A few problems with TC

Hi to all of you!
I'm a new member from Slovenia. Just got my Touch Cruise today. Very nice device I must say but I am having some problems already. First problem is the contact list. I copied all my contacts from SIM card to the phone. After that, I erased all contacts on the SIM card, so the contacts are only saved on the device. If I for example search a certain contact by writing a first few letters, every contact can be found as it should be. The problem starts when I browse these contacts only with my finger by ''pushing'' them up or down. In this case not all contacts are visible. Does anybody know why are some contacts not visible if I browse the list that way? I hope you understand what I'm trying to tell you. Hope some of you has the answer for this.

Try installing the PCManager

and to hide sim contacts:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
Change ShowSIM from 1 to 0 and reboot.
Maybe someone confirm that the above reg edit works.

Are you sure you do not have the contacts filtered? In Windows Mobile, you can assign contacts to categories and there is an option to filter them using a menu item. Doesn't sound likely from your scenario, but perhaps it is something this simple?

I did this and after reboot it went back to the way it was before (showing SIM and phone contacts)...

Hello,
The hide_sim.cab does not work in my Touch Cruise. After a soft reset of the contacts SIM become visible.

Is regedit preloaded into a Tilt 8925 or does someone know of a place to download it from. I don't see it in task mgr.

HTC Sim Manager--Which version has this option...

I have been searching, googling, cuiling...
PLEASE...
Which version of HTC Sim Manager has the option to click on an individual contact name (within the phone contacts listing) and "save to sim"? I have 6.49 running right now, and while it has the cool feature of dialing directly from my sim, it doesn't have the option to save to sim as a much older previous version did...I just cannot remember that older version number. I would prefer to just click save to sim when I have a new contact, rather than having to open sim manager and entering it there.

**also, when in Sim Manager, clicking "save contacts to sim" doesn't do that (it doesn't even register that I have contacts)...which is why I am searching for the older version.
***Running NTS's Jaguar 3.1 rom again. AMP v2, which was a lovely rom, would not register any of my BT devices.

I'm running TNT's 19213 WM 6.1 on one of my wizards, when in Contacts I can just choose the function 'Add Sel. Contacts to SIM'.
The rom mentioned above has Sim Manager version 6.42
Dunno if this is the version you are looking for...

does anyone have the 6.42 sim manager? i have 6.25 and 6.49. neither has the "save to sim" option in the CONTACTS menu.

Help needed!!Problem in Contacts

As i flash my phone a few times, i have my contacts on my sim. Normally I copy the contacts to phone but I'm using MyPhone too, so it downloaded the contacts automatically. Now if i delete my contacts from my SIM, the name isnt displayed when that contact calling(That contact is still in phonebook but not in sim) For example, my mother calls me, Mother--05xxxxxxxxx and if i delete her from SIM its like 05xxxxxxxxx only, just number. Please help me.By the way, in some contacts[1 or 2 not too much] if its not in sim only in phonebook it still shows the name, there isnt problem.I want all of them like this, when i delete from SIM, still show the name from Phone.

when i click on the link my option are
PROGRAMS OR CONTACT MAN
and when i click on the acontact person i can add only new one.
how can i add a contact men from my phone book?

If not mistaken you have to have your contacts on the simcard to be able to add them to quicklinks. Use sim manager to copy them over.

i think that they are in my sim card
every time after a HR or rom change i click on the phone icon and i see all
my phone book

Hide sim contacts also in new message

I have seached the forum for cabs that hide sim contacts also when I write a new sms. My contacts doesn't show in the contactlist for calling, but when i write sms.
Have tried the cabs i found in here but they doesn't work Have also tried to delete sim contacts, but then the phone don't recognise the other contacts, so name doesn't show when new sms or call coming.
Anybody who can help me?
