I am new to this.
I have downloaded a a nk.nbf file but what else do I need. when I extract it all I get is a bunch numbers and characters. Someone please help.
Do I need another tool to decode ?

i downloaded HTC64_Extended_ROM_Tool_v1.1.zip
but now i have a sely qustion
from where i can get the nbf file for Extended_ROM
i used the upgrade file but it dosen't work because it was exe file :!:
when you execute the exe file...it creats a temp folder with all the nbf files...search for *.nbf can you can find them... then copy the required file into the desktop

your tool converts the file into FAt
how can i convert it to .nba format

I tried to decode it.but failed.
I think the reason is I used incorrect password.

What tool do you use to decode it? Wanted to try it myself, but I don't know what tool to use.
Somewhere I was reading the password is HTC, bu I couldn't try it out without a tool.

You will not need a password if you use typhoonnbfdecode. Search the forums for where to download this tool. The WM5 ROM editing tools are also useful once you have extracted the individual modules.
Thanks - I could extract the NK.NBF with that tool. And with the help of WinImage, I could extract the extended ROM-file to get the individual cabs.

I need to extract files from the t-mobile sda ROM. I extracted the .exe file, now how do I extract files from the nk.nbf file? I a noob at this, please give simple instructions. I think it has something to do with typhoontool.exe or something. PLEASE HELP.

I don't know if this works for your device's rom(its for ipaq hx2xxx series), but you can try it:

You push the unpack button, navigate where the nbf file is, push open. The unpacked file its in the same directory as the nbf file.

I've sent you a PM regarding PMSN. Hope you recieved it. Is there a way to know what are all the original files that belong to a program? I've dump'd "Tor_TMOUS_10140_191916_10900_SHIP" trying to extract PMSN, I found some of the file, I'm sure not all, but then, I couldn't find any "_setup.xml" files, so, how to create one or is it in a diff place?
