set, so i cant test whether or not there are any issues with this rom. If those that have already downloaded/flashed this rom could chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know where I can get a base rom for 19199? by chance? I ws hoping to start cooking my self, But I can't seem to find a version I can use for my self (doesn't come appart right with packager) I just want to make some minor cosmetic adjustments so that it would be easier to see the dialer in hard sunlight. as well as add some small progs.
I'll let you know how the rom is after I have had my way with it for 24hrs.

hmmm.. didn't notice that didn't work... It's probably because there was a task manager already included in the base rom. If you wanna use task manager use the one from the today screen (upper right hand corner) or the one that is located in start menu>Programs. I'll test further to see if i can get that corrected before my next release. Thanks.
Hey when trying to install this rom it freezes at 52% what is wrong?
MMS does not show up anywhere. Usually when you open messages it will show SMS/MMS but just shows SMS, when you click on new, your choice is there for MMS, SMS and Voice Mail, and i clicked to send MMS, nothing. just saved in the SMS draft. Battery drain is fast.
Just wanna say thank you all for the feedback you've given back to me so far. Again this is my first release so there's a learning curve i have to get over. I am definately taking down notes to get these errors corrected. keep the feedback coming. The pro's (if any) of this release would be appreciated to so that i can keep what works and remove what doesn't.
I think that this is the best wm 6.1 rom!!! All is working. Beam also is working.

hey in all the roms that I had based on s740 rom - HTC Album worked smoothly without any problem. Problem is that ActiveSync is not working, power control panel in Settings screen is corrupted, CommManager link from quicklist and from Settings screen is not working (hopefully replaced by default wireless manager - wrlsmgr.exe) and also qwerty keyboard is not working. I hope that with this rom all this issues will be solved.... good luck and I am waiting for the link to download. thanks for great job and for support.

htc album dont works in my previous rom and in zeshe rom...
active sync fixed.
power control panel is ok
commmanager works from quick list
and the sliding keyboard is working exept some things.. check out in bugs..

one thing i notice is, after it does the hard reset and reboots after installing settings, it retains the old welcome screen which was there in my previous ROM.
This old welcome screen comes followed by the animated new hTC welcome screen with a tingling sound!!!.
this is my first observation.
HomeScreen is smooth....!!!

i dont understood much but maybe this is because i dont have a primarysplash.nb on my rom so you have the old one...
Just flashed your ROM, the speed is very nice! I also like the new animated bootscreen.
The first thing I stumbled upon: when I selected my country and operator in Connection Setup, it prompted me to reboot, and after the reboot an error message showed up saying "Error in the database". As a result, Connection setup didn't create GPRS connections for my operator. But that's not a very serious bug anyway.

my keys on full keyboard dont work only the ones who work with the other s740roms!
do i have to use special setting?
for example in acessability or regionalsettings?
found out myself its needed to use us keyboard mapping!
now it works very good

What would make the Today screen of wm6.5 more appealing is the removal of the Icon titles. Most users know by now the functions of the Icons. having the titles on there gives a disoriented and sloppy look to a great ROM.

I think the sloppiness isn't because there's labels, it's because the labels aren't centered and sized right, which is probably a quirk caused by QVGA. In the official MS shots of the new 6.5 revisions, I think the labels look a lot sharper. No labels would definitely look better than misaligned labels, though, so hopefully somebody figures out a way to make them toggleable.

Well finally got it Dloaded.... Seem like great graphics but i ahd issues booting it up... frooze, now it vibrates everytime you touch the screen... was checking out other stuff and it locked up again... Looks like it could be real nice though... but 21198 is out...

Just flashed this rom, took 4 reboots to get it to boot after clearing the storage. So far so good but I can see the screen touch vibrate thing getting anoying, can this be disabled?

First impressions are good, this is by far the best 6.5 rom I have tried. Titanium is much more responsive than other roms. This one might be a keeper!

This a GSM 6.5 build 28230 rom its not perfect but usable
if you find any bugs tell me and i will try my best to fix them.

I tried it, but unfortunately, I had to go back to 21884.
1. The top bar is still flaky. I can still see " before the battery icon.
2. It looks like 6.5.3 was never made for 320x320. The controls are little too thick.
3. The popup keyboard takes up over 80% of the real estate. but I love that keyboard though.
4. the OS crashed like twice in under an hour for me and both times when it went to sleep.
5. There was no problem in networking. GSM and WIFI worked fine. Didn't test bluetooth though or GPS.
6. I set the text size to small, but I guess the UI is little too fat for TP.

1. i dont really understand what you mean could you upload a screen shot?
2.yea it looks like it was actually made for those wide screen phones like the tilt 2 or hd2 i don't think it looks good on even qvga
3.i will look in to that i think i will either have to change icon size manually or there is a file i will need to edit to make it small
4.the new builds are not very stable i haven't seen any 23xxx or 28xxx build be stable for the Treo Pro before

I coudn't take any screen shots...and I forgot to mention that the "number/white" key on TP doesn't show any indicator in the task bar when in number mode
and the ALT key refuses to work.

the keyboard is a stock keyboard i didn't add an new keyboard Microsoft added it in there 23xxx and 28xxx builds i will try to see if i can find where the keyboard files are located in the kitchen but so far i havn't had any luck in finding it i wanted to try to make the keyboard smaller because it fills up a lot of the screen. sorry i couldn't give you a direct link

wow thats a major problem thanks for the bug and are you using SD card that is HC

before install the cab, disable all items in home menu, install time is about 1,5 min.(deactivate auto standby or set the stanby time higher) install the cab. Restart.
really 3D effect! works on 6.1 ROM, 6.5 ROM and also 6.5.x ROM

Thatd great miro! i will test it out when i have my WiFi connection fixed to dowload it. atm i only have 2g and downloads are too slow... Thanks! In the other thread, Kevin said it bricked his device, i think it is because it is designed only for 6.1/6.5 roms and not 6.5.3. i will test on your miROM14 later, cheers!
p.s - is this uninstallable? thanks! also how did you make it? it would be nice to know

it works on my miROM1_beta_Sense2019 os 6.5.5. very well . i dont know why kevin has problem with it . i think work on all roms. AND yes you can allways remove! use 22 MB Storage.
for the best: before install the cab, disable all items in home menu, install the cab. no restart needed. go back in home settings, toshiba menu is selected. press ok and toshiStripes starts!

Finally got it! works great on your miROM14 thanks alot! your very smart to make a cab out of this.. Just out of interest, which files did you use? You could also post this in the Windows Mobile Development Forum.. Many, many peoplehave wanted this on their non-htc phones. they would be so happy, and your thanks meter will rocket up

no, my friend- i use my miROM1 6.5.5 and works good! olyloh6696 test it on miROM14 (6.1 ROM) wihout problems. Perhaps yor 6.1 ROM is TO clean and it fails few files.

yes [email protected] can configure it to have the flip clock in the gadget zone. refer to the user manual
miro atm im not home and don't have my pc, but will post somescreens shots! I also don't have it installed in the rom to hard reset this morning because of some software which bricked my phone! (dont worry it wasnt your stripe menu cab!) But for now, go to the post screenshots thread in the themes and appps forum. some people have posted their devices with the stripes menu when they first got their tg. cheers !

Assuming you meant me (?) - no, hadn't had any issues. But have not tried the stripes since very first encounter with the TG, since which I've been running debranded completely. I have looked at the multitude of files involve in the stripes UI, but I'm afraid purely from the persepective of stripping out rather than adding back.

Sorry! I meant to say that it was the recent new member kevinchr not kevinpwhite, who had been requesting all l developers to create a cab file got him.
I personally like this UI as my alternate UI when I'm not using TouchFlo because its a nice change

With 6.5.5 the red and green phone buttons are obscured and the blinds to not "turn". The Tosh interface uses a lot of memory too

I am not absolutely certain, but recall some commments a while back that the blinds only rotated on the original 6.1 edition and Toshiba made some changes with the 6.5 update which stopped that, presumably due reported problems...

Yes i think they removed it because many people found that it was slow and unresponsive in early ROMs. But it was still slow anyway. they were too lazy to rewrite the software.

Miro I can confirm that this cab works flawlessly on ANY rom!!
It's got the 3D animation too and waaaaaaaaaay more smoother than original 6.1 roms.
I will advice anyone who wants to use this cab, to use on new kitchen's production. This extra RAM is very well used by this stripes menu!
I am LOVING it!! It's fresher than sense UI and I think if toshiba din't kill it with little ram and clunked up 6.1 OS, then original UI was attractive at least for the first sight. I've already been asked 'what phone is it' - 4 times after I installed this cab
Only few huge request are:
Can you please look into trying to see if you can create something like 'StripeMenu Editor'?
An app that can edit i.e. give more options that can be added/removed to stripes?
An app that can let us have more than 3 colour stripe combinations?
An app that can let us remove the stripes we want to remove i.e. the Orange world stripe can be removed? - something like 'titanium editor' apps.
I know it's very big ask especially from someone who is crap at developing, but I think there is potential to lift this UI with that little app.
