New ROM for Qtek S200 WWE

I finally got my hands on the WWE version of the Swedish ROM that's been available for a couple of days. (The one lvsw used for his latest upgrade?)
It's now uploading to the ftp..

I'm looking for a ROM which includes an IPL (version 2.15 or 2.20) I've only found one ROM so far (the dutch one on the FTP site) that contains an IPL version (old 2.10) could you ask the qtek.se site if they have an ROM containing and IPL update ?
It would help me building a complete update ROM

- Decompress and run de exe file. Don't close your grey installing window.
- Locate the just created temporary directory, something like:
C:\Documents and settings\username\local config\temp\rarXX , or pftxx or the like (look by time/date, it's, something created one minute before your current time)
- Copy the full directory and contents to somewhere else in your PC.
- Close the still opened grey window
- get ROMUpdateUtility_NoID.exe from the forum, and copy to the directory you just moved to your pc
- from this "new" directory you copied in your PC, execute ROMUpdateUtility_NoID.exe
It worked for me. Good Luck

The extended rom of this rom is only swedish specifiq or does it have other mobile carriers defenitions from other countries????

For those of you that are uncertain about this new ROM. The installation did go fine, and with Sprite upgrade program I did not loose any files or programs in the process. Stable, and I have my Qtek splashscreen back!!
Please note that since not all S200's are S200's, I had to use the NoID utility to upgrade.

Change language from French to English (Qtek S200)

I did search the forum, but I couldnt find the answer.
Im sorry if I missed it and Im openin new thread.
Here is my problem:
I was wondering is there any way to change the language from french to english? I got Qtek S200 (Version de ROM: 2.15.7.38 FRE)

No way to switch in your current configuration ... you must change your ROM tto a WWE version like those discusses here.

i think i'ts the same form nld tot wwe that would be no problem if I do that to connect with the belgium mobiel phone network (I live in belgium)

When you change the ROM it changes the brain on your phone, including the language. The safest choice is an official ROM with novenderID at the end of the file name. For instance the Dopod, which I am using, or go one step further to the new Qtek WWE ROM. I doesn't matter which ROM you install, you will be able to change the settings to accommodate your service provider, although it probably won't be automatic.

Hi,
Actually you can!
If you manage to get both French and English versions upgrades ROM from QTEK website you can try this procedure that I figured out.
1. Extract all the files (french and english) in separate directories using Winrar or any similar tools
2. Launch as if you wanted to upgrade a french rom as normally done
3. Stop at the screen after all checks are completed (that is when the upgrade button appears)
4. Replace the french .nbf with the english .nbf file while keeping the french name. Thus is the trick, the nbf file will then pushed to your phone...
5. Continue with upgrade as usual.
6. Upgrade should go on and you should be done.

Ohlala Simplfied Chinese WM6 ROM v4 released!!

This is the ROM I have been using since 5May2007!
It is a 99.99% bugless SIMPLIFIED CHINESE WM6 ROM edited by myself.
I changed the pagepool size from 4MB to 12MB.
It is smooth, no hang. can charge via USB cable, no problem of IR, BT, WIFI, MMS. No loss of SMS.
Screenshots are attached.
Note: Chinese people in mainland Chinese use simplified Chinese; Chinese people in HK, Taiwan use Traditional Chinese.

But anyway, there is almost no bug of this rom, but I am still unable to send out a MMS successfully. Maybe you can try it out for me. Thanks!

This thread is talking about simplified chinese rom, don't ask me about traditional chinese rom please. I will post it under the corresponding thread later if I have time to make it. Try out this simplified chinese rom. It also supports traditional chinese display. You can install 3rd party chinese input method by yourself.

I have upgraded by your software, But when I restart the mobile, system ask me for code...... I have typed 10 times wrong code, so now I can only try in every 30 mins.
Actually I didn't remember when do I have a code.
I guess there is a standard code for WM6?

What code? I don't get you. Did you set any lock password?
Actually you need to flash aku2.x no vendor ID before flashing my rom. have you done that? If you don't know the basic steps of downgrading and upgrading, please search over this forum. I don't have your problem at all.

There is only 1 English keyboard in my rom. install other input method by yourself pls.

do u hav links to other keyboards software?
letter recogniser, phonepad? etc...?

MMS also no problem now, it is a configuration issue. I solved it after configuration MMS server and so on. So my rom has no bug now!

Seems you are not so familiar in flashing roms.
You ought to flas your NVID rom and the do a hard reset.
After reboot, no need to do configuration, just flash my rom, then perform a hard reset.
Try again plz!
By the way, pls DON'T ask me questions about simplified chinese rom in the traditional chinese thread!

Please upload HK English Kaiser ROM dump. I call it HKE here. It will use for make a english cook ROM able to display Chinese.

I own a HK CHT Kaiser. But I don't like the Chinese interface. Reason to buy CHT version it because I need display Chinese.
Long Text:
I start a project to make WWE ROM display chinese. I was success to make it. But there is problem is WWE ROM's Internet Explorer's signature is not allow by HK telco. For example, I cannot access mobile.three.com.hk (Carrier: 3)
So I need a HKE ROM to test.
Another project is make HK CHT Kaiser use English interface. It is more better to keep those Chinese application (especially voice regconize app). But it is more difficult I thought.
By the way, CHT ROM cannot successfully re-constructed after dump from Kaiser. There is expert here checking on it (i hope). I will continue study how to make it work.
Please upload it if you have.

Can you upload the ROM?
Pls aware that, if you use cab and instruction in the following page. Uninstall the cab may cause phone and other application not working.

ic, it seems no one has such ROM here. I posted in HK forum before to see possible to get it too. If no HKE ROM obtain, the only way is make CHT ROM re-construction work. WWE ROM is not suitable to use in HK. I am use austinsnyc WWE ROM now. As said before, cannot access 3G portal to view streaming video ..etc. I will try to ask telco fix it too.

Tadzio is near to put the 2.1 final version of his tools. I hope helps you with the reconstructed CHT ROM to work.

I am unsure your ROM is the one I want. But if the device is purchase in HK it should be ok. If you use 3 network, this ROM should be able to access mobile.three.com.hk.

Not use CE-Star and Monster Chinese is it has relative high overhead and less stable.
My plan is use HK English ROM to make a trim down ROM to allow Chinese display. It will give fast and stable ROM.
If you have HK English ROM, pls upload to somewhere e.g. rapidshare.

Re-constructed CHT ROM is not expected

With Tadzio's imgfs 2.1 rc2. jcespi2005 able to create a ROM with bigstorage flag. But the ROM does not contain some application it should have. Especially the connection tab of setup.
Most worst is Network automatic setup is not working. After quick test, network connection (internet) is not working too even manually add connection setup.
The CHT ROM is quite strange. Now only one small step to next stop.
I need ENG ROM to merge best CHT program and ENG speed stability. No HK English ROM was receive until now.

all hk english rom are WWE, and will not display www.mobile.three.com.hk , I got my phone from wilson and it is the official hk version with synergy warranty.

Viewing mobile.three.com.hk
I also own a CHT Kaiser in HK but I want to use autocomplete....
Therefore, I have to stick with WWE ROM and I had changed it to WWE + Monster Chinese (MC) WM5.3 + MC SIP WM6.
For viewing mobile.three.com.hk, I use NETFRONT v3.3 and this software provides you setting change so that you can view the "3" website without any problem. The setting is as follows:
- Change user agent from "Mozilla/4.0" to "SANYO-S103/1.000 UP.Browser/7.0.2.1.sn.1.222 (GUI) MMP/2.0"
For me, my concern on using WWE ROM is that I will lose the chinese typing capability of the hardware keyboard. Although CE Star can help, it's far too UNSTABLE.
So, hardware keyboard for Chinese typing is my last desire.....

in my Chs version case, just copy sunglobe.ttf to the dump directory where there is a wince.nls you should overwrite it with the Chs one
and then modify the default.hv(which contains most of registry informations)
change these keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink]
"Arial"="\\Windows\\sunglobe.ttf,unisun"
"Courier New"="\\Windows\\sunglobe.ttf,unisun"
"Times New Roman"="\\Windows\\sunglobe.ttf,unisun"
"Tahoma"="\\Windows\\sunglobe.ttf,unisun"
and that's all i have done to make my rom support simplified Chinese sung character, i think that should be some help in your CHT case

How to change keyboard layout from QWERTZ to QWERTY:
- HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\DefaultLayout -> change it 00000409
- HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001ffff\Keyboard Layout -> change to 00000409
- Reboot... you now have the latest and greatest wm6.1 english rom!

no, they are very much different. don't ever try, it will break your q8.

dude, you need to scroll down towards the settings and try to like read the choices as if it is in english. you need to go to language settings and select us english or something like that then after reboot you are in for a ride... goodluck!

I dont like this wm6.5 verson. Still have some things in chinese after change language, just like the "new sms" and "new mms". Other problem on this firmware is the branding...

but that chinese windows cant change font to standart and change became kanjui font and i dont understand

I wrongly flashed my Q9h with WM 6.1 AT&T updates with sim lock from motorola software update site. Now my device is locked. How to remove this lock? Anyone can help?
