I bought an HTC advantage X7500 some months ago at duty free in Paris only to find out the OS language is in French! Can you advise on how to Change language to English. PDA runs on Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition.

Have enjoyed my Qtek 9100 (HTC Wizard) for a few months now.
One thing that I’ve found a tad confusing though is all the names for various versions of Windows devices out there.

Would also like to know if Windows Mobile 5.0 supports Unicode and Asian fonts. I have the Windows Mobile 5.0 ROM 1.6.7 WWE installed on my device. Is there support for installing additional languages? Thai script in particular. What do I need to do in order to be able to compose emails, documents or send and receive SMS messages in Thai (or Japanese, Chinese for that matter)?
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
I need to have Thai font/input on a UK market HTC Vox smartphone, can this be done if so how !

I want to buy new or second hand Pocket PC. But right now I'm studying Japanese, so I would be really happy if I could have Pocket PC with Japanese Windows Mobile. Right now I'm using Blue Angel which was licalized to Japanese. But all the menus are still in English, and I don't really satisfied with it My plan is to buy a new/second hand one and then flash it with Japanese ROM. Any devices will be OK.
Is there anyone who could help me? I need Japanese ROM for any devices. Does anyone have the file or the download link??
Right now I already have Japanese Windows Mobile 6 ROM for HTC UNIVERSAL. UNI's screen is VGA, but the RAM Memory is still 64MB. I need both VGA screen and RAM Memory higher tahn 64 (if there's any ). I would like to have another Japanese ROM for other option...

I got a huge problem: I just changed from my oldschool Windows Mobile 2003-PDA to a brand new HTC Touch Diamond with Windows Mobile 6.1.
I used to use Powerlex 4 mobile dictionary from GData, which worked fine on my wm2003-device.
Now i installed it on my touch diamond and the program runs, but once i try to look up for a word the program crashes and WM 6.1 gives me an error message/message, that a problem has occured.
Is there any way of getting this program run on WM 6.1? Thanks!
How about just switching to a different dictionary? Lexisgoo Dictionary is excellent and works well with WM 6.1
problem is that I was usually looking for some Freeware, but no matches in google. I don't want to pay again 39,99€....the GData powerlex 4 cost me this price I want to continue using it!
by dictionaries do we mean books i was just wondering why not by the book.
hey jayjay, no, by dictionaries i mean a program, which can translate and describe you words and sentences from german to french or from french to german, etc.

I am the owner of a Rhodium (Touch Pro 2) I bought in Zurich as my Touch HD died during a stay there.
It is in german, with a good keyboard for me : QWERTZ, but I would like to change my german WM 6.1 into a french WM6.5... If I want to do that on HTC website, I cannot because my serial number says I have a german OS... How can I do ? Can I buy a separate WM 6.5 in french and will it work ?
I have no idea where to post this and if there is a solution...
