We would like to show what we currently have planned for the first polaris cooked rom. If u would like to change or add/remove please reply with your suggestions. If we can't decide on a specific item then we will create a poll.

maybe some app for the camera?
especially i'm a bit disappointed with the video recording function... the framerate is compareable with Crysis on a 386' system ^^
hope that the video drivers come out soon... (someone needs to kick htc&quallcom's asses)

Oxios apps, is more agree, Hybernate and Close Apps....for add, remove all image stored is unneccessary... thanks

One more crucial (IMHO) addon - Anti-theft s/w
Since I'm the unfortunate (previous) owner of a stolen Artemis I strongly believe that all cookers should include an anti-theft software as part of the cooked ROM(s). There are several pieces of free software out there, even exploiting GPS for tracking down the vicious marauders. I was planning to install a s/w to my device but I kept postponing it for later and later until the unfortunate happened.

I second that! It would really help to push back the numerous thefts of stolen mobile phones!

Could someone tell me, why you would include all the software in the ROM instead of keeping the ROM small and basic, and let everyone install, what they find necessary?

Agree even if I dont have Polaris (yet), I think some "little lite basic" basic ROM with only factory programs in new versions etc or maybe even less programs (without some duplicate or unnecessary ones) with priority on high performance (system tweaks, registry changes or program tweaks) will be also great.
Sometimes "Less is more!" ;-)

I don't have a polaris yet, but I've heard that the SMS doesn't have standard emoticons (just like forum emoticons or something) in it. I wonder if you could add those in as well? I think that a lot of people use those, but everybody forgets about it

these are only roms i am working on now. lite roms will come though. im listening to suggestions so keep them coming. once we have a bit more the team will decide what else to add into full. most likely if there are 2 programs on here with same purpose then all ur suggestions will be included.

I too would like a lite ROM (preferably 2 with/without Touch Flow version) or at least have any additional files (other than OS\Radio\etc. updates) uninstallable.

Personally I think that the rom it must be fast therefore must contain the software necessary, leaving then the customer the choice to install other software thanks boys

I would like to see a Lite ROM with business oriented programs and an emphasis on performance.
Like the Q-mobile ROM for the TYTN II. IMHO

Me too.. and i would prefer different Cabs for easy customizing, but the thief should not have to put the anti-theft software himself after a hard-reset

As I don't have a TyTN II and no HTC device anymore, my only motivation to continue making new ROMs is to support the large community of users who use my ROMs. I'm doing it for free and put a lot of efforts in this work, so I hope you will support me as well!

Those ROMs are TouchFLO-enabled but there is no Cube application included! I let you the choice to install the one you prefer. For the next ROMs I am working on a new exclusive touch interface, much more interesting than a simple cube...

Can't re-align screen: FTouchFLO is not compatible with screen alignment, disable FTouchFLO first (see FTouchFLO development thread).

I am flashing as we speak with Full 4.22. Any glitches so far guys? I think it is going to be one hell of a ROM... The Tip jar is calling..... I was using AT&T OEM Lite ( SR while starting ), I am a bit dissatisfied with the Internet and the Ringer Volume... I hope all those issues have been addressed in Schaps 4.22.

Smart dialing with the default settings does not work,

Smart dialing options,
un-ticked all options and kept the "enable smart dialing"

I also had an usual low free program ram...
Solution:
in Schap's advanced config application I set the file system cashe to "Auto" and soft rest, managed to reclaim 10 mb

How do I enable the blue/black dialer shown in the bonus downloads (post #4)? I don't see a cab or file that enables this?

Help Installing
When I try to install the new ROM, I get to having the three color bands on the phone, then the progress bar shows up, then the software somehow closes Activesync and the program times out. The phone recovers easily by r/r the battery. I tried it with and without the antivirus software running. Any suggestions on what's happening and how I can get this ROM loaded? Thanks.

At the moment, Voice Command has only been released in one "leaked" 19209 ROM and so the moderators have said if you cook that ROM and leave it in, that's fine, but you can't include it in any other ROM. If an official shipped ROM comes out with VC in it, then it's considered public and we can then cook it in any ROM we want.

I like Vanilla version but since it doesn't have Smartkey, the most convenience program, so I am using Office version instead. I don't know somehow the smartkey cab will not close app but minimize even I modify smartkey.ini , closeapp=1. Can someone share a working smartkey cab? I am downloading this ROM now...

Only in TNT vanilla version cause it has an autorun programed to launch your stuff in a hard reset, something like Customization extra UC in your mini sd card. and believe me it cost to you to much space on memory.

How can I make the bars turnsin black! black black! not gray... black, iknow that i can change a registry in hklm/software/microsoft/color the hue color to 160 decimal, but when i change to other TSK it change to gray again! is there a cab that keeps the registry with black and when i get other color and back the black was black.

Yes, but only with UC roms. TNT 6.1 rom (19213 actually) are the best for Wizard now, i've tested all the roms for Wizard...nothing compare with TNT...

If you use the Business edition you have the new shell PointUI...no more bar just a new shell...try!

A lot of Diamond Programs are causing problems, so a majority were removed. If you want to have them you can download the beta cabs throughout the forum
Diamond Album was removed due to the problem with the landscape mode and other slideshow problems. Will place back into the rom once it is working properly.

Well, it's running pretty well for me so far. I removed a load of bits and added a few packages for my own personal taste, and it's about as solid as any Kaiser ROM I've used - and possibly a little quicker.

That was my purpose of leaving in the .rgu's and proxml files.... Its a start, I basically wanted a basic ROM with a few goodies, now I am working on customizing the look with my new Adobe CS3 software

There must be something not right with .net. I tried installing .new 2.0 along with 3.5 and I am not able to some of my applications like banakarama and Schaps adv. config.
"cannot open "*". A critical component missing.....

My text goes away when I used the slide our keyboard. I can't see what I'm typing or options in drop-down menus and stuff like that.

I'm not sure why bankarama is not working....just tried myself and got the same error message????
ABout Shaps Adv Config use the Kaiser Tweak installed already in the tools menu and it works fine. Personally I like Kaiser Tweak better as if something changes you only need to change the XML file.....

Thanks for the imput....didn't even notice that when I tried....just so used to using my stylus now I don't use the keyboard that much. I"ll look into that also......

i had the same problem but ive come to notice that only happen when u have the cleartype turned on for landscape mode , im guessing its an issue with the roms cuz ive had the same issue with more dan one....... try turning off the clear type and im sure ull see some improvement

ROM has a very nice feel to it. After trying several PP sizes, it works fastest for me set to dynamic. No issues to report as yet. Good job...

I really like this rom. Everything working very well no problem. There was a little issue on MS VC, I fixed it.

We think, and probably most guys here, that a ROM on a device must be a fast, easy to use and not bloated ROM.
This are going be the main features of the surface RO.
To create a ROM that suits everybody, with enough possibility's to expand to the needs of the user.
A Surface is something that has substance, you can tell it's a Surface because it has detail you can see, and detail you can feel.
How you experience a Surface therefore comes from how you experience it.
And it will change the way you have experienced your ELF up until now.

i would also LOVE to apply as a cook. but i'm not as much experienced as u or ameet, started cooking only 2-3 weeks ago so if there is no 3rd person available for the post, count me in.

I could provide the graphics if you're interested. Although what are you looking for? Redesigned icons/dialer/start screen/etc?
I'd totally want to create a white manila theme for everything.
As for Idea's
I would love to see someone implement the actual Diamond Dialer instead of using a memory intensive DxC theme. I've seen in a couple videos of the diamond that it has a fullscreen similar to S2U2 to answer or ignore. If you get that going I say you're gravy!

Good to see you're back. you're right that not much has changed. Unfortunately I'm not very good with graphics or WM so I can't be of much help in that direction. I can give you my suggestions and hope they are of use.
First one is to make a rom in Diamond style, it's a beautiful style. My second suggestion would be to use iContact (maybe skinned). It's fast and very useful. Since 0.7 it's especially very nice.

I would like flv playback component in WMplayer if possible, or tcpmp player inbuilt
I would like htc audio booster plugin working
I would like htc streaming media player, I think is has flv playback capabilities

I would like to apply for the role of thread follower
And perhaps of beta tester. I just outfitted my old SonyEricson with my normal number and the Touch with a prepaid backup number. So testing on the touch can commence

It's great to have you back, while you're inactive, only PDAMobiz and PDAViet ROMs are regularly updated. Cloudyfa and Swiftblade are also seemed occupied.
Anyway, since you all been inactive, I've been playing around with PDAMobiz and PDAViet ROMs, in their latest version both use ROM based from HTC Diamond.
Personally I like PDAViet ROM,why ?
Performance : it's stable and quite fast, consume less memory than Mobiz
Graphics: all original HTC and Windows Mobile splash screen, the default background is black.
Software : it includes all basic necessary items.
Negative points:
- Space bar problem when using Zoomboard or PCM Keyboard
- Battery drains fast
So suggestion for your new ROM:
- as minimum as possible of program memory, and it should be use to install most useful program, for instance PCM Keyboard/
- Graphics: we should maintain the original splash screen, default background should also be black.

now on top are roms with georgious look ( but it's standard for you bram ) and with no-cube replacing features...
all for gaining more ram - if you can do sth for constantly go over 17mb, you're godlike
of course we're talking about stadard elf, "elfiners" are step further

Maybe you can start by making your touch surface on wm6.1?
I'm using your surface rom now for as long as I have my touch. Tried many other but al seem to lack some functionality (like dutch xt9).

Offcourse i would like to continue where your took off as a tester of your roms
And in the mean time i picked up some thing or 2 about cooking and currently running my own rom for some weeks now (based on *cough* surface *cough*). I had a lot of help from Noonski, Pkoper and Pirhana.
Unfortunately i have verry litte time on my hands for now to help you out fulltime (starting new job monday), but in a later stadium i'm willing to help with some cooking if the offers still stands by then
But i suggest to drop a line with Pkoper or Noonski for some startup again.
BTW how are your 2 girls doing ?
