Hi,
I see that Windows Mobile 6.1 (Smartphone) has the support for enrolling in a domain. I'm sure it will take Microsoft another year to get the Professional version running, and even longer for mobile networks to get it out to us, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to join a domain with a WM6 device?
I'm using an Artemis on O2.
Many Thanks

Hi Guys,
I know that the i320 isn't an HTC device, but I have sucessfully managed to get blackberry connect up and running on my Wizard and my work is hopefully about to supply me with an i320.
I realise that it's a smartphone and not a PPC, but I believe that there is some interoperablity between the two in WM5.
So my question is, will I be able to use the BB Connect that I use on my Wizard (downloaded from the ftp site) on the i320 or does anyone know of any varients for the smartphone platform?
Cheers!
anyone?
Even a little guidancee would be good! Thanks!
If you find a solution, let us all know
We are talking about this on the S620 aka Dash SP forum as well. We know that a SP client came out for WM 2003 in South Africa on the Vodacom network, but we haven't see one since. Where oh where, if at all, is the WM5 for Smartphone BB Connect client?
Here is the original BB Connect cab file for WM 2003
It would only install on a Moto MPx220 device running WM 2003 and gave a uncertified device error when I tried it on any other device. Any programmers out there want to give it a shot and change the cab file so it does not require a particular device to install on?
This one installs. I couldn't get it to work on my MPx200 w/ 2003.

cuboosh,
You have to read between the lines.
The article though old says the Treo 750 will be made compatible with Windows Mobile Device Manager by the 2nd half of 2008. A quick search on that product indicates that it's features are enabled by WM 6.1 and not the current WM 6.0.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...r/default.mspx
"Mobile Device Manager 2008, enabled by Windows Mobile 6.1, is a solution that gives organizations enhanced on-device security and over-the-air policy enforcement. It allows IT Professionals to more easily manage phones within the organization, and gives mobile employees access to confidential information on corporate networks with firewalls."
"Availability
The Palm Treo 750 smartphone will support Mobile Device Manager through an update starting in the second half of calendar 2008."
I think this is good news.
lets hope. cuz i love my treo
Yeah right, they never gave us our promised PTT. Like i'm going to believe anything Palm say anymore, i'm done with Palm, htc actually stood behind what they said and delivered first.

Palm Treo 750 Upgrading/Downgrading
Hi,
I have been looking for a good version of windows Mobile 6.0 or 6.1 and all links point to the palm website, well that download was for a limited time only and I'm unable to located a version that I can install on my phone.
I'm not that firmilar with doing this and have only tried the sd card method with no success- yes the card is fat32 and it goes into a loading screen and just sits there so i figure the version of WM6 that I got was no good or it wouldnt work when trying to downgrade.
Can anyone either point me to a good download link to downgrade to WM6.0 or 6.1 as i installed 6.5 which is works but I need to unlock the phone using the code I have and 6.5 doesn't prompt so I can type in the unlock code. Can someone please help me downgrade to 5.0 or 6.0 with links to download the right version?
Thanks for all ya help and taking the time to read this.

Windows SideShow for Windows Mobile is an application for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 PocketPCs and Smartphones that allows you to use your Windows Mobile device as a Bluetooth SideShow device. Installation instructions are below. This is a beta release.

I've not got this working with my wm6.1 ipaq ppc (classic) with widcomm stack.
please let us know if you get it working with your device (hw&sw versions) and any comments.
Also if you find any gadgets that you recommend let us all know.
Samsung i600 is working perfectly, but there are very few sideshow gadgets and most of them suck .
The mobile app says it is a beta and has expired, does anyone know if there is a newer/better version out there I've been looking all over the place and cant find anything? Am I the only person who thinks sideshow is really cool???
i am also getting a similar message that beta has expired ... any help
Just found this

Ive had the cab for this for ages, but only recently have I had vista to be able to use it.
Ive had it working well on:
HTC S710 VOX
HTC P3450 ELF
HTC P3450 ELFIN
Doesnt seem to work on my Polaris, doesn't seem to save my user name. Always get asked to "Selected Current User" and can never turn on any gadgets in windows. Anyone else with the same problem?
thats what the expired cab did for me. have you uninstalled the old one and reinstalled the new one?
i'm using it for the media centre gadgets, but i have TV Pack 2008 and they dont work with it :-(
i've been waiting years for sideshow and now the thing i want to use it with isnt suported

yeah tried to install the new one but doesn't work. Apparently Microsoft are working on this but I don't think they will release anything soon. They stated that "We have seen this issue, and are investigating the cause. It seems to be sporadic." Testing this on Windows 7 beta so don't know whether this is the cause or whether it might be the ROM I am using.
Hi
Any reason why no one has come up with software for Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise? Or am I missing out on a software application. Why should Blackberry have one and not Windows Mobile and, I believe, so may iPhone???
We've got Groupwise at work and I'd like to be able to connect to it from my Touch Cruise.
Appreciate your help
Thanks
Brian
There already is a Blackberry Enterprise Server for Groupwise. It's usually half or a full version behind BES for Exchange. There are also a few other 3rd party solutions as well as a Novel solution based on Intellisync.

Hi
I know that Blackberry has an Enterprise Server. I'm trying to find out whether there is an application for WM 6. If you say that there are 3rd party solutions for WM 6 can you give some suggestions.
Thanks
Brian
