Hi HTC Cruise Groupe
I really like picsel browser, but I can't use it with the touch Keypad.
every time I try to use the keypad, it prints numbers instead of letter, no matter the mode in with he is (abc,t9,123).
Any idea how to change this bug?
Thanks
Get the WM6 version would be my guess.

I am not sure I understand your answer...
the touch cruise has WM6 and Picsel browser isn't really made for HTC...
I think they must be reg config in for the touch keypad that forces the use of the letters and not the numbers...

Hey ya
well ive been searching high and low to try and find out if the SMS program is decent enough on the Polaris and others. i had a play with a HTC touch, only to find the default SMS program is not only combined with email, but is also. . . crap, with no option to use an on screen keypad with T9 predictive. Does such a thing exsit. Obviously the touch dual would allow this with its keypad and its T9 predictive text entry, but it doesnt have Wifi or GPS and probably wont anytime soon, so im looking elsewhere (Polaris/Cruise/Orbit2)
cheers
Jamie
the phonepad input tool you can find here using search if your device dont come with it
does t9 and everything
it works on all wm devices from htc
"SMS program is not only combined with email,"
same thing for all htc/wm devices it dont slow it down
and emails and sms's are not placed in the same dirs
Thanks for the quick reply
Is this the one you mean ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312235
or is there an official HTC one that comes with the Polaris?
Jamie
same program diff skin i think
if it comes with polaris may depend on if one get it from a phone company they
at times customize their stuff
but a cab is a cab it will install and work
There a some software that I love using while I travel such as pocket putty or Picsel Browser.
But there is a big problem with them when I use the touch pad only numbers get out what ever mode I am in, (abc, XT9, 123) any key I hit on I get a number out.
is there a way to configure it so that what ever mode I choose I get it right: abc & XT9--> letters and 123--> numbers.
Thanks for any help.
Try using Resco Keyboard Pro, it integrates perfect with the TC even works with the word completion on my device! I had the same number problem with several keyboard programs but Resco works the best.
thanks I'll give it a try.
but I was more hoping for a fix or a reg teak...
Hi all,
maybe I did something wrong but here's my experience with Resco keyboard 5.11
I installed the multi language version as it's supposed to support the Dutch language.
Whilst installing it asks for a language preference and Dutch is not in the list. F&*k-up #1
After installing, one can select a primary language and in that list I fount Dutch.
The Resco keyboard is default automatically after installing it.
Whenever I try to type a message with the Resco keyboard it persists in skipping letters in words every now and then which is more often that I like. Aka, multiple times a message. I disabled every form of correction in the general keyboard settings and in the resco keyboard settings just in case and I also lowered the gesture sensitivity to minimal but that doesn't help.
I found out there is no Dutch T9 support in Resco keyboard 5.11 so what the f^&k is multi lingual about it? That it supprorts the Euro sumbol? Wow
Whilst the keyboard itself when it works, works better aka easier than the standard TP on screen keyboard because of the nice spacing between the keys but that's just about everything that is great about it as it's nearly impossible to complete half a decent Dutch text message without manually correcting the forced spaces in the middle of words many times.
Am I the only one experiencing such a hard time with this keybard? I've installed it numerous times on several roms now and it keeps behaving the same.

this has got nothing to do with diamond and youd be better putting it to resco
i have no problem with it (english)
youll probably need to make your own dutch t9 version, but surely it is in dutch...
did you try reinstalling?
although i tried changing language and nothing seemed to happen :s

Well, this is the Raphael forum And I've only tried it on my Raphael (TP) and would like to know what experience others have with resco keyboard + the raphael so I'd say I'm in the right spot to ask.
Why would I have to make my own dutch t9 version when it is supposed to be multi-lingual with support for the Dutch language?
As stated, I tried installing it on numerous rom versions and reinstalling it too.
hehe, my bad, didnt mean diamond...meant it would be generic to all devices, not specific to touch pro
and resco forums would be the best place to ask
I'm on the look for a new keyboard as i've been using Resco Keyboard for a while now but find myself deviating from it slowly. It just has to many problems for me and i'm pretty sure there's something better out their that suits me.
Hi !
First of all I'd like to apologize for my English, actually I'm French... But since there is no French XDA community I will do my best to understood...
I've recently bought an HTC Diamond 2, but I'm disappointed because of the keyboard when writing an SMS with touch flo indeed, I don't manage to have my phone in landscape mode with the big keyboard, and only get the small one in portrai mode. Is there any software or hack to get it ?
Moreover can you tell me the software the most useful, I've already setup the ATI drivers, and Advanced config tool (which I'm a bit afraid to use, is there any guide ?). Any softwares which would improve my way of using this phone ?
Last question, what about the SMS memory ? how much SMS can we keep in memory in the phone ?
Once again sorry for my English, I did my best.
Thanks in advance !
Victor
Go to the settings tab of the TouchFlo, at the bottom (you have to scroll down with your finger) you will find G-Sensor, click it and turn on Auto Rotation. This should enable auto rotate in SMS.
As for number of SMS, it is practically unlimited, I have more than 2000 SMS's in my TD2.
thanks for your answer, but it doesn't work, I am not triying to have the keyboard rotate in the windows mobile messenger software, in this one it does very well.
But when you receive a message in the touch flo tab, you press on it so that you can answer (but you're still in the touch flo interface), but here the keyboard doesn't want to rotate....
I think that you are selecting the message which effectively takes you to the people tab and the threaded message where I dont think the keyboard will rotate.
You can however click on 'menu' then 'reply' where the keyboard should rotate for you there. hope that helps
By the way using Advanced config should be quite safe to use. the latest version advises you on what the default settings are and what the advised settings are so it is pretty straight forward.
Just dont try changing things you are unsure of or post a question on here and i'm sure someone will answer specific questions
I finally have my question solved thanks to a topic here which explained how to make the TouchFlo 3D rotate.
Thanks to your answers !
Please, I need help!
Is it possible to find somewhere a original software (Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional) for HTC Touch Diamond... When I got this phone it was this software but on Dutch languange, and my friend installed me a WM 6.5 but it was too slow... I want that software where I can again choose different type of keyboards, and not be able to write messages only with my pen, I want to use my fingers to write text! I want again that keyboard on screen which you can choose from messages menu. Sorry if I made mistakes in text, my English is not so good!
I hope you will help me!
Thank you...
