I seem to have a problem installing programs via *.cab files. Opera Mini is opening them... so no install....

Hi, I'm running XDA Mobile 6 Release 2a on my Wizard. Is there a chance to get HTC Home Plugin and TouchFLO installed afterwards?
NBD Rom and Wizard retouched doesnt run proper on my device.

tried that combination but my device became sluggish, went back to nbd 7.9, its faster if you want touch files in the rom

It is possible to pick up the files from the ROM's OEM folders and make a .cab out of them. However, people have found touchflo very sluggish if installed afterwards. You can look at mattk_r's last kitchen (one of the sticky threads) if you want OEM folders for touchflo and htc home.

i have the Omnia and its a simple case of drag from comp to fone and install the CAB file but been told theres no option on the Pixon to do this... can any1 confirm plz???
or if not can a software get downloaded to alow this?

I swapped my pixon for a mda vario 3 about 3months ago. i updated the firmware and downloaded a few games for it. its got samsungs own os so not much software for it afaik

So i used the Web to search for the original for Polaris.
But i didnt found it.

You hadn't search a lot. You can switch manilla 2D to default windows 6.5 home in pcarvalho rom for example.
Which rom have you install. Give us pore details if you want help.

it's been a while, but not many WM6.5 roms around? I see only pcarvalho and pdaviet in the forum
but there's no way to search "WM6.5" as it returns nothing.
before there were many Wm6.1 roms...
You need only to read THIS page, is full of WM6.5 roms...

Yes i've been there, but search doesn't work with "ROM" keyword or WM6.5
and the sticky that was there for WM6.1 etc now gone...
tried pcarvalho eXtreme but it seems very slow, is this due to WM6.5 itself? should I stick to official WM6.1?

Yes, the stock rom opera is one of the best and fastest too.. A cab just to have would be nice!

First Install - Opera 9.7 build 35810 Full Cab by Captain_Throwback (Rapidshare)
Reboot
Then Install - Opera 9.7 build 35951 Upgrade (exe only) by barty22 (Rapidshare)
I'm running it on the Energy ROM and its working perfect with Pinch to Zoom and Reflow! So much better than Opera 10.

thanks to the suggested procedure , I was able to restore the original opera 9.7 with pinch to zoom full functionality ; the last ROM upgrade installed opera10 but I do not love it !!!
now I notice a secondary problem :
opening the command menu , tapping on ANY command ( Settings , Downloads , Page info , etc.....) it seems to block the application
I need to click on any hardbutton to move from this situation
is this normal or not ?
is there any adjustment to do to solve this problem ?
