Opere Mini and Javam managers - General Topics

I've discovered the wonders of Opera Mini...
My Artemis has Esmertec Java in ROM... I was wondering if there's a way of launching Opera direct from a shortcut rather than having to load Esmertec first, and if there's a way to bypass/default the security/connect questions when starting the applet? I'd really like operamini to replace Pocket IE on my hard button....

maybe this is a good read

MIDlet Manager news; anyone from Esmertec, Aplix or IBM?

With the recent release of Opera Mini 4 beta 2 (see the review, which has even been frontpaged by SmartphoneThoughts, HERE), which, in many respects, even better than Opera Mobile, the, so far, best Windows Mobile browser, Opera Mobile got a really serious contender.
Now, some really bright people have found out how individual MIDlets under the latest-and-greatest MIDlet Manager (the environment that runs MIDlets, including Opera Mini), Jbed by Esmertec, can be made run directly, via a direct link in, say, your Programs folder. This vastly reduces the time needed to start Opera Mini, and might also offer (I haven’t tested this as yet - it certainly works with IBM J9, another MIDlet manager) some other goodies - for example, making Opera Mini for the default, system-wide browser. That is, when you for example click a link in a HTML mail (or, click a file in the file system), Opera Mini will be automatically invoked and the link target (or, the file) rendered. Please see THIS page for more information.
Speaking of other MIDlet Managers, a lot has happened to TAO Intent MIDlet Manager as well. Well-known XDA-Developers hacker “Risidoro” has managed to 1, fix the “one shot” security problem of the, so far, only .1034 version of TAO Intent; 2, create a CAB file of an even more up-to-date (.1036) version of this MIDlet Manager. The latter works flawlessly and also has the ability to be installed to a storage card (which, so far, only the Russian hacked .1023 versions were capable of). Upgrading to it is highly recommended if you want to stay with TAO Intent (because, for example, of its M3G (3D) capabilities, which not even the latest Esmertec Jbed offers.) Please see THIS thread for more information.
Hopefully, Risidoro also manages to create a decent installer of another MIDlet manager, Jblend by Aplix, which comes with devices like the Sharp Zero, the Samsung BlackJack and sports pretty unique capabilities; for example, M3G (3D) support. See the THIS thread for more info.
Second, a request. Does anyone work for Esmertec, Aplix or IBM? Please tell the folks to read their mail - I won’t publish my long-promised MIDlet Bible before I am able to discuss all the related questions (most importantly the OEM-only issue of Jbed‘s / Jblend‘s, the two best and most standards-compliant MIDlet manaers today). If my mails (I’ve sent them last Sunday) are lost, I’m ready to re-send them. Feel free to mail me at werner_AT_remove_th1s_pocketpcmag_d0t_com.
My 503g comes with Esmertec and I like it. It has been very stable with everything I run especially the new Opera Mini Beta.
Now you are saying I can install the newest version of JBed on top of Esmertec and it will work better, or am I misunderstanding you?
Thanks.

Yup. see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326951
Cool, thanks. This does work better.
The Esmertec folks have answered my mail - that is, I only need Aplix and IBM to do the same.

Opera mini and Gentimer 2.0

Hey, could someone upload Opera mini exe or cab, not jad. And could someone upload a full version of Centimer 2.0.
With respect tont100
Opera Miniis a Java app, it only comes is jar/jad format. Opera mobile is available from the opera Web site which is the full application...it comes as a 30 day trial and if you want to use it for longer than that you'll need to register it.
Can't help on the Gentimer though
But the Opera mobile doesn't have the mouse, so Opera mini is better, but is there any way of getting Opera mini to default browser.
search the forum there are plenty of topics relating to using opera as the default browser, direct links to run it and so on..
I thought this was only for ppc ?
Anyway wait for opera mobile 9.5 which should have all you are looking for.
Ok got Opera Mobile and a keygen for it to. So Opera is solved.
Now Rivia Gentimer, so does someone have a full version of it or a keygen or cracked version WHAT WORKS.
There is no warez allowed here. Stop requesting these things.
OK OK SRY.

Opera mini

Hi all,
How can I download opera mini to my pocket PC, O2 XDA mini
Regards
John
http://mini.opera.com with your mobile's browser.
If you use opera or pie in wm6.5b, you'll have to setup your browser to declare itself as "mobile" (and not desktop).
Opera Mini
Thank u sooooooooo muchhhh
Search and you should find a CAB on this forum that not only installs Opera Mini but adds a shortcut to your start menu.

Question - Opera Mini / Mobile

Hey Guys,
I have ben using Tomal's V12 64mb for ages and am thinking of changing the browers to Opera, Although afert looing on teh opera website i found that there are two browers that can run on Uni:
Opera Mini
Opera Mobile
i would like some help to fiind out which of the is better!
I prefer Opera mobile over mini.
This is the version I have found more stable: Opera Browser 9.70.35627.0
Check my sig opera official thread and you´ll find all you need
Thanks
will try and report back
Yes, Opera Mobile is a bit better because it can handle Flash, and JS with a better way than Mini one. Same as orb3000 said Opera 9.7 is bettter I think because Mobile doesn't load websites for me or when downloading timer is there(ew. on rapidsaher free) it can load it. Mobile 10 missing that timer and Mini has it but it's not working. Btw. Opera Turbo is bit bugged because you must turn it off before saving images or downloading files. And best of all it works fine on 64mb RAM Uni (without upgrade). Good choice is Skyfire too. You can check it at www.skyfire.com and I really recommend it with a new version of 1.5.

JBlend on Touch Diamond 2

On my Topaz JBlend is preïnstalled so I can use java MIDlet's. If I want to use a MIDlet I have to open JBlend. I really like to have the MIDlet's in my start menu. How can I manage that?
