Network configuration tool - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

Hi, i'm trying to access to the web from my Tornado, under gprs connexion, but i can't. I've got the right operator config, and it connects, but after searching an url, it returns a blank page!
So i'm trying to look at my config step by step.
I've found the microsoft tool called Network Analyser, but it's a static tool test, not configurable.
So i've decided to write my own tool, to enable user to do simple network tests, like ipconfig, nslookup, ping...
I choose C# for the portability, but i don't find the tools to perform these tasks. There is a namespace System.Net.NetworkInformation in .NET who contains all i need but it misses on Compact.NET!!!
So i've two questions:
-How can i find the right tools to write my software (NetworkInformation, or maybe some Windows Mobile API)?
-Could somebody be interested by this kind of network application?
It could be something like that:

}

SMS-Notifiy (Smartphone) -> Equivilant for PPCs ?!

I am looking for an application on PPCs that basically does what SMS Notify for MS Smartphones does:
http://smsnotify.developer.net.nz/
Showing a Picture of the contact that is sending me a message. Basically a "Photo Contacts" for SMS.
Is there any Tool for PPCs that can do this?
Best regards

Have you tried downloading and installing this on your ppc?
No. But on the website it says
Will SMSNotify work on Windows Mobile 2002 devices.
No, SMSNotify requires technology that was only introduced in the Windows Mobile 2003 device. There is no way to work around this.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
So I am not sure if this would work on a Windows Mobile 5 Device - maybe I will give it a go, but I think that it won't work.
UPDATE: Tried to install it. The install failed on my MDA VARIO ( HTC WIZARD ) - so nope - it (sadly ) don't work

Wifi certificate network connection Tornado.

Hello all,
Ok I need serious Help.
I’m trying to connect on a Wifi secure network that use a “certificate” to login with my HTC Tornado.
I do have the certificate install on my smartphone, we can actually see them in the security options:
{

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It works under a WM6 PDA but on the smartphone when I arrive at the certificate selection nothing happens:
Here is where the problem happens:
When I hit properties on the PDA WM6 this shows up :
But on the HTC Tornado nothing shows up, so i can't finish the configuration for some reasons I can’t select the Free certificate.
Can someone help me out with this please?

Doesn't the cert need to be in Root? Not personal?
Hello,
Has anybody solved this issue? I'm facing exactly the same one...
Many thank in advance.

has anyone tryed this yet??
i've looked in the PocketPC VOIP Threads... there are many instructions about that but nothing found for smartphone yet...
i don't have any idea how that should work, how to become the settings in the phone and so on!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
i don't find any files in the smartphone that are descripted in the link above...

VOIP works on my Shadow WM6.0 phone. I should work in WM6.1
Just install the voip enabler cab file, configure your +_setup.xml file, compile it with cabarc, go to settings>phone>Internet calling and enable it.
I'm using Callcentric as my SIP provider and it works great (I tried Freedigits and Gizmo also).

Bluehoo

"Bluehoo is a mobile app that helps you make new social connections with the people around you - for business or for pleasure.

Bluehoo uses Bluetooth to discover "hoos" around you right here, right now, shows you those people’s profiles and helps you start conversations.
bluehooservice Moto Q9c - people report this device has a custom Bluehooth stack and doesnt currently work with Bluehoo - sorry! We require the MS stack"

Landscape problems.

Alright, here is the problem:
I wanted to use IM client yesterday. But well, when I am in landscape mode, the client notices it only half-way. I don't know how to call it exactly.
The output from the client works fine, but when I want to write something, I can't see anything. Even if I try using softbutton - I am not able to read the selected thing.
If you don't understand me well, then here is the screenshot:

}
All I know is that this started happening after I've installed the advanced configuration tool. However, when I've tried restoring settings to default with it, nothing has changed. Is it possible that the .NET framework is messing up with this? I really don't like to write using the software keyboard and I don't want to hard-reset yet.
Run Advanced Config again. Press "menu">"more settings">"cleartype" and untick "Enable Cleartype on screen rotation"
