If your not the second poster by chance, you reply the same useless garbage that the 5 previous mod wannabess just posted. every single mis posted thread, every freakin one of them. this is hilarious.. Every thread i read that is questionable about location, you have to chime in and tell it. Do you think the mods need or even want your help? Do you not think they got the message already? I have your fix to all GPS issues.
NOTE: You will need to repeat this every time you flash a NEW ROM. You only need to do this ONCE per rom.
NOTE: If you GPS works DO NOT DO THIS!
Step A) Download and install : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2&feature=search_result
Step B) Run it
Step C) Clear AGPS data.
Step D) Let the gps status LOCK! Make sure NOT to skip this step. Let it do a FULL lock.
Step E) Go into maps and profit.

Um - that means it's not a fix. A patch/workaround/method/etc. might be a better term. Not saying it doesn't work, but please stop calling things like this a fix. It's a fix when it actually fixes the problem.
and it's already been discussed as a "fix" in numerous other threads...

Nope - not at all. Glad you got your GPS working. If you had looked, you would have seen that there are plenty of other threads on this issue and probably would have already gotten your nav working sooner.
Like it was just said - having yet another thread on this issue doesn't make it any better of a "fix." That's not hating, that's pointing out the obvious.

this doesn't work for me on BAMF 1.5 or Tesla coil... So far nothing lets me GPS lock closer than 2300 meters without a 5 min or longer wait in maps.

Your entire response is the EXACT reason why there is a search button so every single topic does not require a thread. It keeps the forum cleaner and straight forward. If you wanna know any news or need to find out, go check Dan's twitter.

I hear you, I can see where you're coming from. But here's the thing. You have two choices as far as interacting on the forum:
1. You follow the important threads constantly, so you know what information is out there, and what is not. Then when you find some news, you can post about it in the related thread that's already there. If the news is huge and unrelated, you can start a new thread.
2. You follow casually, reading the latest pages of the top threads every couple of days. In this case, you can never be sure you have the latest information, and the unwritten rule is that you waive your right to post new threads about news.
Everyone else: Lay off, alright? He's been told off, and he was immediately repentant. That's enough.

If you take some time to search through the thread you'd find the answer to this. We don't like having to keep typing out the same thing over and over again because people don't use the search function.. Search long enough and you'll find your answer! But don't be so "specific" with the search engine. By looking for the answer to just the "note 5" only you're drastically reducing your chances of finding an answer because usually what works on one, works on another.

i'm extremely bright sport & had no idea "like this thread" was a link that answered the question .
& apparently you weren't bright enough enough to mention TAPPING on "like this post", when i 1st posted in this thread but it's nice that you clarify now..........................how many posts later.

Like I said it was posted over a month ago and that equals helping! Most of all my post are to help others!! But, us devs that help others can't sit here and hold everyone's hand and walk them through it like a baby we don't have time to be super ridiculously specific because 1 person couldn't figure out where the link was!
