Need a solution to my problem - General Topics

This is what's happening. I have a training schedule, it's quite intense so I have set several re-occurring appointments in my WM calendar app. Now, I also have some work events which are in my calendar as well. Right now what happens is an alarm goes off and I think it's something from my training schedule, but it's actually an appointment, thus end up missing my appointment. I know there is a simple solution to this: just look at the PDA to see what event it is, but ideally I would like a different alarm for my training and my work appointments so that when it goes off I don't need to look at my PDA but I can just go do my thing.
The question is, pocket calendar lets you set up one alarm for ALL events so what app will do this?

Looking for app to quickly add reminders

I hope this is the appropriate forum to post this.
So far my search has been unsuccessful for a little app / tool for WM5/WM6 SMARTPHONE: all it needs to do is prompt me for a reminder text and alarm date/time.
At the specified time a reminder just pops up (vibrate/ring) and I can SNOOZE it in 5 minute increments (like older nokia phones.. press n times for n * 5 minute snooze).
Can hold multiple reminders, not just one.
Ideally it should launch with the new reminder prompt so I can quickly add things to remember on the go.
At least this is how I'd imagine my "dream" app.
I don't know if what I wrote makes sense.
You see, I'm an extremely forgetful person. If I'm talking to someone and promise to do something I usually forget it within a minute. Like it never happened. It's pretty serious, I struggle all the time.
I normally use Calendar but it takes too long to enter a simple reminder.
So if anyone could point me in a direction.....where to look
thanks
Greg
ps. no, I don't do drugs. I was born with this sh*t.
ps2. I was just thinking, is there a way to create Outlook FORMS for Pocket Outlook? So I could just create a basic template with two input lines and it adds the rest of the stuff and inserts it into outlook. (and add the private flag because it's synced to the corporate exchange server where calendars are all public... )

Calendar appointments

Hey everyone....
Does anyone know if we can get the calendar app. on the Fuze to show upcoming appointments like a week in advance? Mine will not show the appointments in the calendar tab until the day it happens. I HAVE SEARCHED The FORUMS ALREADY and could no find the answer, so please if you know it I would appreciate it....or If you can please point me to the right thread I would appreciate it as well as I cant find the answer on my own.
Thanks for the help.
many of us have tried to make Touchflo show more appts, however, its not possible at this time. your best option, if you need this, is to disable touchflo, and download some other homescreen app (ie, spb diary, etc)
And while on the subject of the Fuze calendar, I noticed today that appointments without a start/end time (all day appointments) do NOT show up in the monthly view as little icons on the display.
This is REALLY annoying, as I use glancing at the monthly display to determine if I'm available on a given day for work (I'm a freelancer).
Is there a solution, aside from editing all my all day appointments to give them a start and end time?
Is there another, better calendar program that someone can recommend?

I've been using Pocket Informant for a few years and I can't operate without it...
www.pocketinformant.com:)
Thanks for the reply. That looks like a LOT more features than I need, but it's an intersting app.
Can you confirm that an all-day appointment with no set start or end time made on Outlook on the dsktop shows on the Fuze display with pocketinformant?
After further investigation (I'm new to Outlook, having used Palm Desktop for a decade or so), it seems that in Outlook if you enter an all day event, you must also mark the event/day as "BUSY" instead of the default "FREE", and then a "something is happening this day" icon shows up in the Fuze calendar monthly view.

this is something that is still really bothering me, and i know that there are alternatives, but i personally love tf3d, so i was thinking, is it possible to have a calendar tab that shows your next 5-6 appointments? i know that there is a calendar tab floating around, but it just shows you a month calendar. if there was a way to set that tab to show your upcoming appts, that would solve my, and many others as well, problem. thanks

I second that. It would be nice to have a customizable today (TAB) that we could put the today screen or if not possible just appointments.. Hopefully some handy XDA'er is working on it....

Is there a calendar log type app out there?

I've searched several times, but can't find anything quite like I was looking for. I was hoping to find an app where you can enter a note or notes on a particular date - maybe color coded. Then you can look back through the calendar to glance at the notes. For things like recording your weight, or blood pressure, or maybe what outfit you wore, or if you exercised and how long. Just any thing really.
Has anyone seen anything like that? And I don't want to record these things in my outlook calendar or tasks.
Moved as not software release.

[Q] Android Calendar Query

Hi,
Im currently using DHD and was wandering about a calendar issue thats bugging me..I use the smallest stock calendar widget 4x1 on my home screen which displays a single reminder or calendar event but this event is always a reminder for the following day/s eg a birthday...is there a setting that can be changed that will make this display the current days event or reminder?
eg Joe Bloggs Birthday tmrw...but when tmrw comes it wont remind me, it will tell me the next days event.
Quite annoying as it relies on me remembering the previous days reminder or missing birthdays!(As the events are being pulled from Facebook calendar so are not manual alarm notifications)
Many thanks, I checked the previous threads on Calendar issues and couldnt find any similar posts.

[APP] Calendar Events Notifier

Remember when you did not get to that important meeting because you did not hear the reminder that you had planned?
In the real life if you are not near to the phone when a reminder becomes active, you will forgot it and their consequences can be unpredictable.
This app provides recurring reminders to the calendar events and fully solves the issue.
HOW IT WORKS
When a calendar reminder is triggered by the system a message is sent. This app captures the message and starts their work...
With this app you can configure the sound, vibration type and their pattern, led color, repeat interval and much more for the alerts in your Google calendars.
Also you can configure how a reminder stops: when manually stops, when the event starts or when the event ends.
Regular users can configure global settings, that are active for all the calendars, but PRO users can configure these options locally for each calendar.
WEAR
The app is fully compatible with Android wear. You can dismiss/snooze your alerts without removing the phone from the pocket.
Also, you can set the vibration pattern for the wear notifications.
PERMISSIONS
Read & Write calendar: Is the main goal of the app
Receive boot completed: To restart alerts after boot
Vibrate: Required to vibrate
Internet, access network state: Required by Ads and to download the user profile pictures
Billing, get accounts: To manage the PRO key
Read phone state: In order to delay notifications while in call (if configured)

Hi,
The app only shows event instances that has a alarm.
Also, by default the window interval is set to 3 days (you can change it at settings).
Have you any event that has a alarm in this interval?
Thanks
Oh okay. I didn't use alarms... Wanted to use alarms on my smartphone, but not on desktop and so on... What a pitty...
Another question: Did it replaces the native calendar notification/alarm or get I two notifications at the same time (Google Calendar and CEN)?

Sorry, but app is a alert reminder.
useless unless you use them
On Symbian, calendar events reminders weres ALARMS and not just a notification sound. Thank you for bringing this on Android.
Only on suggestion, could you add the possibility to control the service from Tasker ? Point is to be able to disable/enable it from Tasker.
Best regards, Magissia

Sorry, but this isn't possible.
If you have a particular question I can try to answer it, of course.
Please add an option to choose those events that need to be repeatedly alerted rather than all events..

The app distinguishes between 2 alert types:
1) The calendar calendar-provider alerts, that are triggered by the system. I don't interfere with this alerts until the system activates it and needs to be modified using your preferred calendar app (this app is a calendar notifier, not a full calendar app).
2) The app calendar alerts. A calendar-provider app becomes of this type just when it is activated by the system. To these alerts I apply the calendar specific configurations and I activate recurrently until manually dismissed (or the event starts or ends, depending of your configuration).
In the TO-DO list I have 2 tasks:
a) Ability to set dormancy period for all the days (e.g. at the nights)
b) Ability to set specific dormancy periods (e.g. don't disturb for 2 hours from now)
In the two cases, the alarms will automatic delayed until period end when triggered.
Is this your request?
Thanks (and sorry for my english)

its a pretty cool idea.. my suggestion is can you modify it Event specific..
i have set calender reminders for TV shows and personal events, here i need to be alerted once for those TV shows and even i missed it with the calender alerts it doesn't matter..
But for personal events like Wedding, Birthday Party i can't miss it,where i need the repeated alerts to work..
So the configuration should be like where the user can set what is important and need more attention
