I have been grappling with the problem of storage for a while. When I had a XDA II I was thinking of getting a CF USB Host card/Sleeve/Portable HD but stuck to SD cards. I had to return a 2GB SD card a while back and was going to replace it with a 4GB card when they became cheaper but I came across an interesting device that I think has solved my storage problem (until PDA's come with high-capacity HDs). It's a Vosonic VP 6230 http://www.vosonic.com/index.php?php_mode=spec&php_itemid=36 . It works like an image-tank but unlike other image tanks you can copy from the HD to a SD card. So if you are going on a trip you can copy say movies to the SD card when you want to watch them rather than having to bring along a laptop. It also plays music/videos/photos itself but's it's not a great media player. Also you can charge it through the USB cable. ~£240 for 80GB model.
Is there any PPC with support for the new 8GB SD cards out there?

hello,
I have a htc3600 WM5 original microSD 4gb installed and it works for months.
I mounted a 8gb microSD but it read 3.6gb..
Solution?
ho un htc3600 wm5 originale con microsd da 4gb montata e funziona da mesi.
Ho montato una microsd da 8gb ma il pda ne legge 3.6gb
WM5 does not recognize sdhc cards. I am assuming you used a 4gb (non sdhc) before. You need to upgrade to WM6. Also sandisk cards come HIGHLY recommended. Personally I use a sandisk 8 gb microsdhc card, no problem. I had a generic brand 2 gb minisd card and it won't work on my trinity. Hope this helps.
i use a Sandisk 8Gb card in my Trinity (currently WM 6.5 but 6.1 as well) and it worked fine for about a month. Suddenly windows media lost all music on the card and will not update the library. If go to open file in windows media I can play all the music, just queue it up and away it goes, but if i try and save a playlist it says file not found.
My phone used to do this when i had a 2Gb card but then i flashed to 6.1 and started using a 8Gb and it sorted it self out then overnight it developed the same issue.
Any thoughts?

Do you use any memory cards adapter?
I have a HTC Fuze and a 32 gb SD micro card which works. I'm just wondering what type of files does the songs and movies have to be, to be able to watch it on my Fuze.
I wouldn't mind trying GTA:SA but the game size is pretty big; I was wondering if I could play it off a MicroSD (plugged in via a Meenova MicroSD reader).
