Latest rom for SDA?

what is the latest rom for teh sda/tornado/etc... my wm6 does not work too well and would want wm5 that is stable fast and can do anything... no need for mods to make it work right...

That's too bad WM6 doesn't work well. I've been tempted to upgrade my SDA, I guess I'd better not.

I disagree -- WM6 does work well on the SDA. Using "Karhoe's Step-by-step pictorial guide to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6" referenced in this thread, I was very successful upgrading my SDA from WM5 to WM6. I've got everything I've tried so far working so I'm a happy camper!!!

I agree, I also have an SDA, and while I've had to play around with a few things to get it just right, I'm in a nice happy place. If you want a rom that's got most of the knicks worked out, try the Perfect English Edition Rom here.

I downloaded the file, but bevor I update my german SDA (with WM2003se) I want to ask if I can switch the language to german? Is this possible, and is this version (I downloaded) with Windows Mobile 5 ?

don't ever bother to upgrade because your device is a typhoon/feeler/amadeus variant which is running wm2003se. this ROM is for tornado variants only which is running wm5. however you can still upgrade it to wm5 or wm6. read here.

Perhaps most things work well, but there is a post by Karhoe about WiFi not working. I use WiFi more than anything else. I can tolerate some bugs, but any that causes problems with WiFi will probably cause me a lot of grief.
I will probably try WM6 soon anyway. Grief or not, I can't help but upgrade to the newest version of everything even if it causes more problems than it solves.

SDHC support? Please try this.

I found this file from other forum. It said to support WM5, up to 32gb. I don't have SDHC card, so I can not verify it; one person tried on his MDA, it worked, but mess up Wifi. If you have a SDHC card, worth the try.

It doesn't works for me.
I used a Toshiba SDHC 4GB card.
I have a WM6 from "wm6-for-tornado-perfect-english-edition-20070810.zip"
All is perfect but the tornado is not able to recognize the card.

I think the best place to grab the SDHC driver is to get it from TI OMAP 850 devices that have SDHC

Do you know how to do it?
Could you please help to solve this problem?

I say in one of the cooked ROM contained the SDHC file.

Do you know which one contain it?
I read a lot in this days but never got the solution.

I think it is necessary adapt driver from VOX (controller (OMAP850_SDHC_MUX.dll), bus (sdbus.dll), and cards (sdmemory.dll)). They support SDHC....

Well VOX supports SHDC? It uses same proessor, so someone just got to experiment with the DLL, I don't have a SDHC, i dont know much about modifying these stuff, so someone with SDHC card just have to play around

I have a Sdhc and I will be happy to test it but I'm completely newbie about roms.
If someone is able to provide me a little tutorial I will test it.
e.g.
download that rom
open it using that software
take that dll and put it on your phone.

In the first page of Nitro's rom, someone mentioned SDHC support, but it was not confirmed. If you are willing, maybe you can try it. And, of course remember superCID it.

I have a full Vox rom dump and Vox registry dump , will try to stick it together, hope that SD files from Vox will be compatible with Tornado SD slot. Is the SD hardware any different than in Vox? I don't think so because chipset is the same, but how do You think?

so far no luck... But I'm now sure that S710 files are incompatible with tornados, I must think about other devices with OMAP 850 chipset. I'll try with Wizard, which else devices would you suggest?

MDA Compact ROM Upgrade

I see there is an Upgrade for the ROM/OS for the Magician which I understand should solve my SDIO Wifi card lockups ( Bios Upgrade needed) I see by the Post (UPDATE 2 - Fixes) Rom Wwe 2.03 For Htc Magician (jam) that it looks very straightforward. As I am very attached to this MDA Compact I cant afford for it to go down . Can u advise whether I can use the above 'Upgrade' with the MDA Compact which I understand is the same phone as the Magician?

oi mate it does work i tryed it on my mda
but i dont know about thw wifi thing i havent tryed that

it works..
i am using it on my o2 mini, sandisk wlan card..802.11+256 mb storage..it works good..drivers are on sandisk website...

MDA Compact Rom Upgrade
Thanks for feedback on this matter. Whats the info about BIG Storage? Is there improved memory available on this upgrade? Anyone had any bugs or problems since the Upgrade? Certain comments have been about a 'Hard Reset' before adding the extra updates? Any tips on a successful Upgrade? Probably gonna have a stiff Brandy before carrying it out!

hi e very body, i really want to use rom w6.1 (because i like 6.1's style of message box) but i try 3 roms , all of them have aproblem with bluetooth( i cant connect my lap via active sync by buetooth, i can do it good in w6.0)
So can any body tell me which rom 6.1 dont have a problem with bluetooth?

There is only one "WM6.1" rom out at the moment (ie PDAViet's) - and thats more of a hybrid WM6\WM6.1
So, just be patient, and we'll get a proper WM6.1 ROM...

DFT put there ROM also and forum has links for both versions 128 and 64, although no idea whether it's indeed WM 6.1 or it's combination of WM6&WM6.1

hey man by the way m orignally from allahabad too lol anyways as for ur question wm6.1 is only a beta version n its stablity on universal fone is not yet determined. lets say if there is no best stable rom of wm6 avaliable on the net in comparision to the packed wm5 wm6.1 is still a long wat to go .. anyways u can still download roms under universal mobile 6 . topic and get the rom most adaptable to ur liking. thou wud hav to compromise on certain issues as every cracked wm5+ rom has one or the other issue so u wud jus need to make a choice which rom suites ur need to the best..

its probably that ur jack or pin detectors is broken its not have to do with a rom.. still if u have any doubt i would suggest u to take out ur sim card and ur sd card and flash a shipped rom of universal n once flased recheck if it works ??.. still problem persists chek ur sim card in any other fone and c if its giving problem in copying contacts from sim to fone or fone to sim ! if so then probably u need a new sim card .. get a this one replaced by ur service provider with an extra charge that they might take to replace ur sim..
