Message and Alert Vibrating - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Is there a means to set how my device vibrates for different alerts? For example, when I recieve a text message and it is set to vibrate, it rumble 3 times for about a second each. When I receive a phone call, it vibrates constantly for about 5-6 seconds. So, is there a way within Windows Mobile, like a registry edit or with third party program, to manage the wibrate mechanism?

You can set the lights and vibration in Windows Mobile from Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Sounds & Notifications -> Notifications.
Some of the other forum users may have better options for you using 3rd party programs.

I also would like to know this. I have tried many things, I would rather not download another app, but do a registry edit to fix this constant vibrate issue. Does anyone know the registry edit to fix the long vibration when receiving text messages?

Vibration error - need help!

Hi!
My phone does not vibrate when I have an incoming call. It's set to vibrate in the settings menu (actually, you can't even turn this feature off), and it vibrates normally for incoming sms, for reminder, or anything else.
I've been also searching the registry for some settings, but couldn't find any that are related to this feature.
Also, this error occurs only when my phone is set to loud mode - when it's set to vibrate only, there's no problem. (it should vibrate in all circumstances - it did, but now for cca. 1 month, I'm having this problem)
I have a Samsung Omnia and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
Help please?
Thanks

[Q] How do I get vibration alerts?

My ringer is usually off and I can't keep looking at my screen (e.g., for NoLED) when I'm with patients. I've been unable to get vibration notifications of incoming text messages, although as far as I can tell I've selected everything to do with vibration in Settings.
Surely there's a way to get this that I'm missing.
in the sound settings, select vibrate and choose an option like vibrate only in silent mode or always. in the messages app, choose settings and select vibrate. choose vibrate only in silent mode or always

Right. I've done that (Vibrate Always in both Settings and Messaging), yet it doesn't vibrate for anything except calls.
be certain that notifications are enabled in the messaging app.
there was a similar problem on a couple htc phones i had. i used a program from the market called 'sound manager', i believe it was. then i set everything the way i wanted it, did a test and vibrate worked. then when i deleted the sound manager app the settings stuck and my messages still alerted via vibration. good luck.
I'm starting to think this might be a Gingerbread bug, man, cuz I don't get vibrations on text either
I used to think it was CM7 but I have the same problem on stock.

How can I turn off E-Mail sound notifications

Without losing txt message sound notification? Email keeps waking me up at night and my only solution has been to turn down notification volume all the way down but then I also lose text sounds. Anyone?
I think you'll find it in your email "Account Settings" > "Notification Settings"... I think its set up like this so you can have different (or no) sounds for different email accounts.
Hope this helps

[Q] How can I change the vibration length for notifications?

I seriously tried everything, but I can't change the vibration length for notifications. The result is that for EVERY Email, SMS, Facebook message, you name it, I get a 3 second long vibration that is driving me nuts.
No matter what I do, the vibration length stays the same. I can set the intensity to lower, but the length stays the same. I defined my own vibration pattern as well, but that only works for calls, it does not work for everything else (=notifications). WHY is it so difficult to just set the vibration length to 0.5 seconds? This is the worst phone I have ever owned, honestly
Go setting ...under sound and notifications...there should be vibration intensity. If u hate vibration...personally just turn it off....i did mine..and save battery too.
Sent from my SM-N915G using XDA Free mobile app
Like I said, I don't want to change how strong the vibration is, I want to change how LONG it vibrates. Right now it vibrates for 3 full seconds for every goddamn notification. This is the worst and most annoying thing I have EVER experienced with a phone.
I need vibration in general so I notice when I get a new message etc. but I don't need my phone to vibrate 3 FULL seconds for every single text message, hangouts message, facebook comment etc. If I get several of these at once (e.g. 3 text messages in a row), then my phone keeps vibrating for 9 seconds!
So is this not possible at all, or am I having some weird bug? I can't believe anyone would use this phone like this, it literally vibrates for 3 full seconds for every stupid notification (like the 'basic call' notification setting, but it stays on that pattern even after I change it to 'knock knock' for example)

How to disable email vibrate notification?

Is it possible to disable the vibrate notification when receiving e-mails (using the stock e-mail app)? I want the visual icon to show up in the notification bar with no sound, just NOT vibrate. I want to keep the vibrate notifications for MMS, calls, etc..just not e-mails. This seems like a simple request but I can't seem to figure it out.
If its anything like the Gmail app then open up settings, inside settings, click on your Address [email protected], Then its inside there...
( I don't use the email app, sorry.. just a thought )
Settings --> General --> Notifications --> Select corresponding account --> UNcheck "Vibration" (unchecked by default for me)

Thanks for your response. The "vibration" option is grey so I can't change it. It is off by default anyways, but it still vibrates.
This is driving me crazy. Any recommendations for a different email app?
Open email. Touch 3 dots in upper right hand corner. Touch settings. Open notifications. Select email account . Turn off vibration.

If you're like me and always keep your phone on vibrate, this is actually a far more annoying issue than you would imagine. (The same fix can be used for Google Hangouts.)
If vibrate is not currently enabled under notifications and your phone keeps vibrating at you, it's actually because of your notification sound. If you change the notification sound to "Silent", your phone will no longer vibrate.

Yes, I always keep my phone on vibrate. If I switch it to silent, wouldn't that disable the vibrate from sms and calls?
No, those will still vibrate. You don't want to switch the ring tone settings, just the notification sound for your email. Go into settings, notifications, and then for the notification sound select "Silent".
