How do I create shortcuts in WM6? I've figured out how to create shortcuts to standard programs (ie: \program files\googlemaps\googlemaps.exe), but how do I create short cuts to "built-in" apps that don't really have an .exe? For Example, how do I create a shortcut to text messaging? or (more importantly) how do I create a shortcut to the "programs" folder or the "settings" folder?

I want to create a shortcut that can launch the programs menu like I can when I tap on start, programs. If I create a simple programs shortcut launching it will open the file explorer with small icons instead I want large icons like those I see when I tap on start, programs. Two possible solutions:
1) Search on the forum for quickmenu, this program launches programs when you tap on start; but no big icons...
2) Mortbuttons (LINK) i think the pics are self explanatory...and yes customizable big icons...

Create a shortcut in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\, from the file "folderview.exe" located in the Windows directory. Then you can set a button to the shortcut.

ALL Programs
The all programs button on the TF3D panel is just another link to the start menu folder in windows. So adding or removing LNK files there changes both.
I use Total Commander to create shortcuts of manually installed apps, and move them to the windows start menu folder. They will then show up in the windows start icon / programs menu and the ALL PROGRAMS list in TF3D and you can then add them to the programs (or ATT) panel of TF3D.
The LNK format is simple, you can make them in a text editor as well. The format is
19#"\path\yourapp.exe"
on one line where the number 19 is the number of characters after the #.
another example:
21#"\Windows\Camera.exe"
I've installed NDrive but I cant get it to apear in All programs list.
I've created a shortcut in \windows folder and Programs Folder,
But It doesn't apear in the all programs list, what do i have to do to make it apear in the list so i can add it in the manila shortcuts.

You have to place the shortcut in : \Windows\start menu\Programs . Not in \windows or \windows\programs
I've done in my old phone, but i didn't remember where to put the shortcut's anymore.

Dear all
I have a HD2, and I have installed energy ROM.
Microsoft apps shortcut tasks and calendar are in windows\start menu\office mobile folder
Contact shortcut instead is placed on windows\start menu folder
Questions:
1. if (using file explorer) I move calendar and tasks up one directory (e.g. in windows\start menu) they LOSE THEIR ICON. Their original icon is replaced by window logo flag-style icon (white flag in background with 4 squares of window logo).
2. I use Resco File explorer to copy links onto the main page for quicker access: if I add these 3 programs (selecting from their folder: calendar, tasks and contacts, they are replaced with the above mentioned logo-icon. They work! I mean if I click the first logo-icon I can get CONTACTS...obviously it would be better if I can also see the original contacts-icon...
3. How to restore original icons?
I attach 2 screenshots which are self-explanatory.

Hello everyone.
Having some trouble with task manager shortcut on my hd2. I want shortcut on todays screen at quick links, but I can get this on, which is placed in settings/system (top left corner in picture).
If I copy taskmgr.lnk from /windows to /windows/start menu/ I get the middle one in picture and if I copy and create shortcut from /windows/taskmgr.exe, then I get the right icon which is really ugly.
I was searching on web about *.lnk files and I find out that this is just a text file. The middle icons content is "26#:MSTASKMGR?:taskmgrapp" in the right ones "22#"\Windows\Taskmgr.exe"".
So, I want to create new *.lnk file for task manager which will contain desired icon and I wonder what should be written in lnk file.
