Apple lossless compatible player - General Topics

Hi there
Does anybody in here know about an application or codec that can play Apple Lossless files on the Pocket PC platform?
I´ve only found the mPlayer port, which looks like its in the alpha stage and was abandoned a while ago.
I have 5000+ files in this codec, so converting them to mp3 etc. would be quite a job.
Thanks in advance.

Need codec for MP4 files of my Qtek9090

Hi,
I need the codec to view MP4 files generated by my Qtek9090 on my Windows XP laptop.
Strange enough, they work on my regular PC... I don't recall having installed anything on purpose for that.
I have WMP10 on my laptop, Divx 6 codecs.
What do I need and where to get it, to view my small movies?
Thanks,
vma

I'm looking for the CODEC to watch videos created with the Qtek9090 build-in camera on my Windows XP laptop.
Not the other way around!
Thanks anyway.

Try using Quicktime player and exporting to another format. This seems to work fine for me.

Playing (mpeg-4) files on PC

Sorry if this is not strictly on topic, but I am having problems playing video files on my PC which were recorded on my TC. Has the format been changed/tweaked since the Trinity (my last device)? I can't get the files to play using latest versions of WMP, RealPalyer, Quicktime or DivX player (all with -I think- appropriate Codecs; Sherlock utility lists bucket loads of Codecs residing on my PC).
The videos play OK on WMP mobile on the TC and the files were copied direct to the PC using a card reader in order to keep ActiveSync out of the equation.
Thanks
For me, the only way too see videos on my PC is to use Media Player Classic.
I've tried with VLC: video plays but...without sound.

MP4 is now a fairly common video format on the net, and is now becomming a standard format for mobile video recording, takeing over the place of 3gp. If you have troubles whith it, you have several options.
1. You can download the VLC Player, a free, open-source player that plays all videofiles whithout the usage of installed codecs (plays *.flv files as well).
2. If you do some video coding too, then you can install a Codec pack... I recommend K-Lite for that, but ofcourse there are several choices.
3. WMP11 supports it...
All solutions are free... but next time try this:
1. Google
2. In the search field: "How to play MP4 files"

Click to collapse
I recomend checking your settings, because VLC works for me. Did you try the latest version? Does this no sound occur whith other file types aswell?
Installed VLC, but like Jules got no sound?
I do however get sound from MP4 files (and other video formats) from sources other than the TC.
So what comes out of the TC does not seem to be normal? (Hence me posting here.... yes I googled (lots) before)
The source of the problem is, that VLC does not recognize the audio stream of the mp4 files created by the TC. The coding of the Audio stream is GSM AMR-NB... so the only option is to get the AMR codec.
The reason VLC plays it for me is because K-Lite is installed (and it contains the audio codec for that).
@gnick666
I use the last Vlc version and KLite Standard version.
And no sound, just with Cruise's MP4. No problem with others MP4.
But Media Player Classic plays these videos with sound.

Klite Mega Codec Pack is the magic solution. Playing TC recorded video fine in WMP11 and BSPlayer Pro

Desktop Video Player

I have posted this in general as I suspect it applies to other phones as well.
My HTC Rose can record videos in wither MP4 or H.263 format and for this, it works.
But when I download these files onto my desktop PC, I am having trouble finding a video player that will play back video AND SOUND.
VLC (which normally supports anything) does not support the samr codec. Windows Media player can't even play Video.
Now to date the only thing I can find that plays these things is Quicktime player from Apple but this is one piece of software I really don't want on my PC so what is everybody else using out there to play the video files they take on their phones?
Thanks
Hy,
do you have testet ffplay or mplayer on your desktop pc?
Greatz

HTC HD2 - CorePlayer Audio Codec (AC-3) support

Hi....
um running coreplayer v 1.3.6 build 7427 on my HD2.
The player almost plays all files I need, including .AVI files.
Anyhow,,, while playing some .AVI files the player displays the following message.
player: Audio Codec (AC-3) not supported by the player! (0108)
After this message, the file is smoothly played, but to my very big disappointment, without any audio.
I like not to convert my files into other playable formats.
So, if anyone can help me,,.... please.
Somebody, please figure out a way to play .AVI files with AC 3 audio codec on the coreplayer.
I have the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Same problem here!! but there is any player that can play ac-3 sounds?
I'm using a patched version of TCPMP support to play movies with AC3 audio on my HD2. (cab attached)
http://minhdanh2002.blogspot.com/2009/10/tcpmp-and-ac3-codec-for-windows-mobile.html
You need to set Options > Video > to GDI or Raw FrameBuffer to get video to display properly. Playback quality is great and no different from Core Player, except AC3 now actually works!
I should mention that I use a WM6.1 ROM on my HD2 instead of the stock WM6.5, so YMMV. Of course, I could also boot into Android and use an AC3-audio supported media player (many do). See my signature if you'd like to know more about running WM6.1 or Android of your HD2. The HD2 is a great phone but WM6.5 is just plain awful. Cheers.

[Q] codec pack for media player??

Is there a such thing as "codec packs" for use with media players on Android platform devices or even a 3rd party player that has a larger format capability? (I did STFA with no luck, yes saw the Dvix player and yes I am a noob when it comes to Android devices, so a little patience please)?
I have an LG P999 (G2x) and the wife has a Samsung Galaxy 4Gs which were rooted in the first two weeks of ownership (both are simple rooted, deoxed Froyo OS set-ups, nothing special --yet), Yes the G2x has some quirks/issues but on the most part I am very pleased with the device. Neither my wife's or my phones wants to recognize or play certain file extensions (I.E. - .flv, .mpeg, - etc.) it does seem to play .WMA and .MP4 files ok , is there any add ins, codec packs, etc. that will expand the formats that can be played?
Thanks in advance for any help on this subject
use Moboplayer with Armv7 codec.. works well for xvid files.. but mkv still wont work..
mkv's work but in software decode only so no hd mkvs
