Hi, I used to be able to send/receive my Sky email account using my HTC P3600, but they changed to use the Google mail server & I can't get it to work now.
Has anybody managed to change their settings for it to work?
Thanks.

hey all, i am running WM6 on my HTC excaliber and i want to set up my email, basically i don't want the phone to download any mail from my pop3 server but i want to be able to send mail out marked as being from my pop3 account. how can i do this?
I'm looking for a free pushmail service for my HD2. Somebody can help me? I have tried some but they can not work correctly with WM 6.5.
Gmail works fine for me. Besides the actual GM account, I also duplicate some other GM accounts to it & it checks / collects mail from still further other non GM accounts.
ive also been looking for one for ages. My symbian friends are quite quick to put down my htc hd 2 because it doesnt have free pushmail service. XDA-developers have solved 99.9% of my probs. I hope it goes up by 0.1%
Thanks in advance. I love this website!

I see that you are on Tmobile UK. Do you use the standard web'n'walk for this push service?
I've never got proper push from Google to work with Gmail.
I use Gmail to forward to my Hotmail account, which is then picked up on Windows Live.
Works great!
just use google sync to push gmail
Gmail works great on my HD2, you just have to correctly set the account in Active Sync :
Server : m.google.fr
Mail : [email protected]
Pass: Your password (And check the box to store it)
Domain : Left blank
Then you can choose to synchronize Contacts, Calendar and mail but be sure not to check task (Otherwise you will get an error while syncing).
Then in Active Sync you have to set when the phone will check for new items, you have to say "when new items arrive" and check the box to allow while on Edge and 3G.
Normally every thing should work great.
I get mail quite quickly and my calendar and contacts are always up to date on the phone, the computer and the web!
the prob is i dont use gmail. i use hotmail and my work email is being hosted by mail2world.net so i need those to work. Im sure there is a free pushmail server for winmo i just havent found it yet.
Try www.momail.com . It works great for me

I am on T-mobile UK, I do have standard WnW.
Push Gmail works fine on my HD2 both T-mobile 1.43 & HTC 1.66 (as it did on my old TytnII).
I simply followed these instructions to access my email

Actually my ISP is Sky who email service uses re branded Google mail. I have my own domains for email. Because they insist on tagging my outgoing mail address/domain with their moniker, hardly professional, I use a 3rd party SMTP server (from the Skyusermail forum) for outgoing mail. All set up from within the HD2 messaging utility & transparent in use with no additional input.
I only sync my mail to Google. For privacy, Contacts, Calendar, Favourites & OneNote I sync to my Vista32 computer via USB (upgrading to Bluetooth in a couple of days). I found, when INITIALLY setting up the PHONE syncs, I have to add them ONE TYPE AT A TIME in sequential syncs, or it fails After the initial set up, it behaves correctly syncing all automatically together.
As far as what that Pushed Gmail account reports, I went into its web control panel and got it to collect incoming mail from MANY other accounts. I now have a PUSH one stop shop, when mobile, for about a dozen entirely separate email accounts!
I no longer need an office to run my business affairs. I can run everything from my mobile. Huge overhead saving and much more leisure time. My business now interrupts my leisure pursuits instead of vice versa.... Worthwhile trade off for me.
I also have a few other email accounts being checked every few hours. Also my HD2 is hooked up to Windows live / Hotmail. (Need to reinstall Skype.)

Hi-
I am using the new BAMF SENSE 3.0 GB RC2 rom and it is working great. However, I am not able to retrieve any emails from a yahoo account that I have set up. Does anyone have a solution or a fix for this? Thank you in advance.
Try reinstalling or even a reboot and see if that works, you would be surprised.
Hi. Thanks for the tip. I tried deleting/re-installing as well as rebooting the phone- I am still having problems. I also wiped and re-flashed the ROM, still no luck.

IMAP is another way you can get Yahoo! Mail on your phone. Using IMAP you can download messages with your mobile client, so you can access your mail even when not connected to the mobile Internet.
How to set up Yahoo! Mail with your mobile client using IMAP
1.On your phone, press < Home >, then open the Email application.
2.On the 'Your accounts' page, select Next to get started with setup.
3.Enter your full Yahoo! address and password, then select Next.
4.On the next screen, you can give the account a nickname and choose the name to display on your outgoing messages. Tap Done.
If prompted, supply the following information:
1.Incoming Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
2.Outgoing Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
3.Incoming Port - 993 (requires SSL)
4.Outgoing Port - 465 (requires SSL)
5.Username: full email address ([email protected])
6.Password: is the password you login to Yahoo! with

Are you using the HTC mail app or the Yahoo Mail app from the market to get your mail? I am using the yahoo mail app from the market and have no problems.
I am using trying to use the HTC mail app. I tried changing the settings as suggested by Shawn Haz Root, but it still does not download any of my messages. The interesting thing is that I can use the HTC mail app to send messages from my Yahoo accoount. I just can't seem to retrieve any messages. Maybe it has something to do with the ROM?

I'm actually experiencing this problem as well using gmail. I recently flashed my radio and installed Tecardo's US script. Did you also do that?
I thought M365 supported IMAP also? Thats much more stable then pop3.

I use the stock mail for my netzero account.. i actually works fine after this new update.. I flashed the new radio, and tmous 2.35 rom...
whenever i delete mail from my phone, it wouldnt remove it from my netzero acct.. till now, it works fine after i refresh mail server.. it actually deletes it from the server,
in the stock mail... menu settings, sync, send & receive, check sync deleted items from server, and also delete mail on server...
hope that helps..
