So, to continue my question, I am unable to make an OEM package out of the Tilt keyboard fix, does anyone know a workaround to this, or have a copy of that file. Better yet, could someone elaborate as to what changes the Keyboard fix actually makes (aside from the obvious). What is it doing behind the scenes?
EDIT: I released a fix for my problem here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359143
Add this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
"CWSLayout"=dword:1

I found a thread somewhere on this but I can't find it now. Is anyone working on porting this to the Wizard. I have an installer and installed it but it come up with "Failed to initialize camera". I know the person who posted this was thinking of giving up on it. This would be the final polish on all the Touch conversions. Just wondering before I start digging around in my registry...

They moved it to the general section of the main forum. The post is dead because it appears to require a diffrent driver and the camera's on the wiz are having issues with getting the right quality setting or something like that. I have gotten it to load and install on wiz from cooking but cant use the single shot camera. It only works with the action deal and will not take full size.
Hmm...perhaps there's a way to combine the interface from 4.11 with the older camera driver. I'm not much of a coder, but it seems that if porting the formerly thought "impossible" TouchFlo was possible, than maybe this is too. I'm hoping to inspire someone much smarter than me to try and tackle this...
I am working on it now and should have it ready sometime next week.
That's awesome. I will be more than happy to beta test...
Hi guys I have got it working on my Prophet Touch rom and there is a oem package for it to located in this thread Here all that needs to be done is change the model name in the rgu file and it should work on Wizard.
In the OEM package did you mean to set the file name as .rgu not .rug?
Also where abouts is the Device ID setting your reffering to in the RGU?

that doesn't work i've tried, i think it's because wizard was a 1.3mp camera and original touch has like a 2.0mp so it fails to initialize or something

that could be the problem I didn't know that but if you change the picture setting within the reg or even maybe inport the regs from camera 3.3
I got it working slightly.
I replaced some of the drivers with the ones from my current camera app. The photo mode wouldnt work but it was happily running and the on screen controls were working nicely.
You probably know more about the camera drivers than me so maybe you would know which drivers to replace but I can confirm it ran although I used the cab method.
I've spent a good half hour searching for the answer to this and can't find it. Find posts on everything else under the sun, but not this. I want to make the PocketCM Keyboard into my default input panel. I know I've seen it before but I can't for the life of me find it. I tried using Registry Wizard to do it earlier and only ended up completely trashing my phone and making it non-bootable. So that's obviously NOT the answer.
Edit: This program seems to be the answer, SIPChange
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271008
Search for program called SIPChange.
If You experience problems finding it, give me a message.
Thanks! That was what I needed. I got it now. I went ahead and edited the first post with the fix in case anyone else needs it.
I was wondering if there was any way to add hebrew keyboard support to my HTC Ozone... I know I have to do something to the kmap or something, and then somewhere else said something about the registry.... on second thought - can someone just walk me through it step by step assuming (correctly, i might add) that I know absolutely nothing?
Thanks in advance.
Hi guys, I have a TP2. I have a quick question. I'm pretty sure before I did the update to the 6.5 the accelerometer would work when i put the phone on landscape with out taking out the keyboard. Also wasn't there an option on 6.1 that let you set it to auto? it no where to be found. is there a fix for this? please help/advise thanks
I think g-sensor list can fix this. List of links here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430541
Thanks dude
That didn't really help to much there isn't anything in there about the problem i'm having...sux...
this one doesn't do it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991
this should also work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403939
lol i was looking at that one now, do you think it would work with the new 6.5 update?
i tried the first one, i it work. like it should but i just noticed that is doesn't work with the new touch FLO. (looking into the 2nd link now)
It should, hard to say because i'm not sure which registry files it changes.
If not I attached the old file I used to get it working (mind you this changes so it always switches to landscape I believe). Back up your registry before you load the attached file because I haven't tested it with multiple ROMs.
I got Gyrator to work! problem solved thanks
Hi there,
I tried the search function but maybe I did not use the right terms since I did not get an answer. So please accept my apologies if this question has already been answered and point me to the corresponding thread.
I would like to know whether one could copy the Samsung app SmartStay to another non-Samsung device. Did someone already tried this?
Cheers,
Anton
If I would like to code this myself, do you see any big issues? Of course, I need a phone with a front camera but are there other prerequisites? Has anyone already coded something like this?
