The bug with buttons is very simple
go to registry key
\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\
and add key "Keys", then go to
\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\
and add key "40C1", "40C2", "40C3" and "40C4"

As a workaround extract the attachment into DEV\OEM\ and rebuild. I compiled it for the German AKU2.0 ROM.

IIWPO integrated into Himalaya ROM
Bepe offers us the great option to integrate this well-known theft protection into our ROMs.
Just extract the attachment into DEV/OEM. Open 97bd8b8c-5fe5-4bb1-8ede-f55865d7baf8.rgu with wordpad. Put in your name as you will enter it in the 'Owner Information' as well as a MSISDN to where short message should be sent in case somebody modifies the 'Owner Information'. Rebuild.
Works as is only on German devices. Modify '\Windows\Autostart' in initflashfiles.txt to appropriate folder name of your language (e.g. '\Windows\Startup' in WWE).

Universal will by last because of the VGA resources (those make thinks difficult).

I had dump rom for Wizard , it used mamaich's tools . if I am right just replace each files for Himalaya right ps which rom you want for base ?

hi,Bebe,, very interesting and i am trying to make CHS 2.2 now.
all of them are perfect!
*Extract the DEV folder
*Extract one ROM to DEV
*Extract one OS to DEV
*Extract one LOC to DEV
*Extract all OEM Packages you need to OEM
*Run CreateOS.exe and click the button
*Run CreateROM.bat
and created the ROM nk.nbf!
Great! but this time i didnt make OEM addtional coz my initial test.
The i tried to Flash on to my Himlaya, now runnning
2.01a64MB WWE,
But when try to Flash,,country ID error was happen,
Before it never happen to me.
So i tried to change Country ID but still error.
Then tried to Flash another CHS ROM on to mine,
it can done.
Used same upgrade utility.
Do you have any idea why i can not flash?

then came to "Screen Setting& Copy write (C)1996-2005" with sound.
After that, Stylus and Hard Button didint work,
so can not go ahead from this screen! :lol:

but i have sometimes that the pda hang and the are no way only the reset to solve it

My device now will be recognized as "PocketPC USB Sync" when connected via USB. That ´s the way WM2003 did it. It´s faster and more reliable than the WM2005 method via netwotk connection "Windows Mobile-based Device" and TCP/IP. Great, how did you manage that?

Just loaded a copy of TomTom 6 to my device, the software runs fine but it turns off the backlight as soon as it loads and I can only see it in the sunlight! Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Try this!
I had the same problem.
Copy it over to the existing EXE. It worked for me!
Make sure you make a copy of the original file just incase it doesn't work and you need to restore it.
There are many post about this try to search!
I have done it by adapting the programm with a hex-editor. This is also discribed in many posts.

Just loaded the file provided by spoonfork, caused the phone to lock up for some reason but a reset got it going again - and I can now find my way home without using a torch!

I loaded the latest 6.03 TomTom6 and didn't have to bother with this patch. Was having trouble with the old tomtom6 i was running, just reseting my device randomly and running slow.
does it work for tom tom 5.21 ? I have the same problem too...

Good luck with your endeavours to make an office 2007 cab. I heard this isnt possible because it has to be cooked into the rom....

Ya the only way of it working is to cook as you can not override the old office!!! Or you would have two different offices on your phone!
Well, even when i do cook it into the rom it gives me the cert issue. Any ideas? And the sad part is, when i cook it into the rom, OneNote works perfectly without error. LOL. I must be missing something.

Everything except onenote? that's really strange. I have imported mun rom's office package into faria latest real thing with no problem, and needless to say on mun's rom it's also working fine. If your moving the package to another rom dump the only thing that comes to mind is to make sure that you update/replace all office files. Another thing is the office suite opening at all, or does it give you the security warning and exit?

What if you cooked your rom without office, could you install it to the SD card?! Save space in your rom cooking, and save storage in your device!
I am waiting to flash my rom, but I am gonna try this. And yes I will pull the package from the ROM.
Oem Files Working On Wizard
Here you have all the files for Office 2007 mobile, tested and working on my Wizard (English), just copy EVERYTHING on \Windows and reset, if you can make me a cab installer will be perfect.... Enjoy and chears!!!

Your ppt.exe is only 26.1 KB.
Same as excel and word mobile.
The real binaries (pword.exe etc.) are missing. It just uses the old Office binaries. So no, it is not Office 2007...

If you install this cab it fixes the problem. I "lifted" it from the Hermes thread, and it works on my patched together rom. I haven't decoded the cab, but I know you're good at it, so...

So wait, can Office 2007 be installed WITHOUT cooking?
I have extracted and packed the ezinput files from WWE Asia ROM, which has Chinese input support. I did this in preparation for my custom ROM flash, since most, if not all, of the cooked ROM are based on Europe/UK WWE and therefore the cooked ezinput would not have the Chinese support.
I've yet to try this on any cooked ROM, so if anybody can try and see if this works I would be most appreciated
NOTE: I've taken down the CAB because it's not working so it's back to drawing board for me.

I've been looking for it for a long long time ago...
but i cant find any workable CAB of it.
so thats why i still keep my LEO as default 1.48 ROM..

I *think* I might have found the problem but I need to flash a custom ROM to test it. If anybody is game to try it on their custom ROM, please pm me your email address and I'll send you the CAB. The reason why I'm not publishing it here is because it might cause you to hard reset your phone if it didn't work out (as happen to one of the 'early adopter' user)

WARNING: uniinstalling this CAB might require your device to be hard reset. I suspect it's because of the default SIP being removed when the CAB is being uninstalled. But I don't have a custom ROM to test, so if you don't mind the risk, I would appreciate your help in testing.

I volunteer to try your cab, and report back soon!
I've tried it, but it didn't work. when inputting sms contact names, no name suggestions available. and the Pin Yin didn't work at all. And when I tried to uninstall and reset the device, the whole device couldn't boot, I was forced to hard reset my HD2.

I tried it on PDAVIET V05 28014
I can call it out but the hand writing does not show the line when you draw on the screen, when using the 筆畫 it just show the E T U D G instead of chinese.
ok so it looks like I really have to use a custom ROM to test myself, as my fear is that the existing registry in the pure english rom conflicts with the CAB.
this will take awhile unless somebody adventurous could trace the original ezinput registry and identify any potential conflict to the chinese input. (but doing so will also mean you will need to hard reset ur device after the troubleshooting)

Can you create a tutial or CAB for LEO custom ROMs (like Dutty's, Xanny's ......) to add Asia support? (just capable of viewing, not UI localized)
You can try to analyse the cabs from Lingvosoft, as they offer asia input keyboards.
I am using their Japanese Keyboard. This will show up the keyboard.
But the keyboard alone is not enough, you need copy a chinese font from your desktop windows to the windows\fonts folder on your Leo.
Then you will have to change the standard font in HTC manilla or Windows 6.5 if you want to be able to display the characters in the main applications (unless that application offers font selection).
I have attached the Chinese and Japanese keyboard cabs, as well as the Chinese font (ming true type font). Those are from the trial version of their translation suit, but I think the keyboards don't require a license (except for use in the translation application, then they get barred).

sorry to say that my voluntary offer ends there. The problem is if there is a problem, I cannot uninstall it and revert to previous state, and also, worse is, the entire rom couldn't start. I can't take too much trouble to try it unless it can be reverted easily.

Hi all!
I am actually trying to cook my first ROM for my Topaz, and I'm encountering several difficulties . Actually, my biggest problem for the moment is about the EXT packages.
First, I need to have something clarified : EXT packages depend on the device you are using, right? So for example, you can't use the same packages on both a TP2 and a Topaz.
Because then, I can't find the latest packages released for the Topaz, so what am I supposed to do to get them? How do the chefs do to find theirs?
Just for precision, I'm using visual osKitchen.

But I 'm still blocked, I couldn't find any recent EXT packages for the Topaz. Is there a place where they are uploaded and where I could download them? Or is there another way to find them?
The only package I have is the one I get when I imported the last official ROM from HTC, and oskitchen won't allow me to import cooked ROMs, I get an error... (which I actually find quite normal, it would be like copying the other chefs' work, and I don't want that either)
And from what is written on most chefs' ROMs presentation pages, I can see that my EXT package is already quite outdated.
