Since PocketCM SMS Feature will never work, suggestion? - Palm Treo 750

Since PocketCM's SMS feature will never work on our Treo, does anyone know how to change the look of the embeded Treo SMS already on there to look like HTC home or anything else for that matter? I love PocketCM except for the SMS part and also Pointui is very nice again, except for the sms button goes to the Treo SMS function. Anyone?

Messaging settings - can't find them

I installed the new official 6.1 ROM from HTC on my Touch Cruise. I is working gread, but there is one VERY annoying feature that I want to get rid off, but I can't find a way.
It is that foolish manner of showing the SMS messages as some kind of chat conversation. How can I get rid of that ? I want to use the old fashioned way of SMS being just an SMS, not a chat conversation.
Search the forum for the registry entry to turn off threaded SMS.
I have seen this new feature on the new ROM and I thought it was cool at first. It's starting to annoy me a little bit, so we'll have to see whether or not I get that annoyed I have to turn threaded SMS off.
yeah some parts are a bit annoying. like viewing the timestamp of a text was sent a couple of days ago. haven't quite figured that one yet. the other thing is the performance hit with threaded sms, as well as when the keyboard pops up combined with the area to write in, not much space is left to see the previous message anyways. maybe i should turn it off....haha...

After digging about, I found this superb fix in a .cab file:

S2U2 or PocketShield

I've used S2U2 for a year or so, mainly on my Kaiser but now also on my HD. I've also put InesoftDialler on the HD and now I'm having great problems answering calls. I used to use slide to answer, which I really liked, but now when I receive a call I seem to get a mash of S2U2 and Inesoft Dialler.
I'd like to keep the dialler if I can, it's much prettier than the plain black and white looking interface of the HD, but obviously I need to be able to answer calls.
I've tried taking off slide to answer, but it doesn't help.
So, I'm looking at PocketShield as an alternative. Can anyone recommend this? If I'm paying, I need good software. Will Inesoft Dialler conflict with this too? Is it just some settings I need to change perhaps?
Disable "Slide to Anwser" in S2U2 settings. had the same problem, this fixxed it

We are currently working on v2.2 which will allow to disable the lock during an incoming call, this to let different dialers handle the call without any conflicts.
Comming on version 2.2
Exception list for auto-unlock.
Unlock on ActiveSync present.
Option to disable lock on calls.
Vibration option on call connected and call ended.
Light sensor calibration.
Customizable battery meter color.

Question about SPB Phone Suite

Hi. I just started using SPB Phone Suite and I'm really impressed with it thus far. The only thing that I would like to be able to is when I press the SMS notification button, I would like it to go to Extreme Text rather thatn the default message inbox. Is there a way I can do this? If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Check out s2u2. its a great addition and you wont even need to go into the sms screen if you dont want to reply with the pop ups it has built in. If you want to, you can slide to veiw and it will bring you right in the message. Try it, its really cool. I just started using it myself

Threaded SMS broken, need fix!

Hi, everyone,
I recently flashed a custom ROM that I really, really like, stable and fast (HelteROM). But there's a HUGE glaring issue that's wrong with it, and that's threaded SMS.
For some reason, I can't respond to texts at all while threaded SMS is enabled. Opening the SMS from the TouchFLO 3D tab, opening them from the inbox, it's all the same: the words SMS/MMS show up on the taskbar, but otherwise the screen doesn't change. The SMS doesn't load for me to reply to it.
Tapping the X does nothing to remove the SMS/MMS text from the taskbar, either. I have to press the Home key to be kicked back to the Home screen, and I STILL haven't been able to open the SMS to reply to it. ;_;
Turning off threaded SMS from Advanced Config lets me respond to the texts just fine, so I know it's a threaded SMS issue. Is there some sort of cab that I can install to fix this issue? I've run into the same problem numerous times from different custom ROMS, but I've dealt with those by flashing different ROMs instead. I wanna stick with this ROM, though, so I could REALLY use the help!
Same problem
I have the same problem that you describe on my stock Sprint Touch Pro. I cannot open or reply to SMS messages when threaded SMS is enabled, but I can see them in classic view.
This happened pretty recently, and I think it was because an e-mail that it for some reason didn't like was forwarded to my phone as a text message.
I've tried deleting the cemail.vol file and that didn't fix it. If you figure this out, I'd love to hear the solution.

Threaded messaging text box behind softkeys?

This is driving me insane, I have put up with it for too long and I just need to find a solution. I can't remember when this started happening, if it is a 6.5 or a 6.1 and 6.5 thing. It has happened on both my old Raphael and on my new Rhodium. The problem is when you are in a conversation view in Messaging and you slide out the keyboard, the textbox where you type the reply will be mostly behind the softkeys. This happens randomly, but at least once per day. To fix this I have to close the messaging application with a task manager that can kill the process.
Has anyone else had this issue?
