Fixes:
ROM builds with radio versions 1.05.00 and 1.10.00 all include audio enhancements for voice calls. They also contain the improved camera driver. We are working hard to deliver these new builds to our full suite of languages.

Ensure that Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7.1 or above is installed on your PC. This can be found on the CD-ROM that came with the i-mate™ JAM or can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile. Follow the on screen instructions. Then connect your i-mate™ JAM to your PC with the USB Cable connected directly to the PC.

Ok, has anyone tried that? I'm downloading the upgrade right now, the speed is incredibly slow, and I can't wait to try it out. Will post the deails when I finish the upgrade.

Can you install the rom on a XDA Mini

Does anyone else have problems downloading the upgrade from I-Mate website? The connection is very slow and the download gets stuck halfway. I tried a couple of times already. Can anyone upload it to a faster server?

Pablo, that's the upgrade for US phone, we (and you too) need the european one.

Just finished downloading the WWE upgrade, but installer says that the file is corrupted. Went back to the club-imate website and found out that the link to the WWE upgrade has been removed! Although the link from the first post still works

I just had a chat with an i-mate online person. He said his best guess is that the WWE version will be back up tomorrow. I'm sure that info is as solid as any previous timelines they have issued.
I have a WWE version. I just tried the USA version, which seems to be working.....but I get a country code error.

Thanks, Gevor, I assumed that would be the case. I should have an 850mhz version in the next week or two, so I will possibly need to put it to use then. I really just wanted to point out that the USA version appears to be working, so it's not the whole batch.

ANY KNOW , when is avaiable the spanish version 1.06 with all the revisions , that the WWE.???
Because the best rom in the moment is the WWE 1.06, but the other laguages (french,ita,Spanish etc etc have the version 1.03.
Please when the spanish version is avaiable to download... Upload it to the ftp.

Just wanted to know if there was any real problems with flashing my WWE Jam with the US rom?? Would I be able to reflash it to the UK rom at a later date??
EDIT Dont matter just tried and it wont upgrade anyway Come on i-mate get the UK file up! Ive already done a hard reset before the download finished ...... We live and learn!

I don't think it would be too wise to use the USA version anyway, if it is built to be used in versions with the 850mhz radio.

Official Dutch Vodafone WM6.1 (FINAL)

The official dutch Vodafone ROM posted onto the Dutch Vodafone site is corrupt and the installer was in a very strange language.
Edit (03 august 2008): Final is posted... and it works

The one on the site at the moment is corrupted, I called Vodafone and they will be update it within a few days.

Unpacked it, didn't see the error and tried to flash it... after 100% just bootloader
Waiting for the correct version.

Still the same bogged release on the site
I wonder if VF is aware this release is bogged, considering its still downloadable. Unless dark forces want customers to run this one and screw up their handhelds.

I allready contacted them, but the people on the other end of the phone didn't even know there was an update published on the site.
I suggest we all call Vodafone NL and push them to release a correct package.
call 1200 from your Vodafone Mobile or
call +31 654500100 from another location.
Please call do not try email, cause they react very slow on email.

Called them too, seems they took it at heart, as far as I can see the faulty release is no longer there (no link), now we just have to wait till they post a new version and then hope it ain't another buggy one.

Just tried, site loaded fast, but NO software upgrade for the V1615, just the old link to upgrade from WM5 to WM6. Site was slower then sh*t yesterday, got one timeout after the other..Offtopic Q, how you get that dutch flag and vodafone logo to be displayed, looked under user cp, but must have overlooked the option repeatedly.?

I think we're the only ones interested in the v1615 Vodafone NL Software here on XDA.
The link I refer to is not on the "Windows Mobile Email - support" page but on the "Push e-mail - support" page. And it's still the bugged version there. And yeah, the site is slow today.
A long time ago I did set country and operator, I don't know if it was during registering or I did it later. I cannot find the option either at the moment. Maybe you can contact a moderator or administrator about that.
edit: found it, click your name above a post, then click view public profile. In the about me tab, you can edit operator, country and some other stuff.

Just checked the site. I can now download:

Can someone check if this is the currupt file.

It's a new file with a dutch ROMUpdateUtility.exe, the RUU_signed.nbh is corrupt just like the other one.

Jeez they sure hid that nicely, would have expected it under user cp ;-) but thanks I managed to add them with your help.. and look we even found two more users in this thread
now we're speaking vodafone, I cant seem to get live messenger to work, it keeps bugging about that its unable to sync, a colleague with T-mobile can use it just fine, is this something that may be vodafone proxy related?

Will keep checking VF site till they released a new and hopefully good ROM and post the url here once its' there.

Buggy Software Removed
The link to the bug was removed, but unfortunately no new version (the bug is still downloadable). I spammed Vodafone again thru the contact form again and asked if there will be another (correct) version published this week.
I'm leaving the country this weekend, and I hope I can fix my v1615 this week.

It's a shame Vodafone NL is so slow reacting with a working new ROM, cant you flash the old original ROM Back or if all else fails use another cooked ROM?

HTC Touch Pro ROM Update is available

Hello everybody,

Unfortunately when I try to download it there is message saying “this upgrade is not suitable for your device”.
Does any one have some experience with this ROM Upgrade?

Correct, it is only for arabic language, but why we are not able to download it?

It is true, the update is just a package for Arabic update only that localizes the Touch Pro. The user needs to provide the device serial number which I doubt it is region based serial numbers.
Otherwise, there ain't any ROM update so far -to my knowledge

HT835K010234 this S/N works for german ROM. Used it for my also Vodafon Branded (not anymore ) Phone
Edit: But u have to do this Hard SPL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150, because vodafon prevents installing from this Firmware. Even its official.

Is it faster? What version of opera browser does it have? Is it resolving the hardware keyboard issues? Does it have the Hd Touchflow3d? Things like that...

I flashed it yesterday (my previous ROM was the original one), so I can only tell you the main changes I can see:
- TouchFlo 3d is the same as before - no new panels like in hd
- this rom seems to be very fast, it boots very quickly after installing all programs I use
- issues with camera seems to be fixed (I had problems with focusing, sometimes it didn't work)
- Google Maps are integrated in system, there's no need to download them from internet
- touchflo is much faster than before
- I can see Help shortcut in Start menu, I didn't have it in previous version
- Opera version is 9.5 Build 15306
That's all I can say about it now, I'm a little bit disappointed because of TouchFlo, I thought that HTC will add some new panels. But the ROM seems to be very stable and THPS2 is playable even without Omnia graphic driver.

Could some one provide serial to download English rom?

This ROM has also fixed one of the most annoying bugs: clock moving back a few hours when phone is set off. I haven't had this problem since I installed this new ROM.
But the new ROM has a terribly amateurish bug: in the "people" page of TF3D the left menu item reads "Contact" instead of "Contacts". Does anybody know if a registry edit can fix that?

Does anyone knows if with the new rom we need the ati d3d driver for better performance of the graphics or the Sd tune cab for better speed of the sd card???

I certainly needed the D3D Driver to get the Diamond Hologram to have any frames per second.

-ive used the rom but there are several bugs related to wifi.
-secondly u cant edit the sliding panels or titanium on on this rom.
-the default file manager is resco, ( no windows file manager )
-windows media player replaced with coreplayer and imo coreplayer sucks @ managing music (pocket player is better imo) albeit the nice video playing features
-menu looks nice ( the right softkey menu )
-basically thats it.
-and there is no office mobile (you can install it)
-if ur not afraid to flash roms go ahead and flash it (make sure u have the backup original rom in case anything goes wrong)
and if u want to install the wm6.1 rom instead u need to fiddle with the registry.

Can you please be kind to post the procedure? Tried to change the firmware & registry in the phone but no use.
My ROM is 4.3.2 EU1. What's the region of my phone? Can't find even an official 6.0 firmware for this.
Also when I try to update to 6.1, it doesn't say any language problem. Phone restarts to firmware upgrade screen & wait for the (Virtual) LAN connection to connect but it never does. Why is that?

i have been reading through this forum for a while and gained a lot of knowledge, thank u!
i am from germany, and i bought my samsung sgh-i780 in the US.
now i want to update my windows mobile to a newer version, but i am having trouble doing so:
the phones ID is: DXHD1
i am using the phone in english language just as i received it. but it seems like the phone has been imported to the US from eastern asia ?? right??
the official samsung page "http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/i780/index.jsp" doesnt work for me because my code isnt accepted in UK (i dont want a different language other than english or german)
what am i supposed to do now, in order to update my phone to a new wm version?
i read through the forums but i didnt find a fitting answer

try using UK and BVHF1 to get upgrader!
then tell me if you were able to update using this tool!

then apply e1 update pda part only (with mirage)
after this i supose official uk update from page above can be used to upgrad e phone to pdxib1 =) which is newest and std for actual roms'!

I am very confused... i dont understand all the terms u used because im not into this topic as u are
could u explain those steps for someone who is a complete noob as to that topic please? i dont know how any of the things u have been talking about

first get official pdxib1(or how irt is spelled!) using the link provided in previous post!
and then edit it as decribed unter the same link!
i use xvi32 as hexeditor =)

so first there are 3 things:
bootloader: starts windowsmobile! (called: eboot)
then operationsystem: windowsmobile(called: pda)
third is phonecomponentfirmware(calledhone)
you have to update these three using a russian rom!(romis a packet including one or all this three sections!)
then you've to get english software code! for this apply e1 rom to your i780! (it flashes pda sektion)
then it should be possible to use official english upgrader obtained by the samsung website!
this updater makes your mobile run dixb1 in phone and pda section (or how this reccomended version is spelled!).
after this you can overide pda section using a dxib1 based rom likeironeagles or dreamtheater39 or heineken ones... =)

second way described is very easy just get two files!
then edit one of them and there you are!( i think it is the seccond that has to be edited!)
official updater by samsung:
PDXIB1-XP
XVI32
what is to edit using xvi32? see middle of this post!
drivers
install xvi32 and the drivers!
then extract the updater with 7zip or winrar!
open biggest .exe with xvi32 and search for "DXIB1"... you will find it two times.
rename it both times to the same!
replace with what?
leaf the ib1 and replace the first two letters with the first two your phone has!

your code works when selection malaysian! =)
if you want to use uk version edit it like described in treath above!
but i think malaysian is english too!

i started the .exe file on my computer and my phone was updated...
now i looked at my phone and everything works fine its upgradet to 6.1
PS.: I could have used the Malaysian one? maaaaan i should have tried that

pdxib1 IS malaysian! =) its unbranded version =) its offcial version from samsung not for brandet devices!
i will modify pdxib1 to update my german phone...
dont forget now you can update to cooked wm6.5!
most common bug is artefact when moving courser!

AND DONT FORGET: GPS FIX! use it for every programm! w/o portsplitter!

cooked means edititen in a certain view.
so wm 6.1 is official
wm6.5.3 which u can obtain by using those "cooked" roms has a totaly reworked startmenu
it has other slidingpanels(titanium)
it might be faster. rom cookers (the persons building cooked roms) apply patches for stability ;more ram/space/pagepool new themes.
in wm 6.5 theres no real advantage than new startmenu and ne ie6 mobile.
i suppose to give ironeagle or heinekens rom a try and if you dont like it just flash old wm 6.1 back =)
its up to everyone to decide self wheater it is usefull or not.
on my old htc vox i always jused latest wm obtainable becuase of new features speed and stability
but the flexcable broke^^ so i got a new phone as vox is allways damaged somewhere.
and yes i'm german and i've just payed my new i780 =)
so it will arrive maybe around 29/30/31 this month =)

i forgot the screen-lock-password of my phone and now i dont know what to do.
dont want to lose all my data... so a hard reset is not my solution.
do u know a way to obtain my password? should i go to a samsung store?
