Adding SIM contacts to Cube - is it possible? - General Topics

Hi
As per the thread title really. It appears that you can only add Outlook contacts to the Cube, but all my contacts are on the SIM card and I don't really want to copy them to the phone just to add them to the Cube.
Is there any tweak available that would enable SIM contacts to be added to the Cube?
Thanks

better Sim Manager with sychronization

Hello
I'm looking for SIM manager which can not only copy but also synchronize contacts between my SIM card and Adress Book.
So it should be able to:
-remember which contacts should be synchronized
-automatically find duplicates
-optionally populate on SIM card contacts with multiple phones
Any idea?

WM 6.1 gonzo, can't remove sync contacts

When I look in the windows live options and then sync options, the only option I can choose is if I want to sync my email. Store Windows live contacts in your mobile phone's contact list and merge duplicate contacts are greyed out and preselected. But I do not want to have my live contacts in my contactlist. Anybody knows how to make those options selectable ?
Try asking in the WM6.1 v1.1 or WM6.1 v1.0b Threads.

I think it can be changed only when you are logging for the first time, because I have it grayed out too but it's disabled. I remember that I could change it when I was logging for the first time

Finger contacts manager

I've tried the pocketcm but It doesn't support SIM contacts.
Where Could I find a similar software that can manage SIM contacts?
thanks
Just import the SIM contacts...
Why stick to contacts on the sim? You have better options storing them on the PDA, and there's tons of backup programs in case of a crash...
Hi,
It does support SIM contacts, just not by default. You have to edit the ini file and set showsim to 1.
I think its stated in the thread in development and hacking.

General contacts question

Ok here is a small question. I have added all of my old phone contacts to the phone contacts. But when I am using the Calender of my HTC Diamond ( which is basicly Outlook ) and set up a meeting, I am not able to add any contacts from the phone contacts. THe list of contacts it empty. So that means there is a phone contacts list and a outlook contact list.
Why? I mean shouldnt this all be handeled by windows mobile? Is there an easy way of getting the phone contacts to my outlook contacts? And will the outlook contacts work for calling somebody?
This just doesn't make any sense usability wise to me..
P.S.: Active sync only "sees" the outlook contacts , which are empty on my phone.
Hi,
please specify "phone contact". Are these one your SIM card? Because if not, they should be synced with your outlook contacts(in outlook, they should show in contacts now)
Otherwise you can just copy all sim contacts to your phone.
To answer your question, yes you can call outlook contacts with the phone, ofcourse after sync.

WM 6 contacts count

Hi, is there a possibility to see how many contacts are on my Kaiser with WM6? I'm not sure if I go to SIM manager, does it count some contacts as two entries if the contact has a home number and mobile number.
