Hrmm, not sure if this is the right place..but
Can you add more alarms to the windows alarms? I looked in the registry and saw there were keys for alarms 0-2 so i tried adding a 3'd key copying all the values to see if that would add another one...
I'd prefer not to have to pay for something the phone does already and seems to be easily improved upon, the only thing i dislike is you turn the volume down the alarm volume is affected...crazy micrsoft programmers!
try SPB TIME.
i really their alarm, even if u set your phone to virbate, the alarm still rings! dont quote me on it, it works on me sometime since i havnt fully test it. haha
Hrmm, well i had a go of SPB Time, but i have to say i find its a bit much, and its just not simple enough for what i wanted...
on a simular note, Does anyone know how the alarm feature works? does it just call up a file to run when the alarm runs?
I want to understand why at a certain time the alarm sounds, I realise this proberbly sounds silly, but i'm not quite sure how it works, as far as i can tell there isn't an alarm program constantly running.
basically I was wondering, if the alarm noticiation thing is just an exe running to sound the alarm, could i just put a dummy alarm in to change the volume to max just before the alarm sounds so i don't have to worry about putting it on silent?

Is it just me or do the alarm clock on this thing really blow? It repeats once every 5 min with some odd sound and that's it, I won't wake up. I need something that starts low and increases for example. Am I checking wrong when I goto Clock and Alarm
No you're not I think, much trouble about that clock including the fact that it won't sound loud if the phone is in vibrate mode - these kinds of alarms (not event alarms) should sound anyway...

For the increasing sound, you can use a custom soundfile, that's long & loud enough to wake you up...
As for the vibrating mode I can only think of a workaround... recently 1 saw a program that switches sound profiles automatically (don't ask I don't remember the name). You could set it to switch to "Loud" before the alarm sounds...
Hi all
I searched high and low for a tweak or add-on that would help me with this. If a sceduled task or appointment starts and the alarm goes off I might just not be in the room (or maybe in this very second there was a loud train passing by). With my good old Palm 105 that had been no problem because 5 minutes later the alarm would ring again until dismissed.
Only I found apps that reapeat alarms BUT REPLACE working with WM5 Schedule Task etc. I cant do that. I just want the alarm to repeat...
Anyone help me on this please?
Cheers,
Rogurt
I just returned my phone and got a new one because of dust under the screen, and something seems different.
I'm setting up the alarms on the new phone and it seems like some settings are different. I seem to recall being able to set different sounds for each alarm, different volume levels for each alarm, etc.
On this new phone, I only get 5 options.
The time of the alarm
Description
Alarm Sound
Repeat
Vibrate (checkbox)
Can others check their alarms?
Is there a setting I need to change or something to install to get those other features back? Or am I imagining this? I swear I had other options.

These are the same settings I have in my alarm. But you can create multiple alarms and create separate settings for each alarm..
Been using the alarm function with no problems.......until recently! I woke up half an hour late for work the other day, went to check my phone wondering why the alarm hadn't gone off but the screen was flashing "SNOOZE " & "DISMISS" So the alarm was working but the sounds weren't and i had turned off the vibrate option because I hate that sound it makes.
I go into the alarm sound menu and none of them play, I go into the ringtones and they work fine. Same with message tones and music.
The sound options were all set correctly, alarm volume set to max. Silent mode wasn't the problem.
After a reboot the alarm sounds played again.
Anyone else had this problem?

Just had the exact same thing happen to me this morning. This is the second time it has happened. I had also received an SMS before my alarm was supposed to go off, and it vibrated instead of playing my notification sound (even though I did not have it on vibrate only mode). Very, very annoying. Bring on root+CM7!!!
If you have any task killers, remove them.
I know many of the task killers will do this to your clock.
Thanks pr0x2, but I am running only the stock Sense task killer.
The problem may with the ringer. otherwise, go to settings, find sound and select volume. you may have set the specific volume to min. increase the alarm volume in that try.
Anyone else have issues with the alarm volume randomly dropping down to silent? I feel like only a bank would need a silent alarm, why is this even a feature on phones? If you don't want the alarm, turn it off!
I usually try to check it at night, but I kinda feel like the setting should stick and I shouldn't have to worry about it. I am using Timely, and even when I test the alarm volume in the app - the system settings override. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Nope. I use the alarm daily and it has been the same volume every morning.
sounds like you have something overriding the alarm volume. ive never had a problem with the volume on my alarms, and it is its own slider (separate from ringer and notifications and media)
