Clear Storage? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I have been working on a ROM for the past few days, and I just recently realized that I deleted the files required for Clear Storage. I have been extracting other ROMS that I know have ClearStorage, but I cannot seem to find the files required in OEMDrivers. Could anyone provide me a copy of the ClearStorage files?
I know Alex includes a version of ClearStorage in his package collection, but it is not the one from the shipped ROM, and therefore not what I am looking for.

Hi you can find this file in ROM Folders(Rar file which you are download). So go to OEM\OEMDrivers and you will find it and then extract it to your OEM\OEMDrivers folder.

I figured out my problem, I had show hidden system files disabled.

How to... copy/move files stored in a Smartphone ROM?

I can't copy or move files stored in device ROM.
I've tried with Resco Explorer and Total Commander, but without success.
I didn't understand if there's a registry hack that allows these operations.
I've notice (or so it seemed to me) that I was able to substitute/copy/move some files having the ROM attribute, but many others not (eg: I've tried to copy the nleddrvr_sec.dll, obviously without success, otherwise I'd post this here!).
Surfing in many forums, I read many others asking for the same thing, unfortunately I haven't seen answers to their question about this.
Hope someone explains to me how to do or why is impossible to do.

You can not copy / move / delete files in ROM. Thats the point of "Read Only Memory"
These files are not stored as individual files but are in fact packed in a special way as part of the device image which can only be written (flashed) by special tools.
If you want to extract OS files you need to use a ROM dump tool.
I suggest you look in the WiKi.
What you can do is overwrite one or more "ROM files". What will happen in reality is that a copy of the file with the same name will be placed in storage memory and the system will go there. If you hard reset your device or rename the file it will go back to the original file.

As you said here and here (Changing Files in Windows Dir )
it's impossible to move/copy ROM files, just overwrite 'em.
Doing so the system looking for these overwritten copies.
So now the question are:
- there's a registry entry that points to this substitute ROM files?
- to modify an existent file resident in ROM I MUST dump my ROM or another one same or similar?
Mersì bo q, anyway.

Customizing .nb0 (ROM) files

Hi everyone,
My PDA support center distributes updated roms in "nb0" file format, I was wondering if anyone could help me throught openning this file and doing some modification. Since there are many unusefull applications inside it and I want to delete or subsitite them. I read some topics about cooking roms in forum but I cann't find any information about customizing "nb0" files.
Thanks!
Pedram
Fortunetly, I could dump content of ".nb0" file with tools provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=249836 (Beta: WM5 ROM editing tool). I got pleanty of files in dump folder. It's har for me to diffrentiate which file is which!
Could any one help me to find my voice command application inside this dumped rom and repalce it with another voice commmand application such as MS voice command?
There are some files and directories with this name in my dumped rom:
VoiceBar.dll, VoiceCtl.dll, voicedll.dll, VBarCall.dll, VCOMCtl.dll
I am really confused! I do not know what files should I delete or where copy new files.
Thanks in advanced.

Remove original files in Extended Rom folder before Upgrade

Hi all,
I have downloaded a ROM from the ftp site which was a ZIP file containing many CAB files together with Autorun.exe, TPDisable.exe etc...
I know I have to copy these into the Extended ROM folder to then upgrade the ROM (or do I ??) but how do I remove the current files in there because they are all Read Only.
If this is not the correct way to upgrade the ROM, then how do I go about doing so ?
Many thanks

cab uninstallation cache?? retrieving in-use system dll

If someone installs a cab that overwrites a system dll but makes a copy of the dll somewhere to restore when the time comes to uninstall that application, where would I find that copy? I am having a heck of a time trying to copy a stock dll from my phone. I can overwrite the dll when I install the app and when I uninstall it the old one is back. the stock one is 14k and the other is 20k. they are different files altogether. I thought maybe if I could get at the file while it was stored away in the cab manager then I could retrieve the file and life could go on. I can't just copy the file with activesync - it says access denied. I try to copy it with total commander on the device and that does not work. I even wrote a mortscript to copy the file and that did not work either. I think it is because the file is in use - it's the file that controls the data connection. I tried shutting off the data connection but still cannot get to it. can anyone offer any tips?
another Idea might be to include mortscript as an OEM and then execute the script that copies the file during autorun right after the rom is flashed?
thanks all.
edit: same result when trying to copy the dll from a stock sprint, touch pro, custom rom sprint tp, or custom rom verizon tp

copy opengl .dll's from device?

Hi,
To link a gl app I need the respective .lib's for
libEGL.dll
libGLES_CM.dll
libGLESv1_CM.dll
libGLESv2.dll
I know how to turn these into libs once I've extracted the files, but here lies the problem.
when I try to copy them from the windows directory I get the message
"access is denied"
Anyone know how to grab these files from the device?
Jim
they are modules. so not easy to get out of a live rom..
it is easier to extract them from a dumped rom
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I dumped the ROM, extracted the .dll's and turned them into libs. I wanted to post them here so other dev's can use them.
headers are available from khronos group.
I've dumped the openVG as this is part of the EGL package.

dumping the rom
Hi dattrax,
can you describe how you dumped the rom and extracted the dll's.
I need to do the same thing.
Thanks
