Polaris : Problem with WLM ???

Hello,
I have a problem with windows live messenger on my HTC Cruise , when I want to connect it , it said me : "server had a problem, try to reconnect another time" ???
The problem is the same in wifi or with 3G connection ?
Anyone had this problem ?

I had the same problem, and I ended up removing my account (which was kinda tricky)

I'm sorry but with your method, I can't resolve my problem ....

Can you browse the net in the meantime? Maybe a connection problem rather WLM?

Always the same problem !!!!! I don't understand why ?

Try to use WLM without your Orange simcard.
Here, these guys have the same problem with their Symbian.
With Orange Sim, unable to connect and without Orange Sim, everything is OK.

Me, i can use WLM with wifi but doesn't work with wap sfr

this morning I hardreset my polaris e now it work well also wlm problems are disappeared but I remember some installing problems with gprs monitor included in the bundle

Effectualy, when I stop my 3G connection and I use the wifi only it's ok but it's not practical ....

[Q] Windows live messenger and email issues

hi guys, I decided to start a new thread cause I've been looking for quite a while without result...
I put the new htc ROM 1.48 on my vodafone hd2, everything works reallywell. I can surf the net with 3g but cannot connect to messenger or receive emails. I get an error message like "either the service doesn't work or you're out of coverage". Everything's setup well cause that works with the WiFi. I tried to reinstall messenger and windows live, hardreset, rezetup connection but nothing helped.
do you have any clue??

the message appears just after having selected to synchronise mails, when checking internet connectivity: "there was a problem signing you in to messenger. It may be the service or you may be in a place with bad reception..."

I had the same problem, and discovered that my password was too long. I have made my password shorter on my pc , and I could simply log in.

[Q] - anybody else having the same problem with Fim Mosko.Mobi facebook chat?

I am using Fim on the HTC HD2, it has been working fine for past couple weeks from when I downloaded it, but since yesterday it is not allowing me to sign it. it keeps saying "Problem getting facebook login page. Please make sure you have access to facebook.com in this network." . I dont get where the problem is because I haven't change any of my network settings, if anybody has a solution it would be much appreciated! .. I am running windows 6.5 if that helps.

I'm having an issue too, it signs in but then is just stays at 'fetching friends'.

hey i got the same problem with fim (connection failed)
i fixed it by doing this
go to your facebook from computer and open profile settinges then security then disable (login notification)
then fim should work perfectly

I installed the cab .... connected the phone via active sync .... yes i am able to browse via the explorer.
I configured skype to use activesync/Wi Fi/Mobile.
After entering User name / Password the skype main page shows an animated cursor and after almost 3 minutes displays a message ... (please find attached)
My Profile
HD2 with ROM 3.14.531 (Latest Elegancia ROM)
Connection ActiveSync (No Wifi / No 3G)

Try first connection via carrier GPRS internet connection, as I remember first login never succeeds via wifi or activesync connection. do a search as loads of posts on this issue.

I have a question, you are running voice calls? I only have a message. When I want to call - the call comes, take the phone and hangs up Skype, after throwing out with the program.

I installed Skype on my HTC 8525/Hermes (custom Schap's ROM for 6.0) a few months ago and it installed with no problem but just won't connect. It goes through the motions with the swirling icon, but finally times out. The same happened when I installed Skype on my 'new' TG01. I looked in the WM forums here and someone said to try a different ROM. I'm now on my 2nd ROM, FXDJ's excellent 6.5 ROM2_0,update 6, and still have the same problem. Of course, I tried it first with the original Orange 6.5 version. I've also tried 3 different Skype versions for WM that all installed with no errors. If anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it! BTW, during install it says have to have wi-fi/Active Sync or 3G connection. We don't even have 2G in this area of Thailand so connected to Internet via Active Sync.

I tried my luck with Skype on TG01 a long time ago, both winmo6.1 and 6.5, found some outdated (even at that moment) skype winmo kits but they didn't seem to work anymore. Skype communication being proprietary, they can change it whenever they want, thus rendering old kits useless...
If however anybody does have Skype on Tg01, please share it with us the noobs that don't know that it works on winmo... Thanks

I do remember a Skype announcement last year IIRC saying they weren't going to support WM anymore, but I thought that was just for software updates. Also, other WM users here seem to still be able to connect. My brother has been using Skype on his BB Storm 2 with no problems until recently when it suddenly would not connect to the Skype server. He called his telecom to see if they were blocking the connection but they said no blocking whatsoever. Now that M$ bought Skype one would think that WM support would rise from the ashes. Sure hope someone has a fix!

Thanks for the link. I have this version already and it didn't work, but downloaded and installed it from your link and it's doing the same thing...showing the Skype white and blue screen with the spinning icon, but not connecting. I confirmed that my Internet connection was good before starting it. Any suggestions?

I ve hav same problem.
Connect whit wifi, then enter your login,pass. Then wait about 2minutes , it will say that cannot connect, something like that. Then try to connect once again, after second time skype should connect normaly...

I've tried that over and over again with 2 different phones, 2 different versions of WinMo and 2 or 3 or 4 different Skypemobile cab/exe files and it still won't connect. The Skype icon just spins. I wonder if connecting directly via USB to Windows Mobile Device Center (W7 Ult.) might cause a problem, since my D-Link Wi-Fi modem is in the shop...again. I've also tried connecting to Skype via cell tower, also no joy. I can peruse any other website except Skype.
This is baffling!

Sure, just send me a PM. I'm not having a problem with installing any of the Skype versions, they just won't connect. They go through all the motions, but just won't connect to the Skype server. As far as PPC programs I'll be happy to share whatever I have.

only the first time you have and you have to wait and wait longer

as bakcup and you will not even have to wait

months ago on wm 6.5.x I have test the same skype.cab- it works. The FIRST time run it will no log in. close it after try. the all next time log in very quick .........

by my always working 3.0.0.256
but on the HD2 first time mast waiting and waitnig
on the Topaz abaut 5 min.
on the blackstone 5 min.
I`m take alweys backup of the folder skype in the application data and newer waitnig
try it conect via wifi to the network then
log in wrong
to see is the evrything ok
if you get response from Skype network
pasword or the login is wrong
then is nothing wrong with Skype
it is somewhere near you
