EMU/ROM Smartphone on Pharos help - General Topics

Did a search = nothing for WM6 or pharos 600 phone
Anyone had any luck loading a NES or SNES emulator on a Pharos 600 phone? Or any WM6 phone. I tried PocketSNES 1.1 and i could not map the buttons correctly only the 'start' button would work.
Probably newbie question: This phone has the Samsung SC3 2442, 400 MHz processor. Is that considered ARM type, MIPS, SH3?
thanks!!

The 750, like all Treo's is a PDA phone, not a smartphone, even though they call them smartphones.
http://euro.palm.com/uk/en/products/treo750v/specs.html
I understand that...
There are 2 versions of WM5 a smartphone version and a pocket pc version (with touch screen)...They have the treo 750 listed in the smartphone section (here) but I thought it was a PPC version of WM5
That's what I was trying to say. The 750v like all Windows Mobile Treo's use WM5 PPC Phone Edition OS. Yes you are correct that it should not be in the smartphone section.
Gotcha....thanks

Application Compatibility and Games on the HTC Apache & Hermes

Hi;
I've got a XV6600 which I love and after finding out what a crappy EVDO service verizon has, I'm gonna have to drop them and go with a different provider and phone. I really like the HTC apache and Hermes phones! I was wondering if most PPC2003 applications will work on WM5? I play a lot of games using Cegg, PokeNES (PocketNES), and PocketGenesis, etc and I was wondering If anyone has tried any of these emulators under a HTC Hermes or Apache phone? Do these apps work? They work flawlessly on the Blueangel (except for Pocketgenesis). Is the Samsung SC32442A compatible with all the Intel Xscale/ARM applications?
Thx

"Is the Samsung SC32442A compatible with all the Intel Xscale/ARM applications?"
it should be they are both arm based
if there are issues it's likely to be win2005 issues and since games and such dont use windows but are written directly for the cpu it should work

plz help me i want to upgrade my imate ultimate 8150

Plz help i want to upgrade my i mate ultimate 8150
to 6.5 mobile windows
tell me about it how should i do it
regards
I think it isn't a magician
Hello there!
I think the 8150 isn't a HTC Magician, because:
-it has 520 Mhz CPU, not 416, as in the Magician
-it has VGA resolution (480*640), not QVGA (240*320) as in the Magician
-it has Built-in numeric phone keyboard, the magician doesn't have this good
-supports microSD, the magician only supports full sized sd cards
-it has TWO camera, not 1 as in the Magician
And last the most important:
it has WIFI. the magician doesn't have wifi. (i wish it have )
Hope it helps
Regards:
Reeedim
EDIT: If you would like Wm 6.5 on your phone, there's a WinMo 6.5 skin for SPB Mobile shell 3.5 somewhere out. Search it on XDA
os updrade
pls. help me updrade my ultimate 8150 os to wm6.5 if possible.

Does anybody know of a ppc emulator for smartphone?

this , you can try it.......
It doesnt work. Is there any in cab format?
The one Hakim Rahman posted is for the PC, not the smartphone.
Why do you want the "PPC" be simulated on the smartphone?
The smartphone is basically a stripped down version of the PPC (leaving out the touchscreen and some other things). To run PPC software on the smartphone you usually need a cursor/pointer/mouse emulator to be able to push the on-screen bottons. Also mind that the PPC had different HW platforms, while for smartphone only the ARM CPU is supported.
yes you are right tobbie ...
This is for smartphones
to test it you can use GLBenchmark

[Q] Firmware upgrade: MiTAC Mio 180 Digi-Walker

I have a relatively old PDA manufactured in 2005 or 2006:
MiTAC Mio 180 Digi-Walker
CPU clock: 312 MHz
CPU: 32bit Intel XScale PXA270 (Arm-based). See Wikipedia for a detailed description.
-- the same as: Psion Teklogix Neo (running WinCE 5.0), Palm Centro 690 CDMA (running Palm OS), CompuLab Exeda (running Google Android 1.0! but it has a CPU clock of 520 MHz. BTW: Can I change the clock frequency of my CPU?)
RAM: 64 MB, free: 57.66 MB
Display resolution: 240 x 320
Currently works under Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC, ver. 4.21.1088
Can I upgrade the firmware to Windows Mobile 5 or 6 (or maybe Android?), or is better to throw it into the trash bin?
