Can anyone provide an S710 ROM so that I can reflash my Orange E650? This damn thing crashes all the time and frequently I have to take the battery out just to clear it and get it to boot.
It appears that normal S710 do not have this problem - I do not know what Orange are playing at...
Also Orange saw fit to remove MSN from the phone but thanks to this forum I have installed it!

I regret very much, that I flashed my E650 to htc rom.
Only recently I found a GOOD rom which work as it should, nice and fast, its: HTC_Vox_ARA_1.27.415.4_4.1.13.47_02.98.90, but unfortunetly does not have my language inside, I had to use a lang pack. This one supports only English, French and Arabic langs.

BTW, if you flash it with other rom, your orange rom is LOST FOREVER. You won`t find it anywhere on internet. RUU for orange rom simply doesn`t exist.
I was developing one, but stucked on one point and here nobody was willing to help with that.

Yes, to TEMPORARLY solve the rebooting loop problem (sdhc driver error) while phone is booting is to remove sd card from the phone. Magicaly, it is working. But it can restart anytime after, so .... pointless.

I just wrote it above! Orange rom in downloadable format (RUU) doesn`t egsist!!!! Orange did an upgrade to newer version but it was never published on internet.
If you flash it with diferent rom, you will never get it back, it`s lost forever!!
BTW, to solve some minor problems just do Clean Memory/Hard Reset of phone, that way you will get it in to factory default. Problems gone.

How to update, research on forum.
Don`t bother with update to that rom (1.15). It`s crap (very bad), your rom is better!
You can update to ARA_1.27, this one is very good.

No, it does`t support Ita lang. Search on Tornado forum, maybe there you will find a Italian language pack for Tornado. I use polish lang pack for Tornado on Vox and it works perfect.
Not so perfect but it's ok :] On my spv e650 that lang packa slowed it down and batery was empty after 1 day :]

Are you sure, it was becouse of lang pack? I never had such problems on my vox. Battery hold for longer than 2 days, or when I use wi-fi a lot (incuding hours of web browsing) for 1 day. So I doubt it`s cos of lang pack.

So there must be something wrong with lang pack itself. I think on Tornado forum gays were working with lang packs. Go there and look again.

You could be come a hero to us english speakers living in Japan. I love my S11HT and have been happy with emobile's coverage my area except for the emobile black hole at Shoppers Plaza in Yokosuka. But I am occasionally frustrated with the Japanese interface.

the last time i tried it, it didnt work but maybe is because i dont have a s11ht (i have a tytn2).
the radio of s11ht is different to the tytn2 one, (all commands .. all) because it needs to support the 1700 mhz band.
but at the moment, i got working some things (OS) on the tytn2.

also, try to install a Diamond ROM into your s11ht and tellme what happens.
if nothing works, then we must wait for the xperia rom (because xperia supports the 1700 mhz band and should work with the s11ht Radio)

Sorry we were never able to get a copy of the original shipped ROM.
I can say on emobile the new radio is significantly better than the old one. I need to fix my sig.
Now we can make the Emonster english. I've tried this using both the L26_daimond and Hyperdragon III. The only thing I haven't been able to make work is display of Japanese Fonts. So if someones solves that life will be great. What you need to do:
First get hard SPL installed then

Get one of the new cooked ROMS I have tried L26_Diamond and HyberDragon III the Augest 4 version

If you install Askal's "Let's Japan No.6", you can read Japanese in English rom. It includes Japanese font as well. After you install it, you need to change keyboard layout with registry editor.
I have tried let's Japan No. 6 and when I install it I can not use the red and green telephone keys to start and end calls.

You can choose any cooked rom in this forum. But WM6.1 should be much easier to install Japanese font.

Yesterday night I flashed my Kaiser with HardSPL 1.1 then Schaps 4.31.
Everything went fine, after reboot I found myself in the expected purple theme, I did a hard reset, a little bit of config and... and nothing ! No network, couldn't connect to Orange network
I tried manual network config, schaps assistant, no way !
Radio is 1.27.14.32, hint : camera works fine (I read in the forums that network and camera are linked, sort of...)
Can anybody help me ?

No other radio yet, the only other 6.0 I have is 1.27.15.32, I will try it but at present I'm at work and i can't disable the anti virus, which I think is not recommanded while flashing...?
... maybe I can flash the radio with a SD ? (no PC environment problem then ?)

Why don't you try WM6.1 ? There's many very good one here.

I was tempted by 6.1 but I want a french one and the only I found are ansar's and noThrills's.
I have no return on these ROM's behaviour on Orange in France and I thought it was best to start playing with a localized ROM.
May I ask which one you are using ?
If I'm stuck I may try the recently released official Orange 6.1, but I'm borred with Orange's crap stuff.
Currently i use Hyperdragon III (4/8/2008)(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397121). It's in english, but It's the best rom i found (i have tried many of them...). Maybe one day a cooker will be able to provide an HyperDragon in french ...
Since have a "Ten by Orange" abonnement the only thing i can't use it's EasyWeb (it's just OperaMini with startup page by Orange/Ten) and WLMail a java client for Hotmail.
But the rest work ok.
Internet work very well with (IE, Opera 9.5, Opera Mini...) and to have access to the OrangeWorld portal there's one thing to do about the "User Agent".
About the mail i can install the cab from ten by orange and use their tool to configure three mail box....but you can look at your mail with Opera (by ex) if you have a webmail (GMail, LaPoste.net, ...).
About tchat you can use the MSN Messenger (but the one provided by the cab from orange (3169.cab for the Kaiser)).

First it means that my Kaiser is not bricked , then it also means I can try other ROMs and feel safe because I should be able to restore a working config, nice!
BTW I'm still with hardSPL 1.1 (AT) does anyone know if I can keep it or should I move to 3.28 since I now have a 6.1 ROM ?

I've seen this behavior couple of time,
I just had to enable the plane mode and redisable it... Radio was back !
(don't really know/understand why, but it did the trick)

I woke up to a similar problem today, different rom and radio though.. I was running ROMeOS and 1.58.25.17, woke up this morning to no signal. A few soft resets and 2 radios later, still no service. Any ideas? Was working fine yesterday.
Sigh, also just hard reset. No difference.

Software : I have buy a soft keyboard named VGAKEY (http://vgakey.net/web/index.php?enhome) The price is about 3€ ) it work very very well and support many many languages.
Hardware : Using Shap Advanced Config you can put the keyboard in french.
I'm looking for a french dictionary for the keyboard now

Correct, it is only for arabic language, but why we are not able to download it?
It is true, the update is just a package for Arabic update only that localizes the Touch Pro. The user needs to provide the device serial number which I doubt it is region based serial numbers.
Otherwise, there ain't any ROM update so far -to my knowledge

HT835K010234 this S/N works for german ROM. Used it for my also Vodafon Branded (not anymore ) Phone
Edit: But u have to do this Hard SPL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150, because vodafon prevents installing from this Firmware. Even its official.

I flashed it yesterday (my previous ROM was the original one), so I can only tell you the main changes I can see:
- TouchFlo 3d is the same as before - no new panels like in hd
- this rom seems to be very fast, it boots very quickly after installing all programs I use
- issues with camera seems to be fixed (I had problems with focusing, sometimes it didn't work)
- Google Maps are integrated in system, there's no need to download them from internet
- touchflo is much faster than before
- I can see Help shortcut in Start menu, I didn't have it in previous version
- Opera version is 9.5 Build 15306
That's all I can say about it now, I'm a little bit disappointed because of TouchFlo, I thought that HTC will add some new panels. But the ROM seems to be very stable and THPS2 is playable even without Omnia graphic driver.
Could some one provide serial to download English rom?

This ROM has also fixed one of the most annoying bugs: clock moving back a few hours when phone is set off. I haven't had this problem since I installed this new ROM.
But the new ROM has a terribly amateurish bug: in the "people" page of TF3D the left menu item reads "Contact" instead of "Contacts". Does anybody know if a registry edit can fix that?

I certainly needed the D3D Driver to get the Diamond Hologram to have any frames per second.

I have flashed winmo 6.5 on my phone. I have radio version 1.70. I have hard spl version 3.29 flashed. I did flash a stock HTC rom to my tilt before flashing shifu's 4.0 rom to my phone. I did do a master reset on my phone also.
The problem is every once in a while my phone freezes or hangs severely. It seems to happen only when I access messaging. It only does it occasionally. When my phone freezes it will either hang for five or more minutes but I can stil access the start menu, or it freezes completly and I have to yank the battery.
I have tried different 6.5 roms from different people all with the same results. I have also tried doing numerous hard resets. I have tried disabling 3g and hspda. Im kind of confused as to what to try next. I would like to keep 6.5 but this problem is getting old.
I also have a coworker that has a wing that I unlocked and she is using on the ATT network as well with 6.5 and hard spl to. She has the exact same issue.
Any help would be great.

Had the same issues with several 6.5-roms myself.
Experienced a lot of freezes and sometime it could not be resolved without reset.
Several times a soft reset has become a hard reset.
I always has flashed stock rom before a new flash.
I need my phone to work well, so yesterday I went back to a fast 6.1 rom (G's DK10final),
and at least for now the phone seems much more stable and responsive, and works well with all applications .
just same typicaL probLem witH me.. I used siFu 4.0 WM6.5 and it GettinG Freeze at the menu option.. and tHen I FLasHed it usinG uLtimate X2 V.11 WM6.5 and same probLem Hit me as weLL.. SO i decided to FLasH it usinG stock ROM WM6.1 ( OriGinaL Version tHat i Got From HTC website ).. aFter it FinisHed tHen i FLasH my kaiser usinG siFu V.19 WM6.1.. and it run weLL and stabLe in my Tytn.. So, is WM6.5 is uncompatibLe witH my tytn..? Hmm... i wonder.. i don't know.. FYI i usinG SPL 3.29 Hard2 and Radio 1.70.19.09..

I have been, both ATT and HTC stock before flashing. No help. Also did hard resets after stock flashes two before flashing 6.5 and after flashing 6.5.

I use WM6.1 modiFied ROM and i pLeased witH it peFormance ( tHanks to siFu tHat created tHis ROM^^ ) and i am not try to upGRade it witH WM6.5 stock ROM 'cause i'm to Lazy to experience same probLem aGain >.< stuck is suck dude.. ^^
