As many of you may already noticed, there are already some reports on getting ICR (call recording) working on some models and ROM versions; for example, Touch HD, Kaiser and Raphael (CDMA-specific thread HERE; reported success with for example the new 5.05 leaked WWE ROM?)
Please post your results (phone model + exact ROM version [preferably with a link to the ROM cooker, if it’s a cooked ROM] + what you installed) in this thread; I’ll try to maintain a full compatibility list based on your input. Make absolute sure you only post anything if you’re 100% certain both parties are recorded and it’s not sound bleeding that makes the other party hearable. (The easiest way of making sure this isn’t the case is either turning down the volume or using a Bluetooth headset – then, the microphone of your handset won’t pick up anything from the other party.)

It does not affect the ability to use a 3rd party app if you want, just gives you extra ease so you dont have to load any new programs up when you are in a call. On my HTC Universal running Tomal 8.5 WM 6.1 (tested with the plain registry import, the original CAB file linked to in the first post of the Kaiser thread and Monx’s repack), it doesn’t work. The second did show up the “Record conversation” menu item while talking; the third didn’t at all. Nevertheless, nothing resulted in recording the other party, other than the sound bleeding from the speaker.

Has anyone tested this on a Mogul/Titan? I have one and I would LOVE to be able to record calls!!!

You'll need a hack to do this (to reroute the audio output) - see the dedicated threads (and my article in the Wiki).

If you installed to 2_Way_Recording cab then you need to use a 3rd party program such as Voice Recorder or Vito Audio Notes to record the conversation. Audio Notes is better since you can set it to automatically record all conversations. I think it drains the battery a bit though so I took it off auto and linked it to a hardware button so I can record only the conversations I need to quickly.
Doesn't work on a Sprint TP with a stock rom (11/11/08 - 1.03.651.4).
Just installing the cab doesn't record the other party (faint sound, most likely coming through the mic).
Wavedev.dll seems to be incompatible with this rom - recording of any kind doesn't work.

Basically it's very hard to find downloads that work on the O2 version, I've found a few cabs on here like Manillla 2 (weather and Youtube don't work like the Touch version) opera 9.5 beta, Total commander, Tom Tom 6 don't use Tom Tom 7 aka navigator as can only find one city map that works.
Tried various ROM's for Kaiser & TyTn II which all won't flash, the just tease me into thinking the process will complete (get to tri colour screen then error appears on PC when sync).
Only the offical wm6.1 from O2 has worked on my PDA
Can anyone point me in the right direction with stuff for a O2 Stellar model that's known to work.......cabs, TouchFlo, Cube etc

All the 6.5 ROM's on here will flash to any Kaiser (Tilt, TyTN 2, Stellar, whatever).
Sound's like you don't have Hard SPL. Follow mskip's tutorial for flashing and choose a 6.5 ROM to flash.
Most of the newer CAB's won't work on the old build that O2's 6.1 ROM update is based on. Try one of the latest cooked ROM's and then try again.

I've already the same issue with my Polaris / Orbit 2.
It worked for many months perfectly but then sometimes the SIM detection was unsucessful and lateron the SIM access was completely lost. In that time I used my Polaris with the original O2 ROM with WM6.
After deciding to send it to O2 in case of warranty I installed the new O2 WM6.1 Update and it worked properly for nearly 4 weeks. Then this issue came back.
Several soft- and hardresets has make me unsure what to do. Because sometimes it works, sometimes not. For me it is a clear sign for a software issue, not for a hardware defect. In case of a hardware defect, it might be completely have lost the SIM access, and not only partially.
I've installed the following programs:
SPB MobileShell 3.5, SPB Diary & Phone Suite, SPB Backup, MS Voice Command, PCM Keyboard, PCM Image Viewer, S2U2, MS .NET 3.5, TT7
ROM: 3.13.207.0 GER
Radio: 1.59.42.15
Does anybody knows a solotion forthis issue?
Perhaps a bug-free radio ROM? I actually don't want to flash an other ROM because of the warranty of the device.
Next year we can talk about "quick and dirty tuning".....

i doubt its for the newest devices like the HD2. pm me if i'm wrong, so i can give it a crack.
that is the site i got the program from, i believe. i would love for someone to take a look at this prog and see if it can be modified to include the HD2 and newer HTC model phones. i would do it myself, but im not good at programming and wouldnt know where to begin. from my limited knowledge base, it would seem that the same procedure for the phone models listed above would work for the HD2 and newer phones also. this prog has RUU's that flash the info necessary to complete the sim unlock from what i read. although i could be mistaken and just viewing this from the wrong perspective. any help from someone familiar with app or prog creating/modifying would be tremendously appreciated.
