Friends - it seems that these both roms are the best ones in terms of performance and speed ?
In the beginning I tested both but now which one the fastest one ?

I haven't been testing that long, but I tried both roms, and I feel Schaps is a bit superior (i only tried both full versions) except the cheesy purple theme. Schaps IMHO is a bit better. however I am still waiting for someone to figure out the WPA-Enterprise WLAN connection
Dutty,s V4 Dtouch Beta is far superior in stability, flow, modification, programs, Battery consumption, speed and memory management.
To top this all, Dutty is always on the board helping as much as time allows, everyone in need. He accepts criticism gracefully as well.
I have three tilts that I test for hobby and can compare all three, each with a different ROM all at the same time.
Been strong advocate of dutty's V3 final, but I suggest you give the D-Touch V4 Beta a try.
And of course, Donate....
I've been waiting for Dutty's v4, where is it? I don't see any thread here and I don't see it on the FTP site. I've been having issues with v3 and have been anxiously awaiting v4.

you can only obtain this from dutty so give him a call or should i say a pm toequest to be part of the beta testers
right now I say Schap's, i used all of dutty's but v2 and v3 just didnt work good for me as I had a lot of delay issues and i did try just about all radios, im using Schap's now and its flawless
Why limit the question?
I've used Dutty's, Schap's, Alex's and now Q's. Alex's was the fastest and least issues. But I'm trying Quentin's now. I haven't come to a conclusion on the ROM yet, but I really like his style. Very professionally done. If only everything on the forum were so logical and well organized, we'd all have more time to cook.

Ahh ok, didn't check there. Haven't gotten the password so I guess I'll just have to wait to either get it or the public release. Thanks for insight.
The problem is I`m using so many progrs that it takes me all together 4-5 hours to start ffrom scratch ...and I assume that I can`t use "restore" (from Schap`s) ???

I would very much appreciate a detailed opinion from one who has tried all the latest ROMS's from our beloved chefs and can give a fair comparison.

Please be patient. There's a reason why the file is p/w protected and why it's for Private Beta testing only. Once all the beta testers have given feedback to Dutty and he's fixed the bugs he's gonna release a final awesome ROM that you'll not need to beta-test yourself.

Ha ha ha, no you can't restore from Schap's ROM. I was actually in the exact same position as you: too many apps to install from cab files on my SD card + followed by customisation to get my device just the way I want it! Try using SKTools v4.2x.xxx. It allows you to do a batch install of the cab files (I'm assuming you're installing all your programs from cabs?) on your SD card. Now it takes me 30min max to finish installing all the little many apps I want on any new ROM I flash and another 20min to customise. I suggest you also use PIMBackup to backup your PIM data. I then also use Shogun's modified Palm SMS Threader tool, and all I do is copy a file named PalmMsgV001 from \Windows folder and after I install this app I just overwrite that in the same folder again and I have all my SMSs in a thread going back as far as last year!!!!

I can't believe that nobody here has mentioned the XDA LIVE rom, I have tried all the above mentioned roms. But to me there is no comparison I was flashing at least once a week to find the rom I liked best and even after I flashed the XDA LIVE rom I still tried others trying to find my perfect rom. But everytime I tried another I was somewhat disappointed and ALWAYS came back to XDA LIVE. I love it for exactly the reasons you may not,it is a bare bones OS that allows me to add whatever I want not what COOK wants to put in the rom. I have my preferences in everything and like that when I install what I like theres nothing already cooked into the rom so I'm not wasting memory.The one thing I don't think any of you can argue with me about is the amount of room in this rom I started with like 162.7 storage and 72.something program memory I don't think any of the other roms even come close. We all have our favorite flavors as far as roms go but if your gonna base it on stability+speed and performance I don't see how you can against the XDA LIVE rom.............thats my 2 cents but juding from the length of this post I might be up to a dimes worth.
my opinion:
trying all duttys, schaps, jack 1.1a and quentin 1.2, i say quentin is the most stable and quick. for me, at least.
i havent tried xda live, but i would certainly do, since most important things i look for in a rom is stability and speed. the rest, apps, i can put myself...

Is theire somebody who is able to make a clean (compleet) basic rom lik e orwell 1984? Only orwell didn't have a camera function.
I'm trying to clean up the faria rom but until still unsuccesfull. I'm using Faria because I believe at this moment it's the best / stable and fastest rom, but I don't need so much programs. For programs I prefer an other developer and some I don't want to usee. But because these programs are integrated to the rom you can't uninstall them...

There was no office apps in Muns ROM or was I just blind ? Cuz I put it on and then went with fahira ROM cuz of the office apps.
They were in the start menu, if you chose not to show it there, it was moved to the programs folder i think.

Yep, as Golfernutflorida mentioned, the Office apps folder is in the Start menu on mUns (and I believe thats where it was at in MBE too). So they are there and they work (I've used Word and Excel a few times now on the mUn rom).
Also remember that Faria has said he's coming out with a Vanilla rom also. But I do have to say I'm pretty happy with the mUn rom right now so am staying with it for now.

Ok good I will try again. I knew they had to be there. BTW how is the battery drain on the mUn`s ROM specially with data usage ? Cuz Faria`s ROM the data usage drains the battery like crazy, and thats the main reason that I want to switch to a diffrent ROM.

If you can wait a little Faria has said (repeatedly) that he is going to release a vanilla version of his WM6. My sense is that people keep PM'ing him and asking for this over and over and over... I think that kind of 'interuption' only delays the release (because there is only so much time in the day...)

That's way I don't ask ' ROM-developers' by PM. They all are doing a great yob and when they have someting new, they tell us. I think they are going mad for all the pm's they receive.

I've already realized that one also. It seems to be a variance very similar to PDA Viet versions you can find out there. I didn't like those versions myself. I think that it includes some new apps and new custom interface. No much impressive!

- repair system sound (you have sound when click Start like WM5.0).

On my opinion, you guys have a lot to talk. Anichillus has done a really amazing ROM as others here (Faria, Molski, etc...) including yours!
I´ve played around with mUn´s ROM before I upgrade to X-plore. I enjoyed a lot! But you have to agree with me that as we have so many options out there, the choose for one or another is basically decided over tests and previous comments made by ourselves or cookers, like you.
X-plore possibly won´t be the final WM6 rom available this year. We´ll see more coming and coming...So, until I decide to have my own hell´s kitchen, I wanna thank you all a lot for cooking these monsters for us!

Every ROM is diffrent in its own way. To each thier own. LOL. I knida like the X-plore ROM. Only thing is if i change the theme from default then go back, the same issue remains that the bars are not 3d anymore. LOL. Until someone gets that resolved I guess we will all see that alot.

can anyone tell me how to get rid of this UGLY "NEW" comm manager style? Anyone like it? Iam really scared of the graphics which can some people cook into their roms and new version of OCTAVOI has this version of commman too, so its the hell on earth for me! like someone steal my candy!
Is there a ROM based on new build which has not USELESS things cooked into? I just want new build with original Microsoft/HTC/Touch/Cube graphics!
I dont know if this comm man is originally styled by HTC if its true so its first styled component/application i dont really like and it sucks my blood...

i second that but then that would only mean that we would have to help the chefs on this site. they offer us cooked roms with many customization. im sure they dont have time for graphics so lets get sometalented members to help out make the future roms look sexy. perhaps we can have a graphics area for all the phones since there many that would be comon.
Look for the 9 button or 10 Button Kaiser CommManager. Thats what I use in XM6 and is what you are asking for. I agree, I don't care for the other commManager's looks (although, the "Nuclear Powerplant one" you point out isn't too bad but I still like the other).
I'll look to see if I have a cab, but I have the packages (and they've been posted here. I know theloon's kitchen for the 318 rom has the Kaiser CommManager package and that can be used on any rom you cook (its not 318 specific).

Personally I've found the 318 rom (even though its "older") much more stable than the "newer" (higher number) builds which are all ports from other devices. I'd be curious what is in the newer stuff that you think is better (not a trick question, just wondering what I'm missing or what I can look to improve in a 318 build).

100% agree ... i am able to do some things, but as i looked around there are also the others who wants... the boot-ups logos drafts for TNT was great... If anyone wants to help with some design things, just contact me

The thing that i really hate about it is this red/greed circles. It is absolutelly ugly in my eyes and this have not to be in such pretty graphics. All is in one style done with perfection and this is what breaking all. Also the ON/OFF text isnt great there.

Its nothing special with roms i think. Its something in me. Specific HIGHER NUMBER SYNDROM ;-) ... but you all are true. I missed reading what are the advantages and just flash, but what was the best rom ever? For me it was faria's AIRAF Stable, great, but missing OneNote (i though that PS's Office2007 can install it to WM device). So the answer is: The bug in me

Hey man, just downloading it, im currious if it will be okay for me. I just want the HomeScreen plugin (this big clock are great and well styled so it fits my needs) and also the Touch/Cube graphics is perfect, but i dont know if its available in .318 versions.

Go over to the Kaiser forum and there is a sticky for a list of cabs. Dutty has a site where you can download cabs, and I believe this one is there. If not, ask in that thread and someone will probably have it for you.

download unsigner, use it, do reshack operation(change resources), sign commgr.exe, cook rom/overwrite/shadow file. be happy.

Unfortunately, there's been some unnecessary talk in my thread that has forced me to request a mod to delete it. In no way does this mean FingerMe is going to stop being developed, I will be releasing 0.5 soon in a new thread.
I also request that other people respect other's threads. We are a community here to help other people, and that has always been our mission. However, it gets difficult sometimes when our fellow cooks and users feel that their opinions mean more than the respect of others. It takes a lot of time and effort into making these ROMs, and many of the greatest cooks in these threads have had to sacrifice many hours of each day to try to make something great for you as a community. Therefore true respect is the very best gift you can give someone, but the very least that they deserve. You as a community of users and flashers of my ROMs are the ONLY judges to how well I can cook for you.

Looks like all the good HTC Mega packages are in there. I thought about releasing a ROM with them, too, but I decided that I'm going to stick to kitchen making for now.
I love the fact that we finally have full QVGA versions of all those programs instead of ported versions.
How's that comm manager treating you? It doesn't seem to like the Wing/Herald without some mods.

Well I haven't done a ton of testing on it. I just added the OEM packages and it worked. Haven't done a ton of testing on it. Just basic testing, and so far everything on that works.
Most of the modding I had to do was to get these things to work well with 6.1, but it's looking more and more like FingerMe 1.0 will be a Windows Mobile 6.5 release... I'll have to see how the RAM looks though.

Huh, I'd think it'd work on any ROM.
Does your WiFi work like normal??
And this ROM shouldn't be any different than the Ava ROM or the PointROM. They're all the same kitchen, and apreincher didn't change anything that would break WiFi.

Yep, unfortunately, those packages are meant to work with 6.5 so they go nutz with 6.1 at times.

The free version of WifiRouter or whatever it's called isn't compatible with most 6.1 builds or any 6.5 builds.
Did you fix the problem of the growing cprog file that eventually eats up all storage memory. This has been reported to be a problem with the phone canvas from HTC mega
This will be my first ROM. It may also be my final ROM, depending on how my sister likes it. I just ordered the Touch Pro 2 and am giving my Wing to my younger sister. This ROM will be made with SuperJustKitchen and include the new MotoSurf today plugin. I am trying to keep things as simple and stable as possible, that way people won't have it crashing all the time. I chose to use 6.1 because it would have more free memory than any 6.5 ROM. Screenshots and features will be edited in in a couple days.

It's still his own ROM. It's good to have variety and different mixes of things.
That's how things became the way they are now. Variety is life. ^_^

That's just a lot of work though, to get something nearly identical to apreincher's ROM. And, those Mega packages aren't the easiest to work with. I'd personally just use Apreincher's ROM for a Mega-like ROM.

How do you know it won't be better if you never let it be?
For the longest time, when the great cooks of the herald were around, I was considered a minor player due to the fact that I made clean ROMs only. This was seen as a waste of time. Ttran was also seen as a copy of itje. But that later developed into a WHOLE different type of ROM. Every cook has dealt with a similar "this has already been made." Granted, this IS VERY similar (minus having my SuperJustKitchen ROM as a base instead of my JustMe's OEM as a base. (Since all other current kitchens are based off of my JustMe ROM. (Unless Apreincher started from scratch, which is cool either way.)
If he wants to make one from scratch (Well.. from my kitchen) then he should at least try. Worse case scenario, he will learn something from it. If it's worse than Apreincher's then he would have learned how to cook. If it's better, then you will have gained another great ROM.

I have to agree with you on that note. The best you can do is to hope for the best, and learn from the mistakes. And I can promise you it wont be very hard to create something better than I have created. In fact, I hope he does do better. It raises the bar a little bit higher and makes me reach.

I was under the impression originality defined variety, but I see your point. I think my comment was directed to both the name of the ROM and the content.
Ah, sorry about that. I just barely started cooking this, anyway. So, for variety, why don't I take feature requests? Not only will this make the cooking process faster (until I meet a bug), but it will make it more enjoyable for all.

Wouldn't that slow down the cooking proccess? Requests are usually to add things, lol.
But one essential program is Opera Mini. If you need the OEM, then I can provide it, brougt to you by Ivanmmj.
Alright, nix the feature requests. I also changed the concept. Might as well try something new. Besides, the person who's getting the ROM hated Titanium and Manila.

Lol. If you're trying MotoSurf, good luck.
First, that thing is a RAM hog.
Second, getting it to start up initially is tricky. You've gotta manually check it off in the Today settings, unless you somehow figure out the registry for that. Mr. Ill couldn't figure it out.
But good luck Mr. Elaztic. It's always good to start something new!
It has to be a variation of:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Moto_HomeScreen"]
"Enabled"=dword:1
But after 4 different tries i gave up for now maybe you will have better luck.
I was trying on WM6.5 though.

Well, this will be a 6.1 ROM. I need as much RAM as possible, so it will likely also be a clean ROM. Right now I'm trying out different things on my current ROM to see how the plugin works.
