I would suggest unzipping the kitchen and keeping it as one unit. I would highly recommend NOT mixing kitchens until you are fully comfortable working with OS components.

lol - after staying up till 4 to debug this thing, I'm not sure I'll be releasing any roms for a while. Plus I've got a lot going on at work - so my troubleshooting time is severly limited.
For now, I have my personal one up there (I'm working on the 8 button now). We'll see how things go...

Mattk_r is it possible to post your own ROM. It looks good, and has everything I need. Can you give us een rapidshare link?

That's why I'm focusing on getting a kitchen out for users to create their own. No one person can create a build that fits everyone's needs.

Also - note that I didn't start a new Pandora releasea thread. Other than the one I buried at the bottom of post 1 here, I'm leaving the cooking to the cooks. I want to work on some tools for building - since that's where I see the most need right now anyway.

Okay, I updated the kitchen with the missing ClearStorage.exe and my build ROM downloads. Enjoy.

I noticed your other thread about removing .exes and .dlls from the rom first to save space in the OS, does this package have that work applied to it or should i go through and remove all dlls and exes from folder with that file in it the name of which i cant remember at the mo?>
Used the pandora kitchens before and mighty impressed with them, keep up the good work

unfortunately, no. It's too big. I tried megaupload, but it was horribly slow. If anyone can mirror, I'd appreciate it.

I found what looks to be a few minor bugs in the kitchen, so far I haven't seen anything major yet but I'll post whatever other findings arise if any.
1 Voice command settings link doesn't show up in start / settings after cooking.
2 Voice speed dial settings link shows up in start / settings but I'm pretty sure I didn't select it.
3 Voice speed dial shows up in start / programs even though it's not wanted.
4 Mobipocket link shows up in start / programs but it wasn't selected in the kitchen.
5 still won't cook with Implus selected in the kitchen.
Let me know when you want me to break something else Matt. LOL!

h4ck, you're right, definitely slow downloading from there. I was getting between 20 and 30.
Just an Idea, If it's too big for RapidShare, it could be split into 2 (or more) chunks using winrar.
If I had a server outside of the US, I'd gladly donate some space and bandwidth but unfortunately they're both here in the US.

I'll post just the SYS and ROM folders as a single download, which might help a bit, and I can use seperate download servers.
MobiPocket is a default app - and installs automatically.
Not too worried about impulse - I removed it from the OEM pack.
I didn't see any issue with VSD - but then that's what I use. Did you install VC or something else? Did you hard-reset between tests?
I'm posting a new kitchen build with the 8 button touch comm manager, which will be up in the next few hours.

It is based on Itjes Touch-IT 6.1.3 and modded to my real personal wishes. (still UC compatible)

- the backlight in metrix is NOT working in the app for herlad!
Other:
- NO x-button-fix needed !

nope it will show a text "not activated" but you can use it as normal....

READ IT, If you dont, you will spend even more time infront of your computer flashing the official ruu before trying again, why waste time, use 1 min to read and understand.

IF you brick your phone (Brick=the phone can be used as a building brick, or maybe a paperweight? Because you cant start it up.) Its no others fault but your own.
Mainly the reason for bricking a phone is:
1. Not reading the instructions good enough
2. Not following the instructions.
3. Not having a RUU that can unbrick the phone (the official installer with the official rom for your specific phone, with your phones default language. In.ex if yu have a german phone by default, you need a german RUU, if not you will get invalid vendor error)
4. Not reading the instructions good enough..again
5. Not following the instructions...again
If you dont understand after reading CAREFULLY, then dont bother flash your device with this or any other rom.

IF you brick your phone (Brick=the phone can be used as a building brick, or maybe a paperweight? Because you cant start it up.) Its no others fault but your own.
Mainly the reason for bricking a phone is:
1. Not reading the instructions good enough
2. Not following the instructions.
3. Not having a RUU that can unbrick the phone (the official installer with the official rom for your specific phone, with your phones default language. In.ex if yu have a german phone by default, you need a german RUU, if not you will get invalid vendor error)
4. Not reading the instructions good enough..again
5. Not following the instructions...again
If you dont understand after reading CAREFULLY, then dont bother flash your device with this or any other rom.
I also recommend to use the pagepool changer found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324955
I did nothing to the pagepool, because ppl have different experience with diffrent size on the pagepool, so thats why I leave that up to you
to find the correct pagepool size for your device.

When I try to get TouchIT on my T-mobile Wing, i think that im in running into a few problems. First, when I do I install the Aserg policies .cab, it installs but the message says that it may not show because it is for an earlier version of Windows. Is this a problem? Secondly, when I run the 1_UPGRADE_ROM a black RUN window ups and when I start it every action says something like: "cecopy" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file. What does this mean, is this why TouchIt isn't working, and what do I need to do to fix it?
Sorry if that is confusing, I'm very new to all of this.

Thanks for all previous great works. I flashed my Wing with your 4.1 rom a long time ago and haven't tried others yet, definitely would love the Vista look though, like you said, kinda sick of the cubes.

Ummmm Is there a tut for this? I would really love to have this on my wing.also when I install it it gets to 3% then stops and say a file is corrupt. What does that mean?

Review - Touched by Vista:
I will be going over the CUBE version of this ROM as it seems to be the most stable...
Of all the Wing/Herald ROM's i have tried this is by far the best, most stable and dare i say sekzy rom for the wing/herald...
ALMOST Everything works and ALL of the important things seem to run smoothly once you get the initial bug(s) sorted...
I find the MAIN bug for this rom is the cube in the cube version is a pain...
I tried the cubeless version but had the "x" button bug and i do not want to try to fix that...
So first off we need to turn off that anoying way the cube pops up randomly when you touch any where on the screen and wont function right at all...
To fix this you may have to turn it off several times for it to stick...
I changed the view mode setting to : TF Default v4.1 and unchecked everything before hitting OK and soft resetting when the alert screen comes up... that seemed to keep the cube off...

That out of the way everything else seemed to work flawlessly with a few minor bugs and issues Listed below...
All in all a very nice rom... =]

Minor Bug/Issues:
1. Today TouchFlo screens work great in both portrait and landscape (keyboard open)... When you go to landscape and you have more then one Item from the Today settings checked along with the HTC Home you get a scroll bar to the right... This is actually good and is an impovement over Manilla2D...
The bug shows up when you switch back to Portrait and the scroll bar hangs around for a second then goes away but takes the part of the HTC Home section that was under it away with it when it goes away with it...
I said they were Minor... =]
2. Calculator txt is not very readable... I looks like grayed out text on the comm manager... Usable but not friendly... =]
3. I really liked the Green colored theme that comes from flash but i tested out the "Glossy Black Bars" program and i can not get back the green just blue from the standard touch-IT theme in today settings... =[
4. Both of the programs with the gear icon are unusable... These are the task program (gear icon in programs not settings) and the battery status program... Clicking on them either does nothing or pops up with an untrusted source notice but never open...
5. Related to num. 4 no doubt but the Battery Status does not appear on the today screen when checked in settings... =[
Thats all for now... I will edit this as i find more...
All in all a fairly good and stable rom... Gets the job done... =]

Try enabling the Battery status and opening the options and make sure "show on today screen/show today screen pluing" is checked. that should do the trick. If not then it might be minimized (it happened to me too) =D.just look right below your homescreen clock and it should have the over clock speed and memory usage. click on that (not the time) and a drop down menu should appear. just click "Maximise" and it should be fine =D. ummmm i can't think of anything else =D gl and have fun. =D

Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE Full & Naked

I've created 28014 rom and so far it is working,
Based on NightRaven Kitchen and with 28008 provided by Acidhax & various sources for 28014 & many more

reserved for bug list:
- icon placing in start menu needs to be done correctly
- playback issue with WMP with large storage cards - seems to be fixed - please confirm
- you still have to do basic things when rom starts (calibration, time zone etc etc)
- Naked rom is almost Naked (it still has Palm's tools and utils)
All minor bugs:
Phone: Channels - pressing Ok does not exit. Windows key does not cause exit either.
Sounds & Notifications: vibrate always not completley showing. (problems with porting new WM builds to sqvga)
Outlook Mobile: 'Menu' icon does not appear. But if you press the space between keyboard and OK icon menu list apears. - is this still active?
Major bug on some devices:
Phone goes to sleep and you can't unlock it and use it... trying to solve this it seems like it is some Palm driver / WM 280xx build issue

it is there and maybe will work for you but it is not the same like on ralph or blackstone
i have to figure this one out...

I am currently using Mattbee's 23089 version which is very good, are there any major differences in this 28008 to make it worth upgrading to ??????

Automatic configuration is working, but database is older one, so there is a good chance that it will work in most countries.

will test it 2day or 2moro, got some Courswork 2do .... but looking forward to it, any ideas on RealVGA bit ?
i want new contact app from 6.5.3 and new notification bit at the top, but i find Start button at the bottom excessively big + the HardKey is just next to it lol, (i guess i will remap it to something else) and i hope RealVGA will make Start Button and other soft key a bit smaller, as it takes a lot of space on Small Treo Screen,
well i will give it a go l8r whan i have time...

Those "new" buttons were made to be used with our fingers, that's why they are "so big". I find them very usefull !!!!

I also like big buttons at the bottom it is the thing I long waited for.
Vladimir, I found the good instruction for RealVGA, and will try to implement it into ROM
Tried it on previous ROM and ended up in chaos on phone good luck is that I made backup before that

yeah but on Treo there is a Hardware buttons for OK and Start, and now there is same 2 buttons ontop... as i said i gusess is will just remap them to someting else.
and they would be finger friendly on 4" screen but not on treo ( whan u already have thous buttons as physical buttons)

ha i was about to download previous version, will wait for these to b uploaded now

problems with tweaking the first welcome screen trying to fix it right now
A lot of changes made from the 1.0 so I hope it will be OK
If everything goes well now it will take a while with my semi-slow ADSL to upload it cca 1 hour
and I think I will not try for a while to implement RealVga because I tried 2x and it keeps ruining the whole ROM... so untill I find a instructions how to cook it ...

edited all first welcome screen settings but still stuck on orange windows screen, perhaps it needs time to install everything I've put into rom, so I'll just leave it,
don't know what to do: upload or not?
I'm going to sleep now I need to get up early and I've spent almost whole day playing with this thing :

Tried to make fast changes and flashing right now... if it goes past orange screen I'll put it to upload if not tomorrow or monday I'll work on that
