Pointui ?? A new wm interface ? - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys, dont know if anyone has come across this yet but for those who havent it looks like there may be a new interface for your wm device. Its called Pointui but as yet theres not a lot of info just a youtube vid and some screen shots on flicker, the web site just shows a countdown to what apperes to be the new year but by the look of the screens it might be something to keep your eye on
Youtube link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pUBWYErW3s
Flicker link :http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/
Web site :http://there-is-no-place-like-home.com/

I must say after having look at it, I'd be very intrested to try this out when its released. It looks very slick

WOW I'm surprised that there has been less buzz about this. I'm intrigued!

Yes, seems to be inspired by the iPhone but no proof to say its a Windows Mobile device?
Regards,
Carty..

If you click on the youtube uploaders username and look at the other vid you can see that its running on a Wizard
Wizard specs..
Processor: OMAP850 - 195Mhz
Memory: 128 MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM
Should run fine on my Orbit !!

Interesting
Looks promising. I wonder if it is flash driven or C+ coded. A little strange how the video shows him sliding his finger to the right and the screen animation goes left?? That would drive me nuts!

...Also, you'll note very shortly into the demo the "Windows Mobile Settings" menu option...

I watched the video a couple of times and it seems to move very smoothly and quickly. I really like the way it works...........HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'd say its more inspired by frustration of what I call Windows 3.11 Syndrome and poor excuses for performance because they have limited memory and slower cpus.
Never used an iPhone, sure looks nice. Not sure about user interaction consistency across all their apps which is something we hope to achieve with our framework.
Rest assured this is running on Windows Mobile. Unlike so many others we haven't forgotten those with Windows Mobile 2003.

Plus you can see "Windows Mobile" as the second option:

And Active Sync as option two on this one:
Anyone else have any info on this project?

Wow--amazing ui. I share your frustration with the Win 3.11 syndrome but I hate that other people keep using the iPhone comparison. The iPhone is like a new puppy--everyone loves it because it's cute and could do simple things (email, web, music, movies, pictures, oh calls too). After awhile, then what? Everyone here can name 100 things their PDA/Phone can do more than the iPhone--except on tiny little thing....and that's doing it with style! Swipe here, roll there, flip here, touch there, whatever which way.
Pointui will complete my PDA and will probably get more people to buy a Win Mobile device now that it's balanced with usability and functionality. Thanks, can't wait for Jan 1.

Dorothy, can you give us any idea as to when you'll be offering this up to the public, and are you planning this as a freeware app or will you be charging for use?

simplicity05, the answers to your questions can be found at there-is-no-place-like-home.com

I checked that just a few hours ago and all it had was a timer counting down to the new year haha!

Oh My God. This looks so freaking sweet!

Im sure you guys have clicked it but heres the link to the pointui main site http://www.pointui.com/
Says it will be available for download as soon as the clock from no place like home reaches 0. Wooo.
If it runs that fast on a 195mhz device, thats great news. All these iPhone clones run slow on my 247mhz orbit (overclocked) ... so, looking forward to this one.

Im back again
Just watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRw1T-N5dic
Seems it uses the standard WM phone pad, which sucks, hope they do there own phone pad/full phone system thing. Also, wonder how the text messages/email is handles, hopefully not the standard WM outlook??? Any guys in the know about this?

The scrolling/changing screens by sliding your finger seems counter-intuitive. I like how on my touch I grab and pull to the side of the cube I want, this Pointui looks like it is grab and push towards the place you want to go, very awkward...
Other than that, it looks very interesting!

Actually I think that scrolling the finger to go to the next screen is really sleek and intuitive.
And the speed is amazing! Really smooth, even on a Wizard! OMFG! These guys know how to program
From the screenshots and video I only miss some antialiasing on some text (top text saying "telstra", and some text on the initial screen), and it would be great to integrate further apps into Home, like the phone and messages (read, write, send).

I think this will be, again, one of those applications that disappoint the moment I press one of the "system menu" buttons and end up in the WM6 menu without any transition.
Becaus then, it just doesn't make any sense... Man, being all happy that you can go through the menu with your finger just to find out that if you REALLY want to make system changes you have to use the old stylus again sucks.
I think all the iPhone cloning is a massive backleash...

Spb Mobile vs Touch Flo

Has anyone tried the new spb mobile i just downloaded it and its freaking awesome... destroys touch flow3d in usability and in ui. just wondering what everyine else thought
Tried it but im still a little unsure about it... you cant preview your texts or emails and its a little more complicated than TouchFlo but SPB has got TouchFlo hands down on personal customizing the UI
Tired it
along with PhoneAlarm and WisBar. Always come back to TF3D despite its annoyances.
I have not used Touch Flo at all after trying SPB Mobile Shell. 3.0.1 RC has fixed many problems btw.
spb wins hands dow, its like a whole new OS in a cab. it takes over so many things in the OS that i barely know im running a WM device, the start menu hook is great too
i did not like it first due to the lifestyle screen, but i installed some new great looking widgets and make a great setup that i can proudly say that its the best UI IMO, hope the widget and theme development continue to kick off
I tried SPB shell and loved the interface. The dealbreaker for me was the 4-5 second screen delay when you slide in/out the keyboard. I contacted SPB by email and they replied that they are aware of the problem, but they do not yet have a fix. They encouraged me to keep checking back. I'm happier with my TF3D for the moment.

It is fixed in 3.0.1 RC1.
Can I view:
Basic stuff (time, date, connection)
Latest headline from a RSS-source
Next task
Next calendar event
Missed sms/mms/email/call
Maybe something I forgot now
at the home-/mainscreen, at the same time?
Then I would switch to Spb Mobile asap.

You can customize the UI with many widgets and place them where you want, so you can do almost anything with it. Just try it:

I'm running SPB Pocket Plus with some other stuff and I can see all of that stuff. It is set to autohide - so underneath the home, weather, multimedia, and wireless icons there are shortcuts to all the programs that pertain to those tabs.
The rest of the stuff; dialer, calendar, tasks, missed call alert, etc. stay on the screen no matter what i am doing. The entire phone is extremely finger friendly. I barely have to use the stylus.

hey guys, why are you talking about RC?
they are selling full version on their site!
or am i missing something here?...
I believe RC is just a "test" version for the next version of spb 3.x, so it'll have some of the fixes that they implemented for the newer build. They are still selling 3.0 on their websites, but the RC is available for users who have problems such as delayed screen rotation. If you don't have the license yet, you can still purchase the license from spb website and use it on the RC instead of the 3.0 from the website.
I just downloaded SPB Mobile Shell today, and I must say I love it. I didn't think I'd love anything aside from the smoothness of TF3D2, but the customizability makes it hands down my new favorite.
tf detacher = spb mobile + tf3d = AWESOME!

What customizability? How do you customize Mobile shell?
I tried it for some days now but it seems pretty rigid!
The carrousel look funny, makes me remember Gollum's cube in my Wizard days!
Use the casual layout instead of the professional. Click the button in the lower right corner, and then click edit layout or add widget. Voila, and program or widget can be put on there and you can move stuff around and resize.
Tried the 15-day trial. I really like it- it's customizable, useful, and pretty flashy. Other than the 4-5 sec delay when opening the keyboard, there's no delay at all (TF3D would sometimes chug).
However, it drains battery like a mofo. This unfortunately is a dealbreaker.
I'll try out the RC update.
so i had ms3 installed for a good 3-4 weeks and i finally went back to tf3d because of a few things:
basically does teh same exact thing as tf3d, just a different ui
batterylife - drains battery much more than tf3d does
i posted earlier about tfdetacher, an awesome app, but it drains battery and processor
media player - spb uses windows media which is a huge drain on memory, whereas tf3d's player works without draining the memory or consequently the battery
sms/email previews in tff3d
i guess overall it's the whole battery thing and teh fact that ms3 and tf3d have similar/same functions...and i missed tflo. maybe i'll install it in 3 weeks again and use it for amonth again. who knows...
I was a bigtime MobileShell2 fan/user back in my 6800/Mogul Days, but HTC have since made WinMo a lot more usable than it used to be.
Gave 3.0 a try: I thought it was pretty ugly/unstylish compared to TF3D, plus the keyboard delay and battery problems. It still puts more things at your thumbtip than TF3D, but nothing nearly as groundbreaking as version 2 was in the day.
I was going to purchase an upgrade anyway figuring they'd at least fix the technical problems sooner or later, but I must also say that SPB customer support has really gone down the toilet since the MobileShell2 days. I tried a number of times to request (always in a respectful tone) that they provide me a way to actually use the discount being offered on their website, but I couldn't get them to respond in any meaningful way and they didn't even bother responding to the escalation request. It's too bad, but given they are no longer the only enhanced WinMo UI game in town, they really can't afford to alienate customers like this.
With the tf detach cab you can go between the shell and tf3d. Best of both imho as it gives you the choice in an instant. I can never decide which to use so both is good for me. My .02

Dorothy: an Internet browser for Windows Mobile 6/6.1

Hi, all.
I'd like to introduce Dorothy, an Internet Browser for Windows Mobile 6/6.1.
In fact, I'm one of the developers of this browser.
It's a stand-alone, webkit-based browser.
We tested it on HTC HD/Diamond, Sony Ericsson X1i, and Samsung Omnia.
We started the closed beta program a few weeks ago.
You can join at http://www.dorothybrowser.com .
I hope you enjoy the Internet browsing with Dorothy.
We welcome any feedback or suggestion.

i am only downloading because i really like the name.
They call it a 'service,' so perhaps they use their servers to transcode websites before sending them to the phone? If so, it's in the same vein as Opera Mini, Opera Turbo and Bolt Browser.
I hope it's not the case.
i too love the name

It does not use any proxy server. It's stand alone.
Oh sweet! I can't wait to test it then. If it really is three times faster than Opera, this could be one killer browser.
I already registered, har har. :3
Update: got the download link! I'm excited.
Interesting. Only basics, but fast. I miss only text wrapping (now it's hard to read anything) and tabbed brwosing. I like rendering - it's fast on start, it's fast when scolling, it's fast when exitting. I can't save my homepage in settings.
Interesting yeah. Not quite the three times faster than Opera Mobile as advertised, but further developments would be fun to watch.
Will we get updates by email?

Dorothy already has automatic update feature in it. You can see the update dialogue if there is any update. (The dialogue appears once a day if the update is available.) And we are planning to send e-mail notifications for updates.
We are now in the closed beta phase, that is, we are adding new features, fixing bugs, and changing things. Your suggestion or feedback will be very helpful. Please feel free to suggest.
I'm still waiting for their email with the download...
Really looking forward to trying it!
My email went in the spam box-check there.
Nice browser. I like the blue skin. It's not as fast as mini 4.2, but is on par with ucweb6 and opera 9.7. It needs settings and a full screen mode. Definitely a keeper.
Pages seem to render faster than Opera Mobile 9.5, actually. The issue is that they aren't updated to the screen properly. For example, when I navigate from one page to another, while the new page is loading, I still see the previous page, but if I scroll while it's loading, it renders the new parts without updating the section that's still painted with the old page.
Definitely a keeper. Needs more work on usability features, such as kinetic scrolling, better zooming and text reflow. Good job guys!
Oh, by the way, I use an HTC Touch Diamond. VGA screen.
Somebody registered but didn't get an e-mail?
Please let me know if you can't find any e-mail from "Dorothy" even in the spam box.
Maybe we should modify the e-mail sender module
contact e-mail: [email protected]
And, on the other hand, yes,
we are working on that page update bug.
Hey! Thanks for the update. I just sent an email to the feedback address so all of your team can see it. I also included a couple more concerns, I think.
In any case, it's pretty awesome to have yet another quality browser enter the WinMo market. We'll see how the competition plays out. Best of luck to everyone? Haha~
wow this is really a keeper! it really loads pages fast, even got more speed than opera mini on my device (touch pro 2)! needs a full screen mode though... and sometimes i get minor rendering issues( grey boxes here and there)
will keep an eye out for updates!
same here with the email - not spam folder no email, unfortunately.
Is there a QVGA version of this?
Thanks,
Bernard

Not yet
We are preparing resolution independent version.
When can I expect to get my email?
I really like it!
On touch HD the rendering is fast and accurate, also compared to Iris it seems that the page better follows the finger gesture (more fluid movement).
Compared to opera, It better supports Iphone websites thanks to webkit.
Impressive first attempt.
Like everybody else I'd like to see features like:
- Fullscreen (I really don't need to see windows top bar when surfing, and the address bar could be hidden the same way the bottom bar is hidden: just leaving a back button and an extend bar button maybe?)
- Zoom (I'd like not to have to scroll left and right when I zoom on iphone websites, could we chose the canvas size like in Opera? or have options like in Iris Mobile, Desktop, Column...)
- Kinetic scrolling (Everybody is really used to it, even if I also like the opera mini way were scrolling on the page is twice as fast as scrolling the finger - this one can be implemented easily I guess if kinetic takes too much time for now allowing for faster scrolling)
- Remember passwords (in safe and secure way of course)
Also question: What is the option at the right in the bottom bar with a + and a t?
Anyway thanks, really happy to see things moving on WM side of browsing, funny to see the new IE struggling compared to the competition...

Iphone-like calendar..EDIT: commercial WM appdesigns still quiet ugly in every case??

Hey folks!
I just wanted to ask if there´s any possibilty to get an Iphone-like calendar on my HD2. No, I dont´s want to start an anti-iphone war here, I do really just like the design of the calendar here^^ (seems not to force eye-cancer like many other calendar themes on WM ). I´m using Pocket Informant on my HD2 and it´s quite customizable, but I can´t get near this design:

Any Ideas/possibilities?
Yeah, its called Inesoft Calendar http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=calendar.html
I used it on my Omnia a while back and its great.
Reason for changing the Threadtitle:
grmpf...it is getting harder and harder for me. most of the WinMobile applications are really looking bad, one worst than the other...how can people through such unfinished apps on the market please?
take a closer look on the Homepage of Inesoft..the "menu" and the "calendars" buttons are using uncommon fontsizes, on the one hand the fonts at the bottom/edge seem to be untouched, on the other hand the fonts in the middle seem to have cleartype activated
The colors (for me) are not well chosen...and there is NO possibility to customize that???
Same with thumbcal...NO possibility to change the fontsize...
Is the difference that big between developing an Iphone app and developing the same for WinMobile? Of course, I know the "unique hardware" thing with the Iphone...BUT: why do free developers out there bring up very nice and goog looking applications/themes, while the commercial developers sometimes don´t give a penny on perfection?
I do not understand this issue..
Apple has standard controls that are used while developing apps. In wm, the standard ones are bad. So companies develop their own or use others... so there's no consistency between apps and other issues you mention. Maybe you should get the iphone in stead of the HD2.

Why everytime argue in that way? ---> don´t get my wrong, as I said above, I don´t want to start an Iphone vs. WM war here...but I think nobody can´t deny the fact, that many of the WM applications are still looking old fashioned or unfinished...aren´t they?? And my question is: why is this? especially here. inesoft wants to compete with other calendar-suppliers. take a closer look on the link I´ve posted above...i´ve installed the demoversion, it looks horrible to me!! $13,95?
As I said: free devs are programming nice tools/themes and so on...commercials often don´t.

you seem to be starting that discussion yourself lol. I think the comment to get an iphone was kind and reasonable. If what you are looking for is apps that all look the same with the same buttons and fonts then an iphone is a good product for you. However, if you require functionality that only winmobile provides that is a different story. A better way to have responded, instead of pointing out that nobody can deny certain "facts" was begging for people to point out the fact that those aren't "facts" I am smiling while i write so i am in a fun loving mood, take my comments as you will but realize that you are talking to die hard winmobile folks who generally do not like Apple for many reasons beyond the iphone. cheers
Try SBSH calendar touch I think that one is customizable, It's not iphone like but you may like it.
I do realize that win mo apps aren't as nice looking as the ones on the iphone, and i wish they were, but i'm also able to get past this and realize that the functionality i get out of those apps or win mo is far greater.
And yes, i was kind with the "get the iphone" comment. No harm intended.
EDIT:
Let me explain once more.
A control is a button, a text box, a search field, a drop down list, a check box, a list and so on. Apple has made those controls in a very nice fashion and they are available to every developer. Microsoft's win mo controls look really bad so that's why many win mo developers make their own. Many try but fail. That's why apps look bad. We need to get beautiful standardized controls for win mo and we will see a change. I guess that's coming with WM7. Anyway, one software company that impressed me with their apps is SPB. I can also add Iconsoft in that category, with their Phonex.
Hey again!
Thank you both for your comments! I have to add that my written english is not that good, so if my postings above sounded upset i´m deeply sorry for that, this should just be based on my lack of "feeling the language"!! I´m in more than a funny mood too and I smiled while writing the comments, because I was afraid having become an unintended "victim" of these unfactual WinMo/Iphone discussion (there are more than enough on this world, the worries are eligible, aren´t they? )
@lorin.bute: Thank you for your explanation! I knew that point, and you are right, many win mo developers make their own controls here (what even could be an enrichment I think! ). That´s perhaps one of the main points I initially wanted to ask for...I don´t know what you have programmed/designed yourself, but i´m sure that you all know the intention, to make something "perfect". When these guys from Inesoft are designing some buttons (e.g. menu and calenders)...why the hell aren´t these buttons designed in the same way/with the same fonts? To use a consistent style within one program makes it more valuable, or am I wrong?
Yes, full agree, SPB are one of my most cherished developers for WinMo, ageye is doing a good job too.

GOOD JOB!
I'm SO downloading this.

Some initial comments and thoughts about this app:
- The tick at the top right feels naturally clickable. I guess that's because to the average windows phone user, that top right has always either been an "OK" or a "X" so it's somewhat natural to assume whatever icon is on the top right is clickable
- The physics of the flow of the menu items are very very sensitive. If I drag them for a distance equivalent to half of my screen height, they disappear for quite some time before they bounce back. It is also kind of laggy. I understand alot of this has to do with windows mobile OS itself, so I'm not blaming you on this. This is really a good UI effort.
Otherwise this application feels way beyond good comparing with the average windows mobile application. Its metro-like UI is REALLY appealing for a change for my windows mobile device. All functions are working great and browsing the news is a pleasure.
Definitely recommend this app to any windows mobile users in Singapore. I'm gonna spread this app to some friends and partners of mine in Microsoft. I'm sure they will be impressed with this! Good work!
Tested on: HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz) running Windows Mobile 6.5

ahhh its the sync icon. will display some other icon instead of the tick in next releases... did not occur to be since i been using 6.5.3 for some time

did not really got to test it with resistive devices. But much of the credit for the physics of the slider goes to Obenix. I think he has done a great job with that wonderful control. i would refer to him on the matter of being able to lower the sensitivity for non capacitive models
Otherwise this application feels way beyond good comparing with the average windows mobile application. Its metro-like UI is REALLY appealing for a change for my windows mobile device. All functions are working great and browsing the news is a pleasure. Perhaps an addition of font size option perhaps in the forms of + or - will be good.
i was hugely inspired and loved metro UI when it came out. was around the same time when i was designing the backend, so heck decided it should follow the WP7 design elements.
The A + or - was orignially a feature request from 'wm007' of mobinauts, credits to him for that idea. Will follow your advice and add the option to change the font size for all other windows in the next release as well. thanks
Definitely recommend this app to any windows mobile users in Singapore. I'm gonna spread this app to some friends and partners of mine in Microsoft. I'm sure they will be impressed with this! Good work!
lol chris chin knows about it, am waiting for market place approval before i proceed to submit the other local news outlets apps (unoffical)
Tested on: HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz) running Windows Mobile 6.5

Most of the best pillars of this app would not be without the input or ideas of fellow users. thanks once again for the input.
oh ya, and here is the app compared against other variants on other platforms:
I have tried it on Omnia II and the application is well designed but abit of laggyness in scrolling up and down in the tiles section and the stories text section, if u reach the very end of the text, and overscrolls it, it will take a while to jump back to the text area. Overall i find the application simple and light
Btw, i noe the app through aeronex haha...
Wow! Great! Haha I guess the developers network for Windows Mobile in Singapore is indeed quite small! ^^ I know of several other windows mobile developers also working with not only Chris but also many other peeps in Microsoft.
In any case, The HD2 has the most capable processor, so I'm not entirely sure if it's a very fair test, but I can definitely vouch that this user interface is the best I've seen. I love it!
Apologies about the font + and - actually. I just realized that your app already has the small and big "A"s which in my opinion is more than enough. Very strange I missed that just now, apologies ^^

lol ismael? he seems quite busy with WP7 these days

the only other wm i have is a LGKS20, it has the bounce lag issue. Also the part where the screen is QVGA and cannot "sense" the clicks on tiles. news loading times are averge. lol will do a comparison with all 4 devices next time

i am glad its working for you. i am still trying to find a permanent fix for my other samsung users who face the "outofmemoryexception". Do let me know if the app hangs for your device or what nots errors. So far this problem seems peculiar to the two samsung devices only.
Okae. Yeah, Ismael. The other Chris ^^
lol ya
anyhow, on a side note, got a nice email with some good news from microsoft this morning
Great! All the best for that!
ops, haha after the second try of the app and after i click on a news title to load a full story, i experienced a out of memory exception, it will go on and on even if i restart the application. Would you want the error details?
haha not to worry, am looking into that issue. hope to get it sorted out by this weekend
Congratulations on being featured on the frontpage! Read it on the twitter widget on my nexus this afternoon!
lol did not know until you informed me bro. wow, XDA is as supportive as what i always heard them to be. Thanks
Ooooops... this should be on the general apps forum instead of TOPAZ forum???
DLing....
Think there's more than one thread about this ^^

Live Watches (SE LiveView)

EDIT, 05/15/11:
Note: You will only care about this app. if you own a Sony Ericsson LiveWatch device!
v1.2
* Now with several more, aesthetically pleasing watch faces and hands
* Upload your own png file as /sdcard/livewatch.png (girlfriend picture, pet, etc.) -- Beware! The LiveView device is very picky with encoding, color set, etc.
* Flashligt! (Why not?) Click the select button, then touch the top border.

Make sure you download it from the market:

I am going to talk about a plug-in I wrote for the Sony Ericsson LiveView.
However, if you guys wish to discuss development for that device or how to make it work better, this is also welcome because it is both intriguing and under-represented (and a bit maddening at times)
Anyway, I was flabbergasted when I realized that there isn't any straightforward "watch" plug-in for the LiveView so in a couple hours I figured out how to use the SDK and created one.
I am not releasing it yet and I will only make it available it there is interest for it and I get the appropriate permissions from the people whose art I have used for this proof of concept app.
By the way, more face and hands art would be welcome!
A few (terrible) screenshots:
My LiveView was sent from the website i ordered it from, today=) I would really such an addon=)
And i can make you some artwork if i get something to work with=)
Oh, that's good.
I hope it works well for you. The device losing its pairing can be quite aggravating.
On the other hand it is a breeze to develop for; actually simpler than writing a home screen widget.
A friend of mine got it last week and said that he had lost his pairing once since he got it set up.
To me no development is a breeze i know squat about programing
But as said i would love to make you some graphics you could use so that you can release this=)
^^
I just received a sms from my post office that my LiveView had arrived
and here are a little graphic preview of some artwork you might use(?) It shows the whole thing, background, minute hand and hour hand=)
I really think you should release this addon
Ha! I like it a lot, in fact.
Can you post it as three files as described at http://www.voilaweb.com/lv_faq#createtheme?
Oh, and I updated the OP with a link to the beta apk
Will do, Just have to make some minor changes as the big and short hand are the same. and also added some indicators on the clock face.
Edit: Also, will you support this addon? i mean like bugs and stuff?
I guess, I will have to, yes
So, anyone go any feedback for me?
hey man.
i just installed your app from market and it's looking great.
i guess you can make a clock with digits or maybe a digital one.
it still disconnects but at least i have a watch
one other thing maybe you can ad an always on screen option
MrJay, first off, thanks for your feedback
The "always on" option would be nice but I invite you to think about this some more...say until your device dies on you because its damn battery is already too weak for the plug-in's current version
EDIT: OK I really don't want to sound negative. The device is really nice. I just wish it had better connectivity and battery life.
In fact, the tricks I read on how to force it to reconnect using AutomateIt, etc., end up sucking battery life like crazy.
The only thing i have to say about this addon, is that its a bit slow to update when i wake the screen. might take a sec before the clock shows the correct time.
Other than that, i love it
Thanks Marius.
Yes, I know about the 1 sec. delay it's due to sending as few updates to the device as possible, to improve battery life.
But maybe I could slightly alter this behavior for a "wake up" event.
BTW, I hope you guys are using the version from the market! It's free, but more likely to get updates than the one on my blog.

i stopped using automateit. it didn't do that much and yes you're right about the crappy battery life .
anyway keep up the good job. it's a nice to have application.
I ordered one of these devices today after seeing this post, fantastic plugin! this is perfect for when I'm at work, seeing as I work outside and don't have time to check my phone for any updates, much less the time. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Where can I order this I'm interested I live in California if that makes a difference
Well, Spitfire, so do I. I ordered from these guys: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004E2V4NM and it was shipped from Florida.
Have you updated this with any new themes?
Ive been away over the easter and haven checked in here for about 2 weeks. also i've been flashing a lot of ROMs lately so havent gotten to hook up my liveview yet. Will look in to it today th0=)
Can someone make a theme like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib9GTkImEwQ&feature=player_embedded#at=20
(watch the video it has a bunch of different themes as well)

Awesome design. I fear that the LiveView's limited resolution will not be able to display something this complex, though. Not even something as good-looking as a TikTok
