Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I've googled around and searched through xda-developers, and doesn't seem it exists.
(for those not familiar with it) - On Palm OS if there is more than one event in the stack, it pops up a fullscreen list of all outstanding notifications (ie. battery low, new text message, missed call, etc) with checkboxes and a timestamp next to each line, and a "dismiss all" button at the bottom. It makes it really nice for a snapshot view once you've been away from your phone for a while. It's a lot nicer than dismissing each notification, one at a time (particularly when they don't even use the same button to dismiss).
This is probably me just not being used to the PPC version of Windows Mobile (I've been using non-touch screen smartphones too long).
For some reason, my calendar reminders are not showing on the screen. I hear the notification sound, but unless I bring them up manually using the icon bar at the top of the screen I never see the text so I can't dismiss them.
What have I done wrong here?
I have the same problem/frustration. I don't think it is anything you are doing wrong. I think it is (crappy) functionality of the TouchFlo interface. IMHO the TouchFlo interface renders meeting notifications useless. The home page does not show enough information and the issue you described. Interested to hear form others how they deal with it. I turned off meeting notifications because of this. Luckily for me I have a Blackberry sitting right next to it to remind me.
Yeah, same here.
Please check your settings:
Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications -> Tab: Notifications.
I would bet that for the Event "Reminders" the option "Display message on screen" is not checked. Right?
HTH
Go to settings, personal , Sounds and Notifications, select the notifications tab, pick Reminders in the event drop down and make sure "Display Message on Screen" is checked.
DeepThought and JoeWilcox nailed it. That was the issue. Very strange to not have that as a default. Thanks guys.
Nope, still no reminders popping up.
I've searched high and low for an answer to this one without success. I simply can't believe I'm the only one who has noticed the problem or that it hasn't been resolved by someone, somewhere - but where?
There's an annoying problem with WM6.1 and above whereby an inadvertent left or right movement, whilst actually trying to scroll up or down through an email, will actually move you onto the next (or previous) message.
I know that this swipe functionality (moving on to the next message by swiping right or previous message by swiping left) is absolutely intentional, but the problem is that it's just far too easy to inadvertently move to the next message (any slight finger movement across the screen) whilst actually simply trying to use a finger up swipe gesture to scroll and read the rest of the email that you've already got open.
Has anyone seen this or found a solution to this enduring annoyance?
Thanks.
I'm amazed that no one else has come across this problem?
There's an additional issue which is if you're reading HTML email where you can switch on scroll to right in order to view the whole width of the email then gesturing tends to switch email, rather than scroll.
Must be a way to switch off left and right swipe to change email surely - but how?
Hi, is there a way to stop the calendar on the Sense home page from showing all day events (in a similar way you can disable all day events on S2U2)?
Somewhat te same
Maybe it's not exactly the same but also appointments that are for eexample from 07:00 till 23:00 stay active so you cant see if there are other appointments up in the same periode.
I would like them to get from the screem and show the next appointment.
Hey everyone,
I've just picked up my new Pixel 2 today and it's great but...the At A Glance widget doesn't seem do anything except show my calendar. Long press doesn't do anything and there is no options for it in the home settings.
Any suggestions?
Edit: ignore this. I've just had updated my apps and it now seems to be fine
I'm having an issue as well. It is only displaying the day, month, and weather. I have things on my calendar but it never displays them. My appointments will show up in the notification bar but not on the home screen. Any ideas?
I've already long pressed and made sure my calendar events were enabled.

I'm having the same issue on on Pixel 2XL
I think what worked for me was allowing Google Now access to my upcoming events and location info. If you go to the Google Now screen and play around with the settings there it should work.
So I added a test event in the calendar app and it worked. So am I to assume that only events created within the app will show?
I contacted support and they verified my theory. It will only display events created within the app. If it gets added via the web or any other means, it will not show.
So, if a colleague creates an appointment and invites me as guest, the event is shown in my calender (as usual) but At-A-Glance won't show it??
And how do you toggle the weather to be shown or not to be shown? Long press only offers me calendar events and traffic info.

Regarding the weather. Try going to your google now feed and hitting the 3 dots in the top right corner. Then look for "customize feed" and hit that. Then scroll down and under "weather" hit "view all settings". Then where it says "weather updates for your location" turn it on. If it is already on, turn it off then back on. Now go back to your google now feed and pull down to refresh the feed. Now go back to your home screen and you should see the weather. As far as turning it off I think you can just turn off the "weather updates for your location" setting but I think you need to reboot to make the weather disappear.

That's dumb. I rarely if ever create an appointment from my phone. I usually do it from the web on my desktop. It should read from your Google Calendar regardless of where you enter it from.

My at a glance widget displays events added via the web, not just created within the app. It only displays the events starting shortly before the event. However, the widget appears to behave differently for different people.
Support is not the most reliable source of information.
I had this issue with my brand new Pixel 2, But I fixed it. To fix it first go to the Google app page in setting then go to the storage, manage space and then clear all data. After disable it enable it and it should start work.
