As the title says, what is the correct syntax for a browser shortcut to point at the latest post in a thread. Obviously you would not know the actual post number as it would be constantly changing.
Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist,
I tried this too, but I can't find a way. You can ask the Admins here:

No probs
Go to the bottom of the thread that you wish to make a shortcut to the latest post.
Right click on the Previous Thread or Next Thread arrows (just below the Quick Reply panel) and Copy Link Location
Right click the desktop, choose New then Shortcut.
Paste into the box the address you have and replace the word after goto= with newpost
Click next and follow the prompts to complete the shortcut creation :victory: :good:
(I'm describing what I do using Firefox but it will be very similar with other browsers)

Hello,
You can use postimage or imgur to put up a direct link.

Not sure I am following you. I searched for "postimage" and "imgur" and could not find anything of significance on the XDA forums.
I am surprised the Microsoft "Snipping Tool" under Accessories is not straight forward but I could not see a way to paste that image in a forum thread. I can copy just what I need but could not find a way to paste it in an XDA thread.

Hello,
You can take a screenshot and upload it to postimage or imgur and copy the direct link.
Code:
[IMG][/IMG]
Or you can attach it from attachments at the taskbar.

Ok, this is the attachment.
Sorry, I do not mean to be so remedial but what are the steps to take the screenshot/snipping tool image below and do a postimage or a imgur and copy the direct link.
Still not sure how to accomplish this cut and paste.
