Tilt Phone gets hot when using bluetooth headset - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I have had my Tilt for about a month now purchased from the AT&T store and recently purchased Motorola's S9 stereo headphones. After about 2-4 hours of listening to music, my Tilt gets really hot. The wierd part is is doesn't get hot otherwise.

Is this unusal or has anybody else heard about this happening?
If it is recommended I return the phone (hopefully not) can someone post the origional Tilt software. I have downloaded alot of plugins I don't know if they will let me return it.
Thanks,... The new guy (Bw)

Which player are you using? All my phones in the last few months have turned hot while listening to music with the S9 including the kaiser, this is because when you listen to music via A2DP the processor works faster. I tested this on my E6, when i listened to music through wired headsets the processor was running at 207Mhz and with the S9 it was running at 312 Mhz. So I guess its the same with the Kaiser

I have been using pocket player and the windows media player that was pre-installed in the tilt, I get the same problem with either player.
Is there a fix for the Mhz issue?,..... besides getting another headset.
I haven't tried regular headphones yet, I have to buy one that has a usb type plugin.
Regards,
Bw

It'll happen with any bluetooth headset. Dont worry its not a problem. Although the wired headset would be a solution. And it will happen with any phone not just the Tilt

Battery drain
That's totally normal. Bluetooth (especially a2dp) uses a lot of battery power. Battery drain = hot battery. Simple as that.

i have an older version of the same headset. 8200 or something is the model number...
mine works fab.. but dont try to multitask with it.. otherwise you have a 2 min battery.

Bluetooth Hi Fi Speakers?

I love my XDA II.........it protects me from stealth charges, tells me where to go, gives me email/sms/phone etc, plus it's great for MP3's.
I want to use it as a Hi Fi around the house though as well...... is there any solution such as big powerful Bluetooth speakers that I can drop into the kitchen or any room I think suits?
Just an idea.....
Oh...also the ring tone on the alarm clock isn't good enough to wake me up......so any ideas here are appreciated too....!!
Many thanks
David
i agree with the alarm thingie..
heres what i did.. got an mp3 with really load music ( which i like ) opened a sound edit program like cool edit pro etc then increase the decibels.. it works like a charm

Alarm Clock
Hi guys,
For the alarm clock:
pTravelAlarm is the best I have found (I am not an early bird!)
http://www.burroak.on.ca/pta.html <<< for features
Available from Handango - can't remember where I got mine from though as I didn't pay that much!
You can use your own music files for the alarm sounds (just dump the file in the correct directory)

Hi guys, just something along the lines of what is being discussed in this thread, concerning music around the house - I wanted to stream music off my home network using my XDA2s's WiFi connection....and then wirelessly send it to some bluetooth receiver with a line out socket....connected to an amp + speakers....thus i would be able to CONTROL the sound using the XDA and PLAY it on my existing sound system, instead of getting seperate speakers...
Has anyone had success in implementing something like this? In principle this seems relatively simple, I guess if there is any bluetooth headset on the market with a line out facility it could also be used for this purpose...
What do u folks think?? Has anyone tried this out or know of any such bluetooth music receivers that can synch with the XDA2s??

Remember seeing an application somewhere that allowed you to use your XDA as a remote control for your PC, to control a media player, via wi-fi.... can't remember where it was though........
This is the route I will be going to control my Windows MCE via Wlan.

Bluetooth stereo headset with caller ID screen?

I'm after a bluetooth stereo headset that has a screen with caller ID compatible with my Nexus One
I'd rather get one without headphones included as I want to use my own but if they have to be then they need to be replaceable.
Any suggestions?
Something like this - Sony Ericsson MW600

But are they compatible with the Nexus One?
Would the caller ID work?

Its the Sony Ericsson MW600. I have it and still use in the office after hours. The only thing it cannot do is show the track info on the display. However, caller ID does show. Only negative in my book is the volume slider is touch sensitive and can be picky at times, but works. Bottom line it is compatible and for a unit with FM transmitter built in and a rockin' battery life, I would recommend it.

Thanks, just what I wanted to hear.
I'm sure I read somewhere though that track info does show?
Well if there was an update to the firmware I don't have it LOL. I am using it right now and the track info does not work off the N1. However you can read the track info when a song is played using the FM transmitter on the headset. Go fig lol.
Ah well, ordered one anyway!
£29.99 seemed quite a reasonable price.

Don't get me wrong, I love it, that is only a minor gripe. The sound IMO is great for a BT headset. And trust me I have gone through my series of headsets lol....
Received my MW-600 today, will post my thoughts after some testing.
Been two days man! lol Any mini review?

[Q] BT devices

Hi,
I would like if somebody can recommend some BT devices, earphones or car mounted. I used plantronics mid range and was not satisfied with it (iPhone 3 + Plantronics had problems to connect, dropped connections, battery drain because they was constantly negotiating...).
Can you share your experience with BT devices please? I'm driving a lot and holding a phone while driving is forbidden. Also, corded earphones gives me a trouble while stearing because cord is always on a steering wheel.
I'm using Nokia BH-503 and it was superb. With good bass and treble, you would surely be satisfied. Plus, it has its own volume control, easy to config, and loud (yep, it can be turned into personal speaker).
Battery life was great, with 3 hours charging time, you could get more than 3 days of music and calls combined.
And the red/black back ear design was cool!
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
EDIT: 3 days of normal usage - about 4 hours of music, 5 to 8 phone calls per day.

I have them. Thumb up

Well, I had once listening to music all the night about 8 hours straight with my DHD, it was left out with 21% from 69%. Well, most of the time the screen was off obviously. With (very) few phone calls and messages. And it was in stock rom. Dunno if its good or bad though. But its all depend on your usage, rom etc.

I am using my ancient TECH Clip R35 Bluetooth (talk/music time 6hr, standby 150 hr) with a pair of Shure 530 earphone. The sound from both combo is simply WOW, better than plug the earphone straight into the socket. How is that possible? I have no idea.
The power comsumption is about 60-70ma with bluetooth. 85-95ma with wire
on a CM7 powered HDH.

I was looking at this headset, but I was wondering if the side buttons work for pausing and skipping music?
MW600 works like a charm
I'm using the MW600 since a few months.
First with my HTC Legend and now with the Sensation.
The controls work just fine on both phones.
On my Legend it had problems with the integrated mic, thus making it unuseable as handsfree kit, but on the sensation it works like a charm.
Only thing that's missing (but that seems to be a general Android problem) is voice dial. You can accept calls with the phone button on the bt adapter, but you can't use it to issue new calls.

Audio Latency Problem,

I have been trying a few audio latency (ms) apps and i'm getting around 150-200 ms. Which makes Android phones in general unusable when using apps for music creation or timing or rhythm based games.
Is there any way i can root it and fix this using a different codec or driver?
Will this be improved in Android Q?
iPhones for example usually has a latency (ms) of between 8 and 22 ms.
Any news on this or fixes or something i can do myself?
Are you actually using YouTube, Netflix Hulu, or others and see the latency? I see no latency in any videos or the few games I play. I'm also using wireless Bullets.
Where did you get that high numbers?

Bluetooth has notoriously high latency. If it's not using AptX low latency, it's going to be in the 100-200's
Here's a receiver transmitter combo you can put in your car.

While this is typically true, I have had devices when using an iPhone connected via Bluetooth that have seemingly no latency.
For years iOS has always had better latency than Android. It is exactly why Android doesn't have as much music creation apps or rhythm games as iOS.
Even a Google search of "iOS vs Android audio latency" backs this up with tons of articles, tests, and reports about it.
You can improve the latency in developers option as well. Use the codec that matches your headphones or device. It by default uses a generic codec compatible with most devices. Also you could change the sample rate.
Version of bt
I'm really sad about that all you guys forget there is 2 device if you speak about Bluetooth connection. So useless ur OnePlus have bt 5.0 what can have 8 Ms latency if u use an old crappy Chinese headphones with bt 2.0 . For example my headphones have almost zero latency till in my 2012 Peugeot the music is 5 sec late !
