Click to collapse
just install the *.cab
(copy to your device and run the *.cab)
or search a prog named "cab via activesync" and install *.cabĀ“s from your desktop

I tried but it show Installation was unsuccessful because it does not have sufficient system permission

Make sure that you've closed down your currently installed Comm Manager (through Task Manager) before you install.

I closed everything

Through the task manager?

Singhnx is right - you've still got it running. Bear in mind, most Task Managers will count the Comm Manager as a background process and so won't show it if it's running. You need to kill it through the Running Programs/Task Manager (depending if you're WM6 or WM6.1) option under Settings > System. Even better - carry out a soft reset and then run the cab as the first thing you do.

thanks, I had same problem before, but now it's ok now !! thank you !

[SOLVED] How to remove an application from Settings menu???

Hello all!
I deployed a couple of application that installed in Settings menu, I'm referring to AdvancedConfig 1.5.0.0 and Sim application (STK).
Since they don't function, I would like to remove them.
Any suggestion about how to do it?
I have a HTC 7 Pro and using [NewTech 8107 22L TU]Gold_Europe_5.11.401.02_Radio_5.71.09.02a_22.51.50 .21U by ansar
Thanks in advance!!!
Edit: To uninstall Advanced config, I downloaded an older version from touchxperience forum.
I also found out that version 1.3.0.0 works quite fine, that means that you didn't get
"OutOfMemoryException" and you can see/change something.
I.e. I tried to change my ringtone via Advanced config, but I found out that the ones I downloaded,
both wma and mp3 files, didn't appear in the list (I can see them in the list in Settings menu, since
I renamed and added one by one with registry editor... uff)
Hi, i used WP devicemanager
click on manage aplications and it shows all that you installed en now you can remove it from there. Have the same problem with the outofmemoryexception on my 7 pro with DFT freedom rom V4 8107.
