Flashing ROMs without ActiveSync? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can someone please help?
My wizard start-up doesn't go past the blackdiamond loading screen anymore. Kept getting the 'cannot execute files' errors so I decided to reset. Did soft reset a few times but still getting those errors so I proceeded to do a hard reset. After that, this happened. Reset a few times but still couldn't load.
I can't flash any ROM without ActiveSync now. Anything I can do?

Okay, can finally get back in with hard reset.
Can't seem to get rid of those errors though. Anyone knows how?
Thanks.

I suggest to reflash it with another ROM
Boot your Wizard to the bootloader screen (hold camera button and power on button), connect to you PC and run RUU flasher of another ROM... should work

Problem running wm6...

I have tried 4 different versions of WM6 from here...Some of them after the upgrade do not run at all.The device hungs up at the splash screen, i reset the device ,hard reset the device ,remove the battery but nothing happens.
This lately occured after installing faria's rom.
Other roms after entering the main screen ,start menu etc, they crash which after each reset happens over and over again...
I'm starting to wonder...is something wrong with my device?
Many times this happens even with the official qtek rom.
Just a question, have you unlocked your phone?
How do i tell if its unlocked or not?
I never had a single problem during an upgrade...but crashes keep on happening right after or in the proccess of a hard reset, i repeat , even with the official ROM, which took me today 2 hours to make it install and run smoothly at last! (unexpected resets , not loading after hard or soft reset)
The device now works fine but it took me so much time to bring it to that condition that i wont be flashing it again unless something very bad happens.
put your device on bootloader then downgrade it to your official rom then after running you have to unlock before reupgrade to any other WM6.0 rom

severe problem with my vox

hi everyone. yesterday i installed dr. gonzo's wm6.1 rom in my VOX. it was great and it worked perfectly in my phone.
The main problem started when i restored the backuped data. I took, This backup with sprite backup tool before upgrading my mobile from wm6.0 to wm6.1. when i restored this data taken in version 6.0, in version 6.1, i found that my homescreen is blank. whenever i press start button i find the following message display on my screen: Cant Find ':MSSTART' (or one of its components). MAKE SURE THAT THE PATH AND FILENAME ARE CORRECT AND THAT ALL THE LIBRARIES ARE AVAILABLE.
The same messge appears when i press any numeric key replacing MSSTAART with MSCDIAL.
Actually, when i backuped the data it also backuped the registry settings and when i restored the data it applied version 6.0 registry settings to version 6.1.
Now, neither my phone is getting connected to the activesync nor it is getting HARD RESET(I tried many times to Hard Reset it, but never succeeded. What happens is that as soon as i press the POWER button while holding both the soft keys, the phone TURNS OFF).
Please cananyboby help me? can anybody tell me that is there any other way to hard reset? or, how can i restore the phone back to factory settings?
Thanks for understanding my problem so patiently.
hoping to get a solution soon.
thanks
Get the battery out for a few seconds and put it back, and then do a hard reset.
But I think that you are not doing hard reset correctly, you have to press power button and both soft keys while your phone is turned OFF, then your phone will ask you to pres green button and it will do a hard reset.
must press the green dail key to comfirm the reset operation
error in uPgrading the ROM
Ive tried many times to hard reset but it dosent seems to take place. i tried to reflash my phone from the bootloader mode but it dosent seem to fi my problem. it showed an error while reflashing stating IMAGE FILE IS CORRUPT. IVE attached an image of that error.
any help???
LOL~~~
I see, first shut down your s710, hold the 2 soft keys
and then press the power button shortly (must not too long)
ive performed hardreset 3 times earlier but this time i cant hard reset just because of the problem. the problem is that none of its functions are working. i really need some help this time!!!
I am using this rom, it can be hardset by this method.
hold the 2 soft keys utill dialog show, press the power about 1.5-2 sec.
Hard reset capabilities are not dependant on the ROM. You need to properly flash with a signed HTC ROM or USPL and then an unsigned ROM. I don't think you're doing the proper steps involved to hard reset or to flash correctly. Re-read the Wiki.
Problem Solved
I was trying to flash 6.1 version after the problem occured so it showed IMAGE FILE currupt. Then I tried to flash the original(manufacturer's) version in the bootloader mode. everything went properly and my vox flashed perfectly. Now i've once again flashed the 6.1 version and is working great.
'My hearty Thanks' to everyone for the help and support.

Fuze is freaking out...

No matter what rom i flash on my fuze, it always hard resets itself after a soft reset. It always says "setting up your windows device" after a soft reset, which erases everything. Or, on the rare occurrence it doesnt do that, after a soft reset, it will load up, but nothing is there, as in no programs, weird numbers and letters, etc. I havent had a problem loading a rom before until NATF 4.6, but i have the same problem with ShEps rom, i just dont get it
try flashing back to OEM rom and then try to flash to a different rom. Try someone elses who you haven't tried flashing before.

Factory reset not working

Had a problem where the device froze and wouldn't respond so eventually had to remove battery. After that it wouldn't boot and just stuck at the white HTC screen. I've tried a factory reset but it just freezes and doesn't respond.
Is there any way of recovering from this or is it bricked?
Did you try factory reset from the bootloader menu? (VOLDOWN+POWER)
Yeah it just freezes when I select it from the menu.
That's very strange, but I don't believe it is bricked. At this point I'd try flashing an RUU (HERE).
You have to select the right one for your area/carrier...

[Q] Hard Bricked, Security Error Boot Loop D800 after Lollipop OTA attempt.

Hey XDA,
I have a D800 that is totally stock. I have no custom recovery, and have never rooted the device.
A couple days ago I got the notification for an OTA update. I hit the notification, and rebooted the phone. It started the update process. It got through the first step. When it started the second part of the update, a black box popped up, and a code like "ERR 0x04ff" or something like that popped up. The phone rebooted, and got stuck in a boot loop with a "Security Error." The phone will boot up, show the LG logo, then show a slightly different LG logo with "Security Error" underneath it, then reboot and start the process over. I started messing around with the power button and volume keys to see what different modes I could boot it into. Initially I could boot it to the Factory data reset screen, the Hardware Mode Keys screen, and I got it into Download mode once. I didn't have any of the software or files available at the time to do anything with Download mode, so I opted to try a Factory reset. The phone attempted a Factory Reset. The little android with wiggly ears, and the spinny cube thingy popped up for about 4 seconds, and the phone rebooted.
Since trying that initial Factory Reset, I have been unable to get the phone into Download mode. I've tried doing the Factory Reset multiple times to no avail. I have not seen fastboot at all.
At this point, the only thing I can do with the phone is boot it to the Factory Data Reset screen, and to the Hardware Keys Mode screen. It will not do a factory reset. The android pops up for about 1-2 seconds, and the phone reboots, and goes right back to the boot loop with the security error.
I'm at a loss at this point. I've called AT&T, and unfortunately my phone is out of warranty by about 3 weeks. So they can't just mail me a replacement. Does anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to get it to be recognized by my PC, on Windows or Ubuntu. I get the feeling that it's just hard bricked, and there really isn't anything else I can try.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
TL-DR: Totally stock D800, no custom recovery or root. Security Error Boot Loop after OTA attempt. No download mode or fastboot, factory reset is ineffective. Not recognized by PC. What do I do now?

Thanks for the reply. I was about to reply saying my phone wouldn't go into download mode, but then I randomly decided to use a different usb port, and now it went into download mode.
I'll give it a shot now and see what i can do
Ok, It seems I'm back up and running. I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 which re-flashed me to 4.2.2. I'm going to try and upgrade using LG PC Suite from my laptop, and see if I have better luck this time.
Lesson learned, try every USB port when trying to boot into download mode.
Thanks for the help
