iPhone Style App-Launcher? (Flip Apps before opening - like left or right in cube) - Touch Cruise General

Is there an extention for windows mobile or the touch function which launches applications in iphone style with a flip or spin?
My brand new TouchCruise did this once but I don't know why and where.. i think it was in the settings of "HTC Audio Verstärker" (could be "HTC frequency amplifier" or something in englisch version).
Greetz.

Hello!
Maybe you're talking about TouchFlo that is in the HTC Touch.
To activate it, just slide your finger from the bottom (near the HTC logo)
to the middle of the screen. You'll get the 3D cube with icons

I'm not talking about the cube.
The Application flipped like Alt+Tab at Vista.
It rotated fliped away an the next manu came but after hardreset because of tomtom i can't find out what it was but I want to have this for every Application.

Try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369241

Thanks but i don't mean an iPhone lookalike App-Launcher I mean an extencion or something which flips the Applications before starting like in Vista oder Ubuntu or if you go left or right on the Touch Cube.

I understand and am looking for the same thing. All I'd like to be able to do is swipe across the screen (Touch gesture same as used to flip from side to side of TouchFlo cube) in order to switch between active applications.
With the HTC Task Switcher being only available from the Today screen, it takes too many taps to be able to switch from one open application to another. I know that many applications already use the sideways gesture, so a task switcher may first need to be invoked by tap or button press before the gesture is accepted as a command to swap apps.
Is there something out there that makes it simple to switch from one open app to another without having to go to Today screen first?

Try this.

Thanks. I found the AltTab thread in the forums and installed the application. It is a perfect solution for me on my Touch Cruise. Programmed it to the VoiceDial button. Thanks again!

I tried dynamo, but there are some problems.
It keeps showing a duplicate screenshot. Either this is a program that is not running, or it is just plain the wrong screenshot.
Anybody have the same trouble (and found a solution) ?

I use Spb pocket plus, close button mod
It comes with aload of other stuff that i dont use but this function is ace.
Close Button. The standard behavior of Windows Mobile is to minimize the application when the X-button is tapped. That means the application will not be closed and it will stay in the background memory of your Windows Mobile device. Speed up your Pocket PC by closing running programs that takes up a lot of memory. Applications can really be closed with only one tap on the X-button. In addition, task manager menu will appear if you tap-and-hold on X-button. With the task manager you can easily switch between all active applications.

Try looking at PocketUI.

I use SPB PocketPlus since a long time (WM2003SE I think) and the AltTab is on my HTC HomePlugin Launcher but it hasn't this cool Flip mode.
I found where I saw this Flip!! You find this function in the settings of WiFiFoFum!
@MrSmith22: Because of PocketUI I want to have this in Sunrise Touchscreen because I like my Interface with SunriseTheme+TouchFLO+Home Plugin+PocktPlus much more than the "simple" PocketUI Design but the Flip is great!

FULL SCREEN mode all the time ...

I am looking for advice here, somewhat of a newbie.
I want to run all of WM6 with the top start menu hidden and the bottom menu bar hidden (like full screen mode in IE). When you press a button these bars re-appear.
Does and application or hack like this exist ?

This is an easy one. In IE, tap menu/view/full screen. The top & bottom bars are gone. Tap/hold/full screen on the touch screen to go back.

Oooops, sorry I mis-read the thread. Good ?
Yeah, I am hoping to do this with all of WM6 in general.
I checked into Wisbar but am unconvinced this is the right app.
I'm in the same boat, did you end up figuring something out?
look up vijay555, he has a full screen mod. basically changes the top and bottom bar size. but to go back , you have to go into the program and change the values again. i don't have the know how, but i would think that someone could write a mortscript to run specific values, one for full screen and regular,.
Somebody asked me about this and I've reposted some new screenshots a couple of times today. Have a look here, regarding whether it was possible to make Word and Excel full screen.
I've written VJToggleToday II Alpha, which it surprises me that people are still using as it is so crippled. However, that app will hide the Start Bar and softkeys for most purposes. However, unless you intend to replace the start bar with an alternative, as I've done here:

}

this can be more of a pain in the butt then just living with the normal start bar (as you have difficulty accessing the start bar, when you remove the start bar, although see VJKeyPress for an alternative route)
In any event, VJToggleToday has been written from the ground up as VJToggleToday IV, but this is unreleased right now. Version IV will not have the above problem - the bars will reappear when you want them to, automatically.
For a more effective solution, VJSihaya is where I'm really going, but that's not released yet [if ever!]. These are some screenshots for that:

And screenshots in Pooh-QVGA on my HTC Touch. I can't wait until VGA is available across the board, VJSihaya looks a damn sight better in VGA and beyond.
And just one more because I love this girl!
V
PS It might not be apparent, but those are native screenshots. VJSihaya will remove the soft keys and relocate their functionality to a menu available when clicking the icon (top left of each window). VJToggleToday IV Redux is being used to hide the native start bar (at the top). The start menu continues to be accessible from VJSihaya's icons when it is otherwise hidden.

Have you thought of a bar like the Mac has at the bottom that reappears when you move closer to the bottom of the screen? I know we don't have a mouse movement but what if we run the stylus near the bottom of the screen?
Entirely possible, but for what purpose? For the soft keys or the start bar?
VJToggleToday IV hides the star bar completely or almost completely, optionally, but only on the Today screen. When you click away to another app, the start bar is there in its ugly ass normal position, optionally. I generally keep it hidden and replaced, as in my screen shot above.
The soft keys are typically intergral to use of most apps, so in the current incarnation of Windows Mobile, you shouldn't really hide them completely, so VJToggleToday IV gives you the option to do so, but it's generally not advised, except on the Today screen.
However, future versions of something like VJToggleToday will have a much more invasive cosmetic re-jigging of the standard Windows Mobile interface, to get rid of start bars and soft keys for a much better integrated solution.

For me it would be for all the shortcuts to applications, instead of cubes turning, and once it is visible, it could scroll sideways with arrows on each end. (an animated start bar I guess...)

It edits the registry, so if you have plugin order in your xml you will probably need to remove it. That way plugin order will come from reg, where this app does its magic.
I just wanted to point out that I have pretty much confirmed this works on the T-Mobile Shadow with the Shadow's Neo (pre-WM 6.1) interface as well!

Probably there's a limit set by CHome but I'm pretty sure that you'll be tired of flipping through all the pages before reaching the limit
I think that the limit is 12.

On my Excalibur using Rickswatt 6.1 ROM, he has included CApplications with 20 pages without problem. But it could be different on you device.
works on typhoon too
It's working on my Typhoon (Aleut's WM6.1 for Typhoon/Feeler/Amadeus pre [1.3])
working almost perfectly on my Blackjack with Da_G's WM6.1 ROM.
the one problem i have is a program crash when using the contact dialer template. i pick the contact, choose to enable/disable SMS, and then crash. the app and link templates are working OK.
not a huge problem. although it would be nice if someone could let me know the manual command to map SMS to softkey 2. that's the only thing i'm looking for.
Love the program. Quick question: I run the java version of gmail through esmertec jbed. I used the applications launcher template in chome configurator to create a homescreen shortcut to run gmail. However, when i launch the application via the shortcut, it simply opens jbed and from there I have to launch the gmail application manually. The start menu shortcut I created a long time ago uses the exact same command line ("\windows\jbed.exe" -run s3_) works perfectly and opens gmail directly.
Has anybody seen this issue and figured out the solution? Thanks in advance.
How to activate & use cMyFaves?
tlogix,
Thanks for this wonderful application!
It certainly takes the pain out of manually configuring the .xml home file!
Can you help me figure out how to use cMyFaves?
I've seen screenshots suggesting that it's liken to the HTC Home Favorite Contacts dialer.
But, I could never get it to show up in the Home screen of my Cingular 3100 running Erofich's WM6.1 Standard.
Is there something lacking in the OS that I need to include?
Please advise me.
Thanks!

Help HTC Touch Pro II wm 6.5

Hello,
I've used to have the MDA Vario III (htc tytn II) with wm 6.1
Now I have the MDA Vario V (htc touch pro 2) with wm 6.5, but I can't get used to it.
At first I really miss the opportunity for changing the soft key buttons (in the left and right at the bottom). I've already donwloade an app, but i doesn't seems to work in HTC sense.
And also want to turn off that annoying touch keyboard (does anybody know how)
I also want the HTC home app back from wm6.1 (but when I install the app I have to do a HARD reset")
And then HTC sense. It's totally not adjustable and so borring. At your home screem you have the right soft key called internet. I want it to open opera 10 beta, but it only opens the standard internet feature which htc has installed.
I've tried SPB shell but that doesn't also work proparly, when i soft reset of restart the phone it doesnt show, it shows htc sense. I have to activate it first in settings.
ALso I've looked a bit around on google and this site, but I really don't get it how to change the skins and what touchflow is, or manilla.
Can anybody explain it to me.
Or can anybody gove me tips to adjust my phone so that I can adjust it to my personal needs.
I thanl you in anticipation, and sorry for my nad English
ps. Is it possible to rotate your screen by using your g-sensor? like the N-97?
TouchFlo/Manila is another name for HTC Sense. If you want Mobile Shell, you should uncheck TouchFlo (or whatever it is called) in Settings>Home>Items, then it should start automatically after a soft-reset.
For other home screen alternatives (Androkkid, iPhoneToday etc.) look in the Dev&Hacking forums (Windows Mobile Applications and Games), for skins and themes look in the Windows Mobile themes section, for device specific things look in the Rhodium (=Touch Pro2) section .
@livven
Is it possible to adjust the buttons in htc sense or something which works with mannilla?
and how do I install such another skinn?
I thank you in anticiaption
Just some custom slider icons or what do you mean? There are many more of these, use the search !
I want a totall different HTC home
This must be shown
Time, agenda and messages, I also want a something like programs in sense
And the internet button of hts sense must bechanged in opera 10. And I wan't the screem lock bar back again in the screem
like the first picture in your link.
You see a clock, four icons opera-messages-explorer - (hope they work)
And then you have the different tabs, I search something liek that but I don't know where to find and how to install.
And the buttons must be on the left opera 10 beta and on the right wmplayer

something like this
You could use iPhoneToday (mirror if you can't download from RapidShare) for launching apps and TodayAgenda for appointments and tasks.
Also, you can try out S2U2 (Slide to Unlock 2), which adds a customizable lock screen with appointments.
I know S2U2, i don't like the porgramm. also I don't like the Iphone look, if I liked it I should have bought an Iphone.
I want to know how to adjust my home screem with the buttons, and how to install al those skin which are shown here.
First of all, demanding is not how it works. If you want to know something, ask politely and thank people for any answer .
Also, you should've checked out my links. You said you want an agenda - you can get this with S2U2 or TodayAgenda. And iPhoneToday can provide you with information about new messages, and also display icons to launch apps - for example Opera Mobile. If you want other things, you can also search for Androkkid or look on freewarepocketpc.net.

[?] How to remove the TitleBarList in the new 6.5.3 taskbar?

Dear Friends,
Same here. Hope someone finds a registry trick for that... Lets wait...
Best Reagrds...
Same "problem" here. If you install wisbar advance some buttons work, but others will show up this stupid menu
Use Taskbar Launcher to redefine what will be launched by tapping the taskbar. (You can define it for 3 regions: left, center and right) I suggest you set the left and right regions to 0 (nothing will be launched) and the center to launch the notificationmanager
I'm not with a wm6.5.x rom for now, but i think it has something to do with magnifier no ?
Try this : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\MAGNIFIER]
"Enable"=dword:0
Or maybe in Bsbtweaks : HTC Magnifier line
i hate the "TitleBarList" but i did not found anything under registry to remove it ...so, i'm back to wm6.5

not the only.. the other reason i wrote it under "position fix wm 6.5.x" :
i have trouble with wm6.5.x when installing programs... i tried to install pocket player 5.3.5.. when finished the installation, have to press OK button in the right angle, on top, but is not visible (hidden under the small clock) and can not touch it, as there is the titlebarlist from wm6.5.x (an other thing that i hate) .. or other programs have a button to the right corner, to the bottom, hidden by the large bottom bar.. it is any solution to automaticaly resize the windows of the programs to the size of wm6.5.x ?
Yes the ok button on the top right corner does not work anymore with 6.5.3. I reallydoubt that removing the titlebar will fix the OK button problem.
Here is a very simple fix: you will find that with this kind of app, the physical "back arrow" button of you HD2 does the trick...
that one was just an example of one software that i remember the position of the buttons from previous installation... but when i install new programs, always the trick with back arrow does the trick, even if the button is, for example, at the bottom ?
From what I know, there are two different way to close apps depending on how it has been coded.
The first type is the "cross button" that is top right on 6.5. For this type of the cross is on bottom right of the screen with 6.5.x.
The second type is the "ok button" that used to be on top right of the screen. These apps are generally old ones with WM6 menu style. For some reason (I guess MFC calls have been modified on 6.5.x) the ok button does not appear anymore and the cross button does not appear. For these apps, pressing the physical "back arrow" button works.
I do not know any application with a close button at the bottom. If this is the case, it is a non-standard MFC call and the button should be there even with 6.5.x. Post a picture if you have one to understand the issue you have.
sorry, but i don't have anymore wm6.5.x.. i'm back to wm6.5 (dutty 2.3).. i am still waiting an solution to get back the top right OK and to remove the top titlebar(for this one i understood that was told by appelfap)
any mod to remove the top right clock? maybe in this way the OK became visible?
yes, this Titlebarlist is really annoying. A better work-around as using this taskbar launcher (which looks 2 ugly for me - sorry!) is Arkswitch
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618300
and the Dust skin
Then go to Menu -> Activation Field and boost the field from top left to right until the beginning of the clock... et voilà: no Titlebar if you tap on the Taskbar.
Also advantage with this solution: You can use a skinned alterantive Taskbar like this from MysticGenius...
Perhaps someone knows how to cook-out these Titlebar from the WM6.5.3 SYS???

Best tweaks for you touch pro with sense 2.1!

Okay this is how i have configured my touch pro and its the best combination i can find.
Goals: speed (lag=fail in my opinion)
eye candy (has to look half decent for friends)
ease of use (when i want to use my phone i don't want a math problem)
has to work (screens half gone or keyboard functions that don't work=fail)
What you need:
Energy rom sense 2.1/21xxx series
Vibro
NaviComputer
Anuvadak
IMulator
AudioRoute
Skype for windows mobile
Screen Off
Why:
Energy ROM for fuze simply the best- but why sense 2.1 and 21xxx series? this is because although sense 2.1 dose have all the features of 2.5 its much snappier and no lag, but keyboard layout is better, and the 21xxx series because the big soft keys cause so many graphical glitches for me.
Vibro lets you tell your phone how to vibrate for each event (you make pattens)
NaviComputer is an offline gps solution no 3g, no data no problem
Anuvadak is a slick app that uses Google translate to translate on the fly[with voice]!
IMulator is a slick music player for you phone mimics ipod interface
AudioRoute is key in using skype on the fuze makes sure the audio is outputed to your head phones and no speaker phone
skype mobile i snatched this literally a few days before they stopped development. (dose need audio route to work properly but still real nice)
Screen Off lets you turn you screen off (saving huge battery life) while keeping wi-fi on
___________________________________________________________________
So whats it look like:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Explanation for why its like that:
1.The top and bottom windows bar changed to slick black ones
This is your you change it:
start-->settings-->today-->Energyrom transp softkey--->OK[top right]
2.The tabs, i find this combination = best performance and least glitches
Go to settings on the bar(the wheel thing) and click customize tabs un-click all besides for the one i have click[you can have weather but wasnt accurate for me] and have them in the order i have them in.
3. Program tab next to the right this is so a quickslide to the left can give you all your porgams
I use 20 programs with 4 collums as it works both in portrait and landscape mode nicely and dosnt caused lag(too many will even if its empty)
to change this go to
start-->tools-->program tab[it looks like a folder almost]
4. Program tab icons
i have them in this order for how often i use them the only key here is the top right corner as messaging this is so i can read texts with out sliding the keyboad out and clicking text message button the the keyboard
also i have all the geeky and apps i only use sometimes at the very bottom
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After installing and arranging everything time to change the settings!
First open total commander in the start menu and go to the root or top of your device and click on windows
than scroll down to startup click and then delete Audio Route from this folder[stops audio route from starting up when u turn your phone on can be annoying]
next is to configure Vibro
click on video CFG and click phone and change the vibration pattern so when you get a call on vibrate your phone vibrates in a pattern and not like a a toy your ex-girlfriend has lol
if you want to clean up you start page like i did use total commander
go to the root of the phone and click on the windows folder
windows-->start menu--> than highlight what you dont want and move it into the tools folder
Explore the settings folders on the phone to change ring tone shortcuts and camera settings and notification settings for your liking!
I have developed NONE not even an icon of software all the credit deserves to go to each party for their work, just here to help you enjoy their work
If anyone has anything they do that they like more feel free to share
