PIN for SIM card ??

just bought a used siemens sx56, it asks for a pin # when i install the sim card, where can i find the pin # ?
thanks
mike
The PIN # should be delivered with your sim card from your operator. If it asks for sid code, than the phone is locked and you have to unlock it using the xdaunlock tool....
Stefan
well.... the sim card has been in my other phone for almost a year and i threw out all the paperwork that the sim card came with. is there any other way to find out??? i have at&t maybe att website? or my monthly bill?
And you don´t have to eneter a PIn when you used the card in your old phone?
That´s very strange......
Normally the PIn isn´t written anywhere. Neither Bill, nor Web-site...
Maybe the customer service could help you.

try entering 1111 or 1234, reset phone between tries or you may get a locked sim.
yes 1234 worked, i finally found the manual and according to it- this is the default pin # and i hadnt changed it.. so everything is cool !
thanks guys
sim code and the phone being unlocked have nothing to do with eachother
here all sims need pin codes sure you can make it stop asking for the code
but it have nothing to do with the phone being locked
i never had a locked phone but have always been asked for sim on all my phones i use it as a 2th password if it's lost

pin code submission

Hi,
need some help, i have a compact two and for some reason out of the blue it has requested a pin code? Is there a generic code to use as i certainly have not ever set a pin code for the phone? My only explanation could be someone has been as a** and changed it when i have not been looking!
Regards
Pete
in addition
Just to add to the message i have tried a hard reset and it still requesting the code
sims have a pug code which will reset the pin code
contact your phone company for what it is and how to reset it
if it's too hard on the pocketpc just put the sim card in another phone and do it there
Thanks for that, it doesn't appear to be the sim lock though, i take sim out of phone and put it in another and it works fine, the mda however still requests a pin code even without a sim?
i never owned a simlocked phone but
i always had it so i had to type in the sim if i restarted my phones
so ppl could not use them if they stole it
here i think it's std that you have to type in the pin code
but you can make it renember it so you dont have to
i just always choosed not to for safety
and when i was drunk and forgot the pin code and tried too many times
and it locked the sim
i called the phone company and they sendt me the pug code and i could reset the sim lock
mind you with a locked phone it's the phone which is locked in your case it's the sim 2 very different things
only way is to know the code or the reset it using the pug code
or return the phone and sim to the guy you stole it from jk

Cingular 8125

My cellphone is asking for a password. I have no idea what the password is. I tried a hard reset but did not advace to nothing. Can anyone help me with a password reset? I am paying for service that I cant use at this time.
Thanks in advance
Your Mobile Service provider will be able to assist you.
I called Cingular and they say its a manufacturer issues, that they are the only ones that can un lock my phone. HTC is my phones manufacturer and they say its a cingular issue. I dont know what else to do. I need the password for my phone and not the sim card. Can you help me with that?

SPV M600 Sim Unlock problem

Hi Guys and Gals, I am moving back from M5000 to M600 but I am having a bit of difficulty unlocking the Sim. I have followed the Wiki directions and have my unlock code. The problem is that when I insert my new sim I am not asked for a network password but simply informed that I have an invalid or missing sim card, therefore I cannot unlock.
Any bright suggestions out there?
yep
i had the same problem
try to put a small piece of paper between your simcard and your battery,
for me it's working
Try a different SIM if you have one.
Hi guys, i have a similar problem, i run lokiwiz 03a and get the unlock code, then try a different sim, on boot up it first asks for network unlock code, i enter it, then it asks for service provider code, i then enter the same code, it then proceeds to the today screen, searches for network, then the phone goes into flight mode (well the phone function shows off) then the sim lock pops up again and asks again for the two unlock codes??? i have tried with various sim networks, hard reset and manually copied the .cabs to ROOT of phone, with no luck. help..... each time i try Lokiwiz it gives same code...

[Q] Phone password without SIm card

On my old Samsung it was possbile not only set a password for the SIM but also for the phone ...
I ask if there is a similar App for Android that I cannot find it because all the App I found say: "if SIM card is changed ...."
The goal is to protect my data saved on gmail account ...
I meant an App that works during the start up (powering on the phone) and if there is no SIM inside or a different SIM, it block the phone....
When the screen turn off someone can always remove the battery and the SIM and turn on again the phone and usign a wi-fi can easily check mu e mail !!! and it is very risky in my opinion!
SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING?
Thanks!
